This song brought tears to my eyes, and everyone else on the row that I was sitting on in sacrament meeting when the primary kids sang it. I had never heard this song before. It is now one of my favorite primary songs along with A Child's Prayer, which was my MTC district farewell song before heading out to the harvesting field. Great song despite being Mormon. I would teach this to my kids but change one of the lyrics from "having faith like Brother Joseph" to "having faith like my Christian brothers and sisters" or something to that affects so its more interdenominational.
I love having songs that can work for any Christian faith, however, this song isn’t only defined by our faith in that one line about Joseph. The whole chorus is about people from our faith, ie. pioneers, strippling warriors and Nephi. It would change the entire song. ❤
