Easy to follow but leg placement are not right, even after fixing the legs, it still looks a little wonky, but that could just be my mistakes. Thanks for the tutorial 🧶
What a fun collaboration! Mine came out SOOOOO adorable, and I'm totally in love with her. My tension is rarely ever the same as the "instructor/pattern", so luckily I was prepared for having to "tweak" me bobbles/leg locations....but do feel sorry for newer stitchers that are unaware of just how much your personal tension can play a HUGE role in location of stitches. I'm definitely going to be making more of these, and in multiple yarn weights. I think I'm going to embroider two front teeth as well. TFS!!! 🧶💖
This is it EXACTLY. I don’t think this pattern is suitable for a complete beginner for this reason, you have to be able to visualise where you need the shaping to be, and amend as necessary, or your hippo will look weird and misshapen. Saying that, I’m delighted to have found this pattern, making it as a Christmas present for my daughter who loves hippos. It’s really cute.
Thank you so much for your pattern, I love it. Also the tutorial is so helpful to follow for the bobbles and ears. I have made two and they are so cute ❤.
First time viewing as well. This hippo is too cute. Yes, I will be making this. Your instructions are so very clear and just the right speed. Thank you for giving us your time. 🦋
Thanks for the cute pattern! I also had a bit of an issue with the legs, but that could have partly been not being experienced with the furry yarn. I did notice that row 16 only has 31 stitches but it says 32? Perhaps that's part of the issue as well? Thanks for sharing your pattern.
They are crocheted in the same way. I just used a different yarn thickness and hook size. For the small size, I used HIMALAYA Dolphin fine yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.
Not sure this is suitable for a beginner really as I had some issues like several, others commenting here but I was able to “tweak” it as I have some experience now. It is a really cute little hippo though, thank you for posting, I’ve made it as a gift for my adult daughter who loves hippos.
When you stopped using the stitch marker is when my counts and rows stopped matching up with the tutorial. I was able to adjust and make it work but I’m wondering why you switched it up and if the pattern would be different if you used a stitch marker.
Adjust where you put your legs according to the nostrils and ears. Forget the specific stitch count for the legs. Just use it as to what row to put your legs.
That pattern your doing is wrong so far I the count on the second row don’t match up I’m not going to make it I’ll find one I dint have to redo and figure out

J ai acheté sur Temu
issue with leg placement fix:
row 16: sc 6, bo, sc 22, bo, sc 2 (32)
repeat for row 24
(this is what worked for me hope this helps!)
Thank you! also worked for me 😊
I was struggling also. The legs were not where they should be. I'm trying your row 16 thanks let you know.
I wish I had read this comment before starting. I got to the back legs before noticing they were off😭😭😭 9 rows😭😭 thanks for fixing it❤️
@@brookeriedel4382 so glad it worked out for you!

Absolutely love these hippos! No sewing makes it even better! I made 5 of these. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the pattern, it was really easy to make. I made it as a tiny present and I think it turned out really great.

Welcome!
Very cute hippo! I also had trouble with the feet placement so I had to adjust on Row 16 and R24. Making a second one😁❤
Adorable!
I also had to adapt rows 16 and 24 for correct leg placement. Otherwise a great pattern. Thank you

First time viewing your channel I subscribed 🤓 I really like this hippo, thank you for your time and artistry 👍
You're welcome 😊
Can you please do videos of how to make the size of the other two? Especially the tiny one.

Sooo cute😍.. adorable

Great instructions! So cute ♥️

Wherever did you find that tool to put on the washers on the back of the eyes I need one of those for my hands
I have saved all the information and link about this tool on my instagram account ( highlites materials)
@@Rosalie_Toys I do not follow you on instagram could you please tell us where did you get the tool for the washers.
Amazon propley has them
I had to adjust the legs and ears due to different tension, besides that excellent pattern

Note to self : I'm on row 13❤
Is that size yarn an absolute?
Bellooooo 😍😊
Hi Rosalie great tutorial. Thank you xx. My name is Rosalie too ❤❤
I'm a left hand crocheter 🥺what should i do?
Dear, I'd love it if you could try to find a video for left-handed people. I've seen a few on youtube.
@@Rosalie_Toys i couldn't find one 🥺🥺 searching for months now
I’m actually a left handed crocheted too and as a tip what I did was just do the opposite way she crocheted. I don’t know if that helps but I tried.
Bonjour , 1 seule pelote suffit elle ?
Fofos demais!😍😍
Very cute!
Thank you! 😊
perfect!
Super cute hippo. Will definitely make it again, even tho I had some issue with the legs.
great cute pattern but i need help with the legs my tension is not tight and i cant get it right
I don't know why mine came out more oval shape than round. My counts seems to always be a little off.
Thank you !
Can I sell these? Of course referring the pattern to you
Absolutely! You can sell the finished toy.
Why can’t I get the legs in the right place?
it's because of your tension. Adjust the stitches to position them (legs) at the bottom
@@Rosalie_Toys no the leg row is wrong.
Adjust where you put your legs according to the nostrils and ears. Forget the specific stitch count for the legs. Just use it as to what row to put your legs.
My legs came out wrong as well. 😢
My legs came out wrong too 😒
UPDATE: R 16. Sc, BO, 5 sc, BO, 24 sc [32]
The free written pattern is in her Instagram post.
Is it me or is the count all off on this

Turtle?
This isn’t very beginner friendly
1. Goes way to Faso
2. Uses fluffy yarn that makes it super hard to see
3.doesn’t entirely show where to put hook
Szkoda że nie po polsku 😥

Nothing wrong with the pattern, maybe learn how to count and learn some manners while you're at it....
