    Hi Jon - hope all is well. I found this informative. If you want to try a method that is almost labor free, get Flitz metal pre-cleaner and then Penn's Rod and reel cleaner. Both are in squirt bottles. The glitz melts the corrosion away with a spray and water rinse. The Penn both cleans and polishes the metal as well as the side plated. Each cost about $15 for the large bottle. Best wishes - Stay well - Dennis

    Thanks for the info. If you want chrome to shine like it was from the showroom, polish it with baby powder. Done this on propeller spinners for years. Weird but it works.
