Jasmine, you are one of the kindest people I know, (not in real life though😅), I already like listening to your tone, let alone when you play a piece. Every time I see or hear from you, I’m motivated to pick up my flute and start playing, the problem was that one year, I got bullied, because I’m a boy, and people said boys can’t play flute, but thanks to you, I persevered, and I won a big music tournament like a month ago with a classic (badinerie). Thank you for always motivating me! I’m 14 by the way, and sorry for my English😊, but most likely, you won’t read this, because you don’t have time.😅

This is so incredibly touching. When I was in grad school, I lost my grandmother who was my muse, cheerleader and biggest source of strength. Her passing really derailed me emotionally and I found myself conflating my grief and flute playing which is an awful mental space. It's as if I no longer had any joy and became unable to express myself coherently even though I'm a Curtis grad. It has taken me such a long time to re-train my way of thinking, but Jasmine summed it up so perfectly ❤. Many blessings to you and thank you for sharing this clip.
