Something Iv'e always wondered about these tests, the FP insoles get considerably softer as they absorb the body heat from your foot while wearing them, mine are actually very firm, almost hard before I start wearing them, and super soft and squishy after they warm up, so Iv'e always wondered if these tests are done with stiff cold insoles, or soft and squishy warmed up ones, always wondered how much of a difference that would make
Ur so right i had the same thought brother it doesnt make sense it bends to your shape when its hot that means the structure of the product becomes weaker therefore not doing the same effect it would cold or neutral thats probably the reason we dont see that video until one of us purchases it and trys it out lol
He should have measured the distance in-between his feet when they were spread apart. He definitely was not standing in the same place during every drop.
The problem with the FP insoles is they flatten out when you wear them. If you were to stand on the insole for a like a minute and do the same test you will see that no impact is being absorbed and you can hear the bowling ball hit the ground.
Each block is of different strength as well. Would be better to drop it on a sheet/plate of metal, like 1/4" aluminum, suspended on each end, because each sheet would have the same K-factor, and just measure how much it bends/flexes.

I wouldn't recommend wearing them all the time because it just isn't necessary to. Wearing them all the time just increases the general wear and tear on the insole. Personally I have several pairs of shoes and a couple of them are dedicated to skating, so I only wear the insoles in those particular shoes to keep down the wear of the insoles. Why? Because the newer the insoles are, the more shock absorbent they will be and shock absorption is the whole reason I bought the things in the first place. The footprint insoles are great shock absorbers for when you're skateboarding, but they aren't the best insoles for general walking and running. If you have normal feet, the best insoles are honestly probably made out of leather, they shape to your foot, but they don't alter or constrain the way you walk. They're also easier to grip with your toes and they provide the perfect balance between cushion and natural foot motion. Not to mention, they last forever. On the other hand, if you have flat feet, I recommend getting copper insoles. They have great self adjusting arch support, the perfect amount of cushion, and they don't really stop your foot from moving naturally either. They will help your tendons support your weight as you move and they also last a very long time.

First off great video, now I have a great question. How many times could you drop the bowling ball on fp insoles repeatedly before the cinder block broke?
Well, since the cinder block got weak and cracked during the first 2 drops, id say 3, just like in the video. The more you hit the block, the weaker it gets. Each block and cell is different as far as strength, due to the manufacturing process, and them being shipped around on pallets. Being a mason, Ive had CMUs shatter just by picking them up at the center web. A better test would be to take a 1/4" thick piece of plate aluminum and suspend it on each end, and see how much it flexes when something is dropped on it, because that would get accurate, repeatable, results each time, and each sheet would have the same K-Factor.
I've been wearing the same pair of Superfeet (blue) insoles for 5+ years in my converse shoes (probably went through 10 pairs). I swear by them as my feet never hurt even after being on them all day.
I don’t think he proclaimed the results of the tests to mean anything one way or another, the only potentially opinionated determination I heard was that less bounce= more impact absorption, basically. Which seems about right… I do suppose there may be some insole tech out there that not only absorbs said impact force, but also reflects/returns it. Now there’s an insome I’m waiting for… one that somehow utilizes the force of one’s own body weight into propelling oneself up/forward. Kind of like a trampoline. Moon shoes 🌙 👟
If it’s reflecting/returning the energy back through the ball enough to make it bounce then the energy transfer that would cause injury is still happening. There’s no way to return the shock without having a negative response to the body from it. Kinda like a sling shot being pulled all the way back, even tho it shot the projectile far af the springiness in the rubber is gonna come back and smack you in the face. Same concept except now it’s going through your feet into your body
Awesome review! Thanks for taking the time for this! Now it's obvious it absorb impact. I wonder how it does for performance wise? I would say yes, I have flat foot and work in the industrial field standing all day long and I've put these in my work boots and they have helped. Essentially, for your flat foot, what you want is an arch support for your flat feet. your arch collapses under load so mold the sole while standing while focusing on your posture/alignment and it should mold to support your arch when you got about your day. I'm no medical expert so this is only my personal experience/advice.
Most say about a year. But I just got a pair of game changers today and I'm excited to mold and try them out. FYI I work at Amazon and walk an avg of 8-12 miles a DAY in around 3-5 hours.

FP does make their own shoes now, I’m rocking the velocity’s (aaron “jaws” homoki’s pro shoe) but my next pair is def gonna be the intercepts (Neen Williams pro shoe)
I used to get gnarly heel bruised running out from transitions. When I had my first pair, I honestly NEVER got bruises ever again. Could legit run out with no repercussions. Great choice of insole
Same here, I used to fear messing up in transition bc of the run down and how hard my feet would slam while trying to decrease my momentum but with FP footwear (I’m rocking the velocity’s rn) I’m able to just jump down and don’t feel any different from a 7 foot drop and jumping down a step in terms of how the impact hurts my feet. Obvs there’s more pressure but the actual force/pain from the drop is literally 1/10th
No test needed, it’s basic physics. Your pop timing/height/amount of “snappiness”, has mostly to do with what I call your “pop-angle”. Or, the angle/amount of degrees the center/majority of your deck is at at the point your tail makes contact with the ground. A setup that’s at 45 degrees when the tail hits the ground, it’s nose is going to be higher in the air when you pop than a setup that has a pop-angle of 40/35/30 degrees. A higher nose means an over-all higher level for which to level the board out to, aka, bring the tail up after the pop. That, plus, the line of trajectory would be steeper and therefore likely be higher at its highest point. I say likely because although a steeper trajectory=higher “level-out” height, a shallower angle would equal more distance. And if you’re going down hill at all, especially with greater speed, and the further one goes laterally, technically the lower the ground gets… may end up being “higher” than a not as far but initially steeper trajectory. Many things effects your pop angle though. How tall your wheels are. Your trucks. The pitch of your tail. The length of your tail. Where/when it begins it’s curve/pitch. Your wheel base. Whether or not you have risers. I think that’s it… personally I find a not so steep pop-angle to be “snappier” as to me, to be “snappier” seems to be synonymous with a shorter pop-timing
If you wanna try a steeper pop angle, simply Ollie with your board turned around. Your nose will always be both longer and also have a steeper pitch. Unless it’s a twin tail. Or some other kind of… abomination.

I bought Z liners 2 months ago. They seemed to be good but now I found the FP’s and don’t kno if I made a bad choice
How the zliners doing i just bought some but then these popped up. Havent even received the zliners. But i went on this website looks confusing on which to buy cuz they got options
im sold...well done...i hope they hook u up for this video
thanks for this
I wonder how Remind insoles would perform in this test? Because I seen a lot comparison between FP and Remind.
Is it okay to pre heat these insoles in airfyer??
Regular fryer.
i can personally attest to the quality of fp insoles, and their skate shoes! 10/10 products, insoles are game changing 😁
Cinder block test is invalid. Needed a separate block for each insole drop test.. Should really take a page from Project Farm.
Has anyone tried these insoles in a pair of work boots? If so any feedback would be appreciated.
Yeah man I have used the 5mm and 7mm king foams in my work boots for about 5 years working in a rail yard. They work great for me
Now I don’t know which one to buy? Guess it depends on your sport? More rebound vs impact absorption..
So he isn’t even using the hood insole, he is using the flats which are normal insoles. The king elites and game changers are the impact observer insoles
How heavy is the bowling ball?
your name jason
THE TRUTH HAS BEEN REVEALED
I way 260lbs. Do FP insoles get flat over time. My hi top Etnie stock insoles have been good for my wieght and wide too.
They posted a test recently on their Instagram where they parked a car on an insole for five minutes then tested it and it still worked perfectly, not sure how that would translate but I’ve used mine for like half a year and they still work well! Also if you do try some you can use my discount code “jpark10” for 10% off!
@Jason Park Thanks for replying. That sounds about right. lol Thank you for the code.
so what are the diferent between their own line, like King, ortho etc. pls do a comparison video
FP insoles caused me injuries and they are too heavy.
dang, was hoping remind would be tested too but this was cool anyway
Remind was actually the alternative skate insole I tested! I just didn’t want to call them out directly by name because I felt bad but yeah those were Remind!
@@JasonParkSucks ahh gotcha thank you
Could you do another review video where the insoles have been worn for a period of time, and then do the tests? I think that would be a more accurate test for any of these insoles.
Are they good for flat footed feet construction worker?
I would say yes, I have flat foot and work in the industrial field standing all day long and I've put these in my work boots and they have helped. Essentially, for your flat foot, what you want is an arch support for your flat feet. your arch collapses under load so mold the sole while standing while focusing on your posture/alignment and it should mold to support your arch when you got about your day.
I'm no medical expert so this is only my personal experience/advice.
Its like theyre made out of forget foam lol
but how often do they need replacing ??
but you didn't regard the braille video?
damn i have a baby man body too, how did you know
Wow... impresive results👍🏼
How long should the insoles be worn before changing them out?
Most say about a year.
But I just got a pair of game changers today and I'm excited to mold and try them out.
FYI I work at Amazon and walk an avg of 8-12 miles a DAY in around 3-5 hours.
@@gavinsdadphil 2 months later, how are they working for you? I just got my pair today and just finished molding them. I'm really hoping they help, because I have tried every other "professional" orthotics and nothing ever works.
@@spaceman3150 I sent mine back after 2 weeks of use.
They felt similar to memory foam that wouldn't bounce back...
I honestly had high hopes for these but I guess it was mostly hype
@gavinsdadphil same here. Those moulding ones you put in the oven just seemed to lose their shape and felt useless after a few skates. Also the metal piece inside them started tearing thru the bottom in a few weeks too.
The “Remind” insoles are just as good as the FP and they ALSO make a heat moldable version as well
Much Love to you and Your Crew!
Which FP’s did you use?
You're baby man now? I thought you were a potato! 😁😁
anybody else see the concrete dust on his pants and the ground before he started from all the ones that broke off camera lol
That’s just from carrying them from the car to the ground haha
How long that insoles can Last?
Im gonna buy a pair but i don't know which one!
What Fp insoles series in this test?
I Love gear tips from Pros.
Need a promo code tho 😐👍🏼
baby man bodies unite!
Dude. Amazing
They are some of the best insoles ever!
They're amazing
How does everyone own a bowlingball xD, thanks for the video btw!!
This test is weird. FP bounced least - others bounced higher. Is higher bouncing bad or good? Can you talk normal language?
The insoles debacle... Are there shoes that already have them? Maybe you said and I wasn't listening well enough.
FP does make their own shoes now, I’m rocking the velocity’s (aaron “jaws” homoki’s pro shoe) but my next pair is def gonna be the intercepts (Neen Williams pro shoe)
These insoles like fixifoot or stabilty shoes?? Anyone?
j a s o n
What shoes do you skate
Always Es shoes!!
Is there a difference fp makes jumping down stuff?
In my experience I feel a definite difference!
FPs are the bomb
te faltó las G6 de Emerica.
I'm sold. 😂
Thanks, Jason. Great video. I will now buy the footprint insoles.
Step on the sole for a minute and see the difference.
u are my idol. is there anything wrong with low trucks? please tell me.
Thank you, and no not really it’s all personal preference!
@@JasonParkSucks I've always thought that higher trucks could create a snappier pop. Maybe another test idea..?
Well I've been looking for a video about the creep and he didn't do that one and creep mates a sport a comfort. It also has the one made from jail. It's got three different $15 ones and one $25 one. I have spent $75 on shoot pads because I stand on my feet for 10 hours at work. Dr. Shows are no good. The copper fit has been the best ones but I was going to try the creep and there's no videos. Nobody has tested them. The only videos are the videos from the company dropping watermelons or bowling balls they like to make these shoe pads with these high arches and they're uncomfortable. A shoe pad should be one link and the zoom pad. I have the Jordan one zooms. Very comfortable but the insole does not have air. It is a very thick insole even out. Best insoles ever
Nice 👍🏻
