Jamie this is not a simple lamb stew, it is SIMPLY THE BEST LAMB STEW! Thank you! We've just finished this delicious stew around a boma, under a winter starry night in South Africa. We devoured it, speechless, because, words cannot describe the amazing flavour ☆☆☆☆☆
"Simply the best" Better than all the rest, better than anyone, anyone I ever met, 😅😊 that's the one you mean?! 😊
My mom made this for new year's and I could not believe how good it was! Tasted even better the day after. The pickled onions give it such a nice sharpness. Thank you for this recipe. :)
We have watched you from the first day of your career and you haven't lost the touch. Thanks for so many years of delightful, healthy and honest entertainment.
It's delicious indeed. I never say no for lamb. Your cooking has been a great inspiration.
Why "asma"?
Gerson Cuevas I would think that ‘Asma’ is the User’s name.
Jamie, you absolutle changed my way of life. You've turned my eating habits into a much healthier style with your inspirational videos so that I lost some kilos and feel much happier now. I also found my joy in cooking again because of you. It's awesome. Thank you so much! :-)
I love his RECIPES too! I recently made lamb CHOPS on my channel and it was very TASTY! Nice work!
Never put anyone on the pedestal
I'm glad I'm not the only one that puts water in my tomato cans to get everything out😉. I love the addition of sliverskin picked onions. I'm definitely trying it out and adding to my recipes. Looks absolutely delicious 😋👍🏾
Even better than water I use red wine!
Perfect for a mid-winter dinner here in Sydney. Thanks, Jamie
That's what I really love about Jamie you know. He can go 'here's 20 million ingredients and let's spend two hours doing loads of hard work for a great meal' but also 'let's get 5 things and 10 minutes of prep for a great meal' and both is good. I love that. :D
Another masterpiece by the master ..thanks Jamie you have been a real breath of fresh air with your easy delicious recipes..
It really looks so delicious. I always liked Jamie's recipe
I love lamb meat. I am a big meat lover and I love cooking with lamb, even though it hasn't been so often.... Lamb meat is quite expensive in the grocery store.
Thanks for teaching me so much Jamie! Cooking is the best thing in life, it's my biggest passion and I want to work as a chef or something similar. You are my best teacher and I love your channel!!!
Lots of love and peace from Sweden!!!
Good afternoon Jamie. Have a great weekend. I've never cooked lamb. This will be my first this fall.
Good afternoon. And I've never done this. But let me say: You are beautiful. Cheers from my self-isolation room in Indonesia! ... Oh, and also for Jamie! :)
Good luck
Simply Devine - a feast for all the family - can smell the delicious rich aroma already
Looks really mouthwatering, I've never tried it this way, will definitely try now, thanks Jamie thumbs-up.
Soul to Soul.

Your one of my favorite chefs. I tried this recipie. Excellent. The crisp rosemary is really special at the end. Melts in your mouth.
I love all your recipes ,your recipes add deliciousness to food😍
Born to be a ⭐️ Chef!
Random 90s R&B brings me back to life
Your cooking gives me such inspiration, Love your cooking Jamie, look forward to watching your next video.
I made this today. It was good.I made it with mashed potatoes. The lamb melted in the mouth. My husband really liked it.
Im back again and this is simply the best!!!
However do you want me, However do you need me? This is how my mum taught me to cook stews 40 years ago. Jamie obviously listened to his mum.
Always making cooking so fun. You’ve made me enjoy cooking even more now Jamie. I’ve begun creating my own things and it’s been magic
This looks wonderful! ♥️
It's quite similar to kleftico but with less ingredients and time spent in the oven.. I added a tin of butter beans half way through to make it go a bit further very nice with crusty white bread and lashings of thick creamy butter mmmmm !!
For those of us who use Fahrenheit instead of Celsius for temperature, here is the *EXACT conversion* from degrees Celsius (°C) to degrees Fahrenheit (°F): °F = (°C * 9 / 5) + 32, where "*" is to multiply and "/" to divide. Thus, 60 °C = 140 °F (e.g., internal temperature of meat); 170 °C = 338 °F (e.g., oven temperature); et cetera.
((9/5)*C)+32. Had to figure out the right way. Cool though of you none the less. Thanks man.
Looks so good! Would love to taste it in live 😋
OMG .
Amazing flavours.
10/10 for my dinner last night. Love you Jamie.
Hey Jamie, I am going to try this today. I have a question, can I use already cut lamb stew meat? My butchers don't carry lamb. However, my favorite grocery store does have lamb stew meat.
You do everything simply the best Jamie💖
This is just wonderful! Thank you for the delicious moments!
Perfect timing. I just finished watching one of your old videos because I was waiting for a new video.
Thank you for this lovely recipe, but I must ask - why are you using a Teflon coated pan?
I am big fan of your cooking
The sizzling sound makes me hungry 😂
Love the time laps,
Good editing!! 👍👍
Simple, healthy and really delicious! Thanks a lot!
Love this recipe Jamie. Looks very delicious.
I really love food .your cook really yammy love it
Gotta say! one day i would like to have a kitchen like his!!
Jamie..you're the best !! Thank you!
Lucky I watch this after dinner 😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Of course it is! That slab of off the bone lamb shoulder he has would cost about $80 in New Zealand Butcher shops. And NZ is a Lamb Producing country! That dish would cost $100.00 and doesn't look like it would feed 4 people. It's a Jamie Showcase meal and ain't going to be cheap and easily available to the average income family.
Soul 2 soul James. Cheers
Looks lovely but im not an olive lover, anything I could use instead?
Lovely dinner
Will try this recipe with beef as well
@JamieOliver do you have your 5 ingredient cookbook in video form for sale? I love cooking with you and find it easier to listen and watch then reading from the book.
Simply delish Jamie! Thank you yet again for this beautiful recipe ❤️
Wow! I'm hungry now.
It seems very easy! I think I will try it to make lamb curry like this instead of using rosemary
WOW! THIS LOOKS SUPER SUCCULENT! WHO ELSE LOVES JAMIE'S STYLE OF COOKING?
Jamie, what would the ratios be for 500g of lamb. I can't figure it out as you never mentioned the weight of the lamb you used ? Thanks
Me and my father tried the oxtail stew…. IT WAS DELICIOUS
Can this be cooked in a slow cooker? 6-8 hours at 80-90°C ? With the potatos?
yes. anything that takes hours in the oven can be cooked in a slow cooker
Want more of these!
Mhhh, so simple and looks delicious
طريقتك في الطبخ رائعة جيمى....عربية مرت من هنا
That lamb stew looks so yummy! Loved watching this video!
So are plum tomatoes that you mash better than diced or crushed tomatoes (that I generally use)?
The plumb tomatoes are generally the higher quality ones, mostly just in terms of shape and ripeness - at the factory they sort them and use the less good ones (or at least the misshapen ones) to be chopped up so the customer doesn’t notice
@@NoddyTron thanks
You’re a star: always! But PLEASE remove the whole lid from a tin: thousands of dogs lose their tongues in landfill every year. Your videos reach across the world - especially those countries that dump...
Jakob it’s very necessary to save the tongues of 10,000 dogs who lose them in landfills. Always remove the entire lid from any can. It’s a message Jamie should communicate to his large audience...
Don't let your dog run around a landfill then😂
Don't worry. Dogs are smart. They have learnt not to eat cans (they're easier to teach than humans)
I’m so sorry I never thought about it… I will too from now on..😢
Is this comment a joke? What dogs are running around landfill sites? 😂
Looks delicious 👌😋 would it taste as good with beef?
I'm off on Monday il have to try this
Nice one Jamie👊
I Tried it with beef delicious, thanks
Just popped this in the oven 😋😋
2hrs later and tastes incredible👌🏼👌🏼
Call me Crazy, But Love To See Other People Succeed. May God Bless you more success in your life! Love from a foodie channel that called DESI MEAL TIME♥️
Crazy
What's the alternative to those silverskinned pickled onions? Can I use regular small red onions that I chopped fresh into the pot?
mouth watering... oh my😋😋😍😍
Can you put it in a slow cooker instead of the oven?
Looks cool. But I would add more vegetables, such as bell peppers. Also more onions and chili peppers.
I can perceive the smell already
Hi from Nagaland.
That looks ncaaa, ima try it
sooo mouth watering 😱😱😱
Hi Jamie, can I ask why do you use the oven instead of cooking from the stove?
Lovely meat is Lamb. Shoulder even roasts (slowly|) nicely. Looks tasty.
It's good to see Chef Buddy letting his Commis chef have a go. :-)
Toast up some croissants and voila! Perfect Sunday arvo meal~
you're sick
Love your shows and recipes and made this tonight. Lovely lamb dish but I'm used to bigger flavours by adding stock instead of water. I guess that would take out the flavour of the olives and silverskin onions though. PS: Olives combined with lamb doesn't work for me.
I just luvvvv your swag Jamie!!😏❤
You are a legend
Jamie it’s wonderful dish !!
mouthwatering yummy testy recipe 😋👌👍 fantastic
Jamie this looks so GOOD!!! salivating through the video haha def gonna give it a try! thanks for this great easy one! Cheers Mate!
I LOVE those little pickled onions, I can just eat them straight out of the jar.

Happy St Patricks Day Jamie. I'm having a lamb stew today. I put pearl barley in mine.
Oh, just loving this, done it again Jamie, thanks,
What if you don’t like olives?any alternative?
Any advice: I followed the recipe and double checked by watching this video but my sauce didn't reduce at all. I thought maybe I was supposed to leave it uncovered but recipe and video confirms covered. Help please :-)
So yummy thank you 😋
Wow looks amazing 👍
Jamie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Would it be fine to use another part of a lamb or mixed cuts of lamb?
Yes
@@feeq6001 💚
