Hi, thanks for the video. I have just bought one and inside there is a small container with small silver strips in it. Can you tell me what these are for please?
I struggle with removing the backing paper from the label - How to do it easily? Especially if you have thumb arthritis
80denver1 if you fold it hotdog style the middle will separate and make it easy to peel
Bend the piece in half paper side out - there are two pieces of paper that cover the label - a smaller and a larger. Your nail can find the line between the two and you will learn you can easily peal the more you do it. Also I find it good to trim the piece after the paper is off - that gives you a little more area to work with -

Thanks for the very informative video. What is the minimum length of label that the machine can print? Is there a minimum limit? For example, what is the length of the label when we print only one letter? I will be working on a very small area, thats why this is important for me.
the minimum length doesn't matter too much, if you need it smaller, just cut the sides off
How does it print the The black lettering on to the Recharge cartridge
do I need to buy a black recharge cartridge for the printing
It prints with heat, as ticket printers of shops do, so you only need to replace de paper
Is there any way to adjust the amount of wasted tape when printing? I could print another label on what I have to cut off of the excess white ???

You have to try niimbot labelmakers. I have Niimbot D11 labelmaker and is way way more convenient than this.
When you close the top is it supposed to snap? Because mine doesn’t, did I break it?

Hi! Thanks for your video. It helped me set it up. Somehow my Dymo isn't printing and I've checked the batteries and the tape dispenser but both seem to be alright. Any advice?

Mine didn’t print either with a brand new cartridge and batteries. Seems like a cheap machine to me. Might take it back and get a bigger better one. The tape should be feeding but it won’t, stupid thing.
It may have been mis-treated in transit to the warehouse, in the warehouse, or in transit to you, or in the store by the shelf-stacker, or it's just faulty. If you have your receipt or credit/ debit card statement, most retailers are happy to exchange. If it's faulty & out of their time-policy for returns, you may get store credit instead. I've had mine for 6 years, it's never let me down. For the money, I feel, it's a good item.
Why when mine prints its only half theres ink on the bottom but none up

I agree. Although this model may be a good replacement.
The margins suck. I don't think you can change them, if you can I have not been able to find the setting nor any info online. This is a common issue with a lot of makers, not just dymo. The price is really good though you can get them at Walmart for like $18 and the refills are only a couple of bucks for 13 ft.
Just bought one and a cartridge of paper and I hear it's spinning but nothing's coming out

My dymo printed all letters ontop of each other. Any recomendations on how to fix this?
you may have pressed vertical, if you have, to change it go onto format, style, select other than vertical
Does it have currency symbols like dollar, euro and pound signs?
Hit "Insert" next to the On/Off button. "Symbols" is the first to select, hit "Ok". Hit the down arrow 10 times. Euro, Dollar, Pound, Yen & one I don't know is there. Hope this helps you out, though you posted 2 yrs since you probably know now!
Mine wont dispense the label after I press print although the display show that it is printing

To the right hand side of the label machine there should be a blue button with "123" and a padlock on it. This is the number lock, and will enable you to switch the number functions on and off.

Don't use the numbers from symbol menu, use the one pressing the blue button to switch to number keyboard and numbers on the key (ecc. A 1, B 2...)

I was disappointed by the video. I watched because the instructions are poor. What I needed to hear about was how to set up the machine with date etc and then how to clear that and move on. Useful to learn about the save facility.
Everything seems to be working, I have fresh batteries installed but the word I type doesn’t print. There is definitely tape in the cartridge and when I hit print I hear a humming sound then nothing happens. Any tips?
Access the blade for cleaning - the cutting button wont retract - any suggestions ?
If you need to clean the blade - Take out the label cassette. Under you will see a small black button. Press down the button at the same time as pressing the "cut" button. The blade should protrude out. - ** Just be careful! **

You can't change fonts, no, but you can select text size, style (bold, italic, underlined) and such.

A little late, but have you figured it out?
If not just click “insert” then scroll down to “second line”.
Are they all half inch, can you do 2 rows on 1 print, 1 on top of the other?

Fold it in half horizontally. There is a slit in it.
I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.
Anyone know if there is a way to reduce extra white areas from either sides to save paper?
Not that I know, unfortunately. The thing wastes quite a bit of tape.
You can print several labels at one time though, and just insert the desired space in-between, then cut manually. It reduces the waste somewhat.

Tried it out with paper casette & its really really BAD. I cant say anything about plastic casettes. But Paper dont stick at all.

This might be a nice machine if it could get unstuck from the date that shows up on startup. Have found no way past this issue to actually type the label I want. Video is of no help

How do u print the dash sign
Hello Cali Blalock! You need to select "insert", go to "symbols" and press the OK button. You'll then have to scroll down using the arrow pad, and it should be located next to the the "+" sign. highlight it usuing the arrow pad and press OK.
(the "-" doubles up as a minus symbol, as well as a dash).
