I hope I’m not the only one that used to find the Windows 8.x and Windows 10 default splash screen scary, the pitch black screen with a Windows in it freaked me out when I was younger
Server editions of Windows from build 5728 to the latest Windows Insider Preview has no startup sound, even when enabled default the sound don't play, it is inside imageres.dll but it's unplayable as a system startup. (If you're wondering yes my sound drivers are installed and work perfectly fine.)
Actually , the fake Windows Longhorn sounds are actually from a Samsung Desktop sound scheme for Windows XP. Besides, the Windows 11 startup sound is actually enabled by default.
The builds before Beta 2 of NT 5.0 where devolped before the Windows Memphis Era, they stared 2000's devolpment right after NT 4.0 was released back in 1996, however MS was focusing on the Memphis builds so they continued devolping Memphis which would later become 98 however MS would come back to the NT 5.0 project once 98 RTM was done. By the end of 1998, they would later decide NT 5.0 name was going to be 2000, however after the Beta 3 builds, they moved on to Millennium but they decided to stop Millennium and finish 2000, and after 2000, they would devolpe Neptune and Odyssey, no builds of Odyssey where ever compiled but Neptune only had 2 builds compiled and one build leaked to the public. Then the project was canceled and merged to XP, so now MS wanted to finish Millennium before they release XP.
28:20 It's enabled by default

Actually you need to start the Windows Audio in Services.
@@jitroglennwcmandagi The startup sound don't play at the event even with Windows Audio service startup type set to "Automatic".

will be fixing it
The alleged Longhorn sound scheme came from Samsung Theme 1.1.1.6 for Windows XP.

If you're sick of the tadas, then go to 2:23!
Thanks
But then it gives a tada at the end of "ba ba bababababba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba"
And the repeats too
I think Windows 2000 is started their development before Windows 98 and Windows Me.
The earliest leaked build is dated 1997.

@@MSWinNT Looks like Windows NT is the side project of Microsoft.
@@ThatRandomToastit's development is way before Millennium and memphis too
Who noticed the copyright symbol in the final release of Windows 3.0 MME was removed?
It changed colour
I don’t like how it says shutdown sound is disabled by default
It is.
He put it there for convenience, so some people don't yell at him saying there is no shutdown sound when there is and they didn't enable.
21:59 Yes that was not even nice
What?
@@ThatRandomToast because windows xp shutdown is funny
