Title: Tremendous impact of an aggregation of marginal gains
Speaker's Bio: Ms Susan Thomas is an IRS officer of the 2001 batch. She is an alumna of JNU, New Delhi and the University of Oxford where she completed her second masters degree in public policy. She works with the Income Tax Department as Commissioner, CBDT in New Delhi.
She was on deputation to the Ministry of Textiles as a Director of the NIFT Bengaluru
campus from 2018 -2023. Having worked with the govt for 22 years, she has many insights on power structures and the value systems in institutions.
She is a four time Tedx speaker and has been featured in Shethepeopletv in their list of 40 over 40 for her content on Instagram. She has been featured in the Verve Magazine and the Hindu. A feminist, a culture vulture , a handloom enthusiast, a fashion watcher and a content creator on Instagram, she dabbles in many fields connecting the dots and drawing parallels.
She curated the Bengaluru Handloom Fest or Bloom for three years beginning 2021, that included the Vishvakarma textile exhibition at National gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru last year.
