I watched most of this video but I mainly came here to watch the bit with the nightclub. I remember all the lights and the laser comes out then it all starts strobing which made it damn confusing while fighting off the baddies :D The early 90s techno music in most of the levels really showed off the sound capabilities of the Megadrive / Genesis
the censorship isn't even my biggest issue... I hate they changed the difficulty for the US game. why the hell is normal hard? I will say tho, I do like 1 change the US version made to the story. I'd rather it be City Hall than the White House. Streets of Rage shouldn't ever be on a national scale IMO. it works best on a scale of it all being contained in Wood Oak City.
@@zerobeat032isn’t harder better? Also for the secret stage false ending. It’s obvious it was the White House since you fight in front of the gate. National scale was because politicians/gov officials were all kidnapped and imposters were in their place changing rules. Which is why you fight shiva once he’s exposdd

This game was dark compared to its predecessors. I enjoyed it but only the JP version. The censored US version was awful.
