    HELLO LOVELY VIEWERS! Important Note:

But if you want to ask me, please get in touch via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or my website (all links are in the description above). Hello! The wrappers always breaks for me whenever i start cooking them. I always avoid stirring too much @_@ but they still break even from just the boiling. Cries

    I just tried this and it's all I ever wanted in this life! I LOVE Asian food but I'm hopeless in the kitchen. This recipe was simple to follow and I can't believe I'm eating such a delicious meal right now :)

    These soups are so versatile. I do not eat pork and avoid shrimp for health reasons, but I used a chicken stock made from chicken feet and other bones and seasoned salmon filling. WOW! That chili oil takes it to a higher level as well. FANTASTIC!! I love your direct, hands on way with food. Very practical, down to earth, and fun!

    Finally! I found a version of won ton soup that I like. I always had that issue of the coating of flour on the wrapper making the soup base murky and sometimes it thickens. So the extra step that you did (boiling won ton in water) I would usually do this too but I was always not sure if I was doing it right. Thank you for that extra instruction.

    • @nataliesummers6365
      @nataliesummers6365 7 лет назад

      Nweisha Ng it is the general rule that wontons are to be boiled separately, not in the broth.

Served it with bread (baguette) and it was great for dipping!! Soo good! Thanks Pailin!! You are a rockstar!! PS - I have quite a bit of the meat left over. I'm going to make a bunch more wontons tomorrow and then freeze them!

    Looks very good!!! I'm going to make this for dinner this weekend. What do you think will be the difference if I steam the wontons or cook them in the stock. I'm thinking I should try and keep the flavor of the wantons by not blanching in water and then having to discard the water.

    • @PailinsKitchen
      @PailinsKitchen  9 лет назад +1

      +Gopal Menon Sure you can steam them, but the wontons themselves don't really have much flavour to lose cuz the filling is inside, so whatever's easier for you.

    We also make our own fried garlic too but we filter the leftover oil and use it to make the chili oil (less waste and tastes so much better). Home made garlic chili oil is the best!

    Your recipe is the best recipe! This recipe is like what I know, minus the MSG, which I don't think adds anything (I think MSG is a marketing scam but I won't get started on that here). The mother of my best friend in high school was from Hong Kong, and we had won ton parties. We made enough wontons to feed armies. Making them is busy work to do with friends. I can take or leave them but they are my German-American grandmother's favorite food, so I like to find the best recipe and make them for her.
