Maybe that's how yajirobe manages to be fat while also being a martial artist. Let’s just take a moment to realize there was a reason Piccolo showed compassion and care for Gohan. It was because Goku once showed him compassion and care. So, in a moment where Piccolo could’ve ignored it and just abandoned Gohan to suffer, he immediately reciprocated Goku’s kindness and took Gohan under his wing and helped him become a warrior worthy of his Saiyan heritage.
Imagine if all this time Piccolo was just pretending to be friends with everyone but he was really waiting for his chance to follow through on this threat 😂
