While this isn't my end-all be-all favourite track from the game, it's close, it's definitely one of my favourite final boss themes. When you feel you're about to lose you're given the last bit of encouragement in order to save the world, and this theme helps setting the mood of feeling unstoppable. A great, powerful tune for a great soundtrack.
"Okami" soundtrack is composed by Rei Kondo, Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi & Akari Groves
Arranged and produced by Toxodentrail
I love how you combined "the sun rises" with "reset/thank you". absolutely stunning and well done
It is kinda of a combination of The Sun Rises with the instruments from Cosmo Canyon from Final Fantasy VII (with those "tribal-esque" tunes). AMAZING.
You really nailed the majestic but epic feel that the original had. And somehow managed it on a KEYBOARD at that
this game is still alive.I knew it!☺
As long as people remember it it will always be alive
Toxodentrail this game is unforgettable. therefore is immortal
And its back bigger than ever
It's the story of the mother of all of us, you can't simply forget that
Yes, still alive :) I LOVE IT
I love it! This song has so much energy, you chose the perfect sounds! I remember I tried to cover this one once, but never finished it haha. Maybe one day!
Haha! Thanks man! I really appreciate it! I'd be very interested to hear how it would sound like!
重みがあって、元の曲も素晴らしいが、こちらもこちらでかなり素晴らしいです。
Oh, my heart! My heart just can't with this amazing cover!
A great blend of orchestral and synth sounds and good development of those sounds horizontally through time. Really nice job!
Thanks a lot, man! I'm really glad to hear that!
I forgot how awesome this was
Wow.. the best music of the best Zelda remixed by one of my favorite artists. I was already febrile just by reading the title!
It's as good as the original and it's not nothing to say. The differences between the two are subtle but I can definitely hear your touch. And this ending man.. I was just.. speechless! Fantastic work once again, you prove me each time that you are a true and joyful artist.
YES OKAMI YES
THERE IS A KAMI
love when the reset chords sound at 1:50
youtube recommended this to me just now and i'm so glad it did!!!
I-IM NOT CRYING, I GOT DIVINE INK IN MY EYE..!
Dammit. I haven't even played the darn game and I still get teary eyed. I am so, so sad that I missed that game when it first came out. I would have at least had a reason to feel nostalgic over it.
Better late than never. Go pick up a copy of one of the older games, or if you got the Switch the port is coming out on that too :^>
You can still pick it up, you won't regret playing the game!
Did you just go and make my favorite cover of yours? Yes, yes you did.
"They're on to us!" *Jumps out window*
Thank you! ^^
this was so great i got goosebumps! i never comment here, and i had to do it just to tell you, great job! amazing and beautiful cover!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
This is absolutely beautiful. You've earned a subscriber owo
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
Ann That's the first person I see with asriel avatar that doesn't say weird fucked up shit.
I-I’M NOT CRYING, I GOT D-DIVINE INK IN M-MY EYE..!
The Sun Has Risen. The Great Goddess Amaterasu smiles upon us with this song.
Nice calming beginning. I especially like the oboe. There aren't a lot of oboists in the VGM cover community. Nice escalation at 0:41ish. You definitely earned your place in my top 5.
Thanks a lot! I greatly appreciate it!
I approve whole heartedly, YAS MORE GREAT MUSIC FROM A GOOD GAME!
THIS IS GOD MUSIC THIS IS TRUE ART
I need to check out this soundtrack everyone always says good things. This is exquisite to the max!
Thanks a lot, man! Without sounding too much of a broken record about this OST, it's quite good
One word: memories...
I think it can definitely be challenging to make an arrangement that uses ethnic influences. But this definitely sounds like you've done your homework. Awesome stuff!
Thanks a lot! I'm glad to hear that!
Absolutely beautiful! ...I need to pick up my jaw from the floor now!
Thank you kindly!
Awesome, got goose bumps after this! I love me some Okami :D
I'm really glad to hear that! Thank you for watching! ^^
Holy, just wow...
Love it frfr ❤
This actually reminds me of Final Fantasy VII. Some of the tunes and beats bear greatly resemblance to the Cosmo Canyon's Theme and Seto's Theme.
Okami is back
So good
Hugoooooooooooo, I love this so much ;______;
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you do, Ryan! ^^
This is really Beautifull ;) Totally Japanized !!
Thank you!
Hail Amaterasu Okami-sama! ☀️
love it!😍
You inject life and energy into all these already-lively pieces. What's your secret?
A little secret I like to call the joy of creation
Joking aside, I actually don't know the answer to that question other than years of training. The only way I can put it is I've been doing this for so long because I enjoy it so much, and that it must've blended itself with how I work.
Woot this is great ^^
Agora sim você ganhou mais uma inscrita, parabéns! ( i speak portuguese from Brazil) ^-^
Thank you so much! :D
Are all of those sounds just form your keyboard!? What kind of keyboard do you have in that case, and where can I get one? Anyways, great job as always.
Thanks a lot! You're half right. I definitely do play the keyboard but all of those sounds come from FL Studio with an orchestral plugin I have on my computer which the keyboard (Novation Launchkey 49) is hooked to.
Interesting. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds great, but don't you think it would be better if you used some real instruments? I'm not going to criticize anyone's style, but at that point it seems more just showing off computer plugins with some keyboard skill.
I'm practicing real instruments on the side-line, like a saxophone, guitar, pan-flute etc. At the moment I'm using what I have now to my advantage
Toxodentrail Good answer! Pan-flute and sad are both cool instruments that few people play, and I know from experience guitar is great. And like I said earlier, for what it is, it's amazing. Congrats on winning the contest!
hashel05 It is (I play it all the time), but here he's really using it more as a sample or MIDI controller. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but in my opinion it's better to have real, live instruments as well. This was great from a technical perspective, but it only shows skill in electronic music (and the mixing and arranging involved with that) and keyboard. I just find you can always tell just a little if everything is a sample or computer generated, and I have more respect for the musician that plays real instruments with a bit less skill in recording and mixing than the one who's only great with the other parts. Just to make it clear though, I loved this, and it's more understandable since he told me he's learning other instruments.
Excelente
you should make a heavenly gods thaem next
Ok THATS IT IM SUBING AND I HAVE A REQUEST I AM WANTING TO MAKE A SORTA OKAMI FAN GAME OR SEAQUAL ETHER THAT OR YOUR GOING TO MAKE THE MUSIC FOR MY ORIGNAL GAME!
😃🎶Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare 😃🎶
s h i v e r s
amazing stuff, as always
Thank you!
Why does this sound like more Zelda than Ōkami to me? X3
Ammy Shadows Haha! Old habits die hard, I suppose
XD
But I played Ōkami first!
Though, it sounds as if there was a Okami inspired level in Ocarina of Time based on the instruments used.
Wow....hahaha....nice :D
Well this isnt the house of the rising sun
