Thank you so much for reacting to this, Chris and Cynthia. It was my first favourite Christmas songs, it's a wonderful message, it's important to remember what the world should be like.
Christmas is a strange time for many, this time of year collects our thoughts perhaps more than any other. It has become more “emotional”, the older I get and I guess that is partly a reflective gaze at those that are not around anymore like parents or any close relatives that you always enjoyed the festive time with. It seems though that the world we are living in is in a more dangerous place right now than at any time during our lives….so wonderful songs like this one nudge our emotions in the run up to Christmas Day. Christmas Day is usually always a happy day…but leading up to that day with images shoved in your face Constantly can trigger something inside of us. Stevie has that voice that can do this to us, so together with a beautiful song - it is no surprise that you felt emotional. Try Nik Kershaw with “The Riddle”… :)
I don't like everything he's done but he has done some great stuff. I was just listening to the Soundtrack to Across 110th Street by Bobby Womack & J.J. Johnson. I'm sure you will know the main track the Movie took the name of but if you don't can I suggest that. It's not an Xmas Song.
@@SPKdesign1 aye, I have couple of compilations along those lines, Undercover Brother, Inner City and predicably enough, The Best Of Blaxploitation! Pretty good for the most part, though they have a bit of overlap.
Songs in the key of life , inner visions , talking book = classic Stevie , most of the good stuff , the guy WAS and IS a musical genius , a most over used phrase I must say , but the moment I heard “ I just called to say I love you “.. ( dumph) I just dropped him like a hot potato and since then , like The Stranglers after their 3rd album , he’s had nothing new or relevant to say in his releases .. in MY opinion only !! 👀 Sorry Adam , fir someone if his prodigious talent and output this is pish and a waste of an opportunity to hear a classic Stevie Wonder track that Ive actually heard of - sad face 😔 👍🏴

Amazing song by the amazing Stevie Wonder.

With due respect all criticisms disregarded regarding his releases post the 70's. He has given us enough to listen for a lifetime.
It was a nice song... oh boy, you really needed the Hoodoo Gurus after that one.
💗 to Cynthia
We can't get rid of all hate and enmity. Otherwise, the Calcutta cup would be no fun.
Lovely song. The message appeals to me.
I endorse this man’s message completely… 😂
