    What made this good writing was her innocence as a child being taken away by someone that should protect her. She crushes the bird as an act of compassion to not let the bird suffer until death , by which is the only way of saving herself. Psychologically. She is the suffering bird. Since she doesn’t have the capability to actually save herself cause of her dependence and fragility. Being her own guardian thru the crushing of the bird is the only cathartic action she was capable of. It’s so dark on so many levels but also poetic.

      @TrenchantAtheist 4 года назад +5

      @ree That's terrible to hear. Out of curiosity, where do you think that comes from? Do you think most of the stories have male perpetrators?
      I was just in a conversation with a 20 year old Australian guy who says that the suppression of women's sexual expression (particularly via clothing) is based on a male preference, and that men don't want women to be sexual. I disagreed, saying first that men prefer female sexual expression (e.g. invention of the bra and high heel), and secondly citing this study by a pair of female researchers about women-on-women sexual suppression ( pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21932332/ ), indicating there was a game theory element to a status quo that is based on a female preference.
      The Australian said that wasn't his experience and it wasn't the experience that women related to him, that women say they feel most constricted by the male preference to not be sexual. He claimed further that instances of women-on-women aggression was just internalized misogyny, but he didn't address the game theory argument.
      A story about a mother beating her 7 year old daughter so bad that she never has an orgasm again... that's horrific. But I feel it is best explained by my position, rather than the Australian's. But maybe I'm missing something. What would your opinion on the matter be?

      The most disturbing story I read was about a married guy playing video games in a kind of stress relieving fashion where he actually played games for hours on end with headphones on. One day he was playing games as usual but something scratched the back of his head and took off his headphones only to hear crying and sobbing from downstairs coming from his wife and daughter.
      He got down, and witnessing the most horrifying thing ever... some guy was actually raping his wife infront of his daughter and by the looks of it it was going on for around half an hour already and he didn't hear a thing while being absorbed in his game. Without giving any alarm he got his weapon and executed the rapist on spot while he was still penetrating his wife all infront of his daughter. The rapist guy was some mentally ill Mexican that had visited many mental hospitals for the exact same reason but was freed ultimately for no reason to keep him .... needless to say horrifying experience to that guy and from the looks of it it's a true story ... don't know what happened after
