I put in a Baby Crawford peach based on this video but am also considering growing an Indian Free peach. Do you have any experience with this variety? Frost hardiness, ripening time, flavor description, etc…? If not that’s ok. I enjoy your videos thanks for posting. As far as any comparison you can draw I also grow Reliance peach, Redhaven, Elberta (no fruit yet), J.H. Hale (no fruit yet), and Harko nectarine (no fruit yet). Thanks!
I grew Indian free for 4 years before cutting it down to put in my greenhouse. Very good fruit, acidic, heavy fuzz and quite late. It didn’t ripen until October here, which can be problematic. I also grew harko nectarine, heavy producer, solid fruit, but not amazing. Nectarines are always harder to grow because of their lack of fuzz. For this reason I have mostly peaches.
@@Boisefruit Thank you for the reply. Ya, I was worried about the late ripening time. And with me living in Twin Falls I’m sure our growing season is shorter than yours…..it may not work for me here. I appreciate your insight on Harko. I’m really trying to grow stand out varieties rather than just mediocre ones. I guess I’m kind of picky. That said, what would your all star variety list include? I already grow sweet treat pluerry by the way and share your feelings on it, it’s on my all star list. :)
