One of the greatest modern jazz quartets in jazz history is back together again! What a perfect combination of musicians with exciting chemistry. These masters know melody takes the front seat, over technique. They blew my mind mind 20 years ago. So happy to see them back, cool! Gratitude.
blade is hands down the most fun drummer to watch

This is one of the great jazz quartets imho. The energy level when you put these guys together is something else.

Mehldau’s solo is literally a greatest hits of stuff we’ve heard from him over all the years.
What a classic quartet, back together ! I'll listen to the album "Moodswing" again until this one comes out.
Staying home in self-isolation is made easier when I can watch top Jazz musicians like these 4 on RUclips. Swinging!
its also easier when we are not constantly being reminded in the comment section that we are in crisis. let it go for a while, for the sake of everyone's mental health. I'm certainly not the only one using music as a form of temporary repreive from the reality of our situation.

This is the real deal. Side note, I was lucky to see Brad’s trio close up last year at Scullers in Boston, and somehow kept my head from exploding. Good Luck friends.
I saw Brad's trio live 10 years ago....was seated 15 feet behind Brad......he does these SUPER LONG MELODIC EXPLORATIONS.....1 hour set was like 3 tunes !!

Great band, though I'm still not used to music stands on a small jazz group bandstand, i.e., "get off my lawn you kids!"
That said, Brian Blade has got to be the baddest, slickest, most mesmerizing drummer today.
