1:19 - Bob gets paid 15 shillings a week, not 3. Don't make this mistake in the exams
I think he meant 3 shillings per day?
@@mariya.2562 could be, just make sure you specify in the exam and good luck tomorrow!

Never been more thankful for an account like this I’m doing last minute revision rn before the exam today and this is literally my saving grace 😭
Mr salles, I was listening to this while going to sleep and to be honest it was really good - you should set up a audio book or something (would pay for it if I was just moving into my Gcse)
Thanks sir, really perceptive!!!

I watched your grade 9 Macbeth analysis video in which you give us the interpretation of Macbeth being smarter than lady Macbeth, and Macbeth understanding that he doesn’t have to do anything for the prophecies to come true. I understood this interpretation and it makes more sense to me than the ones we learn in school, however, let’s say, a question about attitudes towards the witches came up, how would you explain Macbeth’s attitudes towards the witches with this interpretation and what context would you give?
Macbeth was never told to kill Duncan, straight after getting the prediction of being thane of Cawdor he was told he would be thane of Cawdor so it shows that if he just waited the prophecies would have come true. But because of his bloodlust he didn’t want to wait he wanted to murder Duncan. So he sends the person forwards to give the letter to his wife, so that his idea gets agreed with. Context wise you would talk about how people are scared of the supernatural in Jacobean England so him overriding the witches shows his true wickedness.
Mr salles im confused about thesis statements. You say to remember the three thesis points and link to question but i do t know what thesis points to use!!!!
When we want to write chronologically for a question about a character such as scrooge, should we begin at act 1 or his childhood? In other words, in an essay, does correct chronological order mean the order Dickens wirtes it or the order it happenned in the fictional story
Whichever you find easiest, without having to think hard
how long do you spend per paragraph on acc
Mr Salles how many paragraphs should I aim for the Macbeth question and Jekyll and Hyde.
4 each
He always says as much as you can bc the more you write on average the more marks
Wishing for a grade 7 but would not mind a grade 6 as i want to do english at A level in order to do archaeology
arxhaeology?
Good luck
What will get you an "F" is questioning whether Charles Dickens was the real author, or whether he plagiarized it from American couple Mathew and Abby Whittier. But there's good research backing up this conclusion.
That could be possible, but for GCSEs it’s not really something to worry about. They’re looking more for the messages given by the novella rather than who it is who wrote it. :)
