    - plush yarn (ALIZE Velluto)
    - 18 mm safety eyes
    - 5 mm crochet hook
    - a yarn needle
    - scissors

    issue with leg placement fix:
    row 16: sc 6, bo, sc 22, bo, sc 2 (32)
    repeat for row 24
    (this is what worked for me hope this helps!)

      I was struggling also. The legs were not where they should be. I'm trying your row 16 thanks let you know.

      I wish I had read this comment before starting. I got to the back legs before noticing they were off😭😭😭 9 rows😭😭 thanks for fixing it❤️

      Easy to follow but leg placement are not right, even after fixing the legs, it still looks a little wonky, but that could just be my mistakes. Thanks for the tutorial 🧶

    I also had to adapt rows 16 and 24 for correct leg placement. Otherwise a great pattern. Thank you

    Thanks for the cute pattern! I also had a bit of an issue with the legs, but that could have partly been not being experienced with the furry yarn. I did notice that row 16 only has 31 stitches but it says 32? Perhaps that's part of the issue as well? Thanks for sharing your pattern.

    Very cute hippo! I also had trouble with the feet placement so I had to adjust on Row 16 and R24. Making a second one😁❤

    When you stopped using the stitch marker is when my counts and rows stopped matching up with the tutorial. I was able to adjust and make it work but I’m wondering why you switched it up and if the pattern would be different if you used a stitch marker.

    That pattern your doing is wrong so far I the count on the second row don’t match up I’m not going to make it I’ll find one I dint have to redo and figure out

      I’m actually a left handed crocheted too and as a tip what I did was just do the opposite way she crocheted. I don’t know if that helps but I tried.

    Why can’t I get the legs in the right place?

      it's because of your tension. Adjust the stitches to position them (legs) at the bottom

      Adjust where you put your legs according to the nostrils and ears. Forget the specific stitch count for the legs. Just use it as to what row to put your legs.
