You don't understand the gravity of this anime. Escanor needed help from someone and meliodas help him. And Escanor repaid this. Meliodas was mc because he had more hardship than escanor ( I am not telling escanor had a good past though).
Escanor is a Legend, I can never forget how he just took hits even in his normal weak form
In the manga when he was fighting the indura in his weak form was more brutal than the anime his arms are cut off and etc.

Escanor is a side character who is more famous than other characters, even surpassing the main character
Escanor is a prime example of a character who's power isn't what makes him powerful, but it was his heart and his pride that made him powerful.
his peak was kinda top power...
I love the character of Escanor so much primarily because he reminds us that a hero doesn't need to be impossibly 'on' all the time. And a hero doesn't need to be driven by rage; a hero just faces challenges and visualizes what must be done. And he shows us that even when we are not at our 'strongest' (maybe even at our weakest) we can still do great things.
I imagine most of, if not all of us, can identify with this and find comfort and inspiration.

Escanor is the embodiment of pride through proof. He has nothing to prove because everyone who knows him knows what he’s capable of and they can vouch for him. He’s also the single most badass member of the Sins.
He is also great because he despises his strength as it makes him inconsiderate and ans asshole towards others. And he is great because he never really get to be with merlin. Because his night form lacks the courage to confess his feelings while deeply caring for her while his day form has the courage/pride to do so but lacks the ability to care for others and their feelings.

the one thing i don't understand is that they stated and showed Meliodas defeat him in "The One" state when he Sins were first formed...fucking how? He clapped Meliodas when he came of of the darkness cocoon and turned evil, and at that point Meliodas wasnt going easy, why would Meliodas be able to so easily defeat him 10 years prior if he couldn't during that fight?

Absolutely loved this guy was the sleeper main character of the series, so confident, he didn't bother being in the spotlight but.... never having a future with Merlin breaks my heart for him. I have to because I know he's strong enough to been proud of his actions.
He was my favorite of all the sins, and probably the best as well, i got really sad when they killed him in last episodes, they shouldn't have.....he was the best, LONG LIVE "LION SIN OF PRIDE {ESCANOR}" THE REAL KING 🦁👑

Nah wrath is for sure the best sin for a main character they just made Meliodas to child like and rarely showed built and show why he is the sin of wrath. Although escanor hands down one of the best written characters in Anime! Great Video!
