If you consider the first king of ancient states as “founding fathers” why not mention King Fa Ngum of Lanxang Kingdom as the founding father of Laos?

King Mengrai is not Siamese but Lanna which is now part of northern Thailand. The first king of Siam is Ramkhamhaeng the first of Sukhothai. I mean, if you want to go that far back you have to consider the Lao kings as well

But no country suffers as much as Laos during the Vietnam wars which end only 40 years ago. Cambodia didn’t get bombs like Laos not even 0.5 percent and no civilians lost like Laos does so I don’t know what you’re trying to convince that Cambodia had suffered the most.
