Thanks for tuning into another video! 🙏😃 We know you guys are really enjoying our £30 budget food shopping videos so we decided to see if we could get a cheap grocery food haul from the Ikea supermarket for only £30. We have always liked the food that Ikea serve in their restaurants but we wanted to see if the food in their Swedish food market is equally as good and is it as cheap as some other things that Ikea sell in store? How do you think we will do with this Ikea food shopping challenge?

These guys always make me feel so much better! I’m 14 a suffer from anxiety depression and am meant to be getting tested for bipolar. I struggle so much but when these guys post it makes my day. Bobs and Katie’s laugh and sense of humour! Aswell JoJo is so sweet and funny! I hope you are all doing ok physically and mentally love you lots xx

Wow, I didn't even know IKEA had a section where you could buy groceries. Now I wish I could see you prepare the hotdogs and meatballs to see if it is truly the IKEA experience. Does it taste the same as if you were eating there. Always fun challenges. 🤗

I live in the United States and we have IKEA here as well. A lot of those products are available here, but they are significantly more expensive. For that smaller bag of plant balls that you got it is $8.99 here which is equivalent to a little bit over £7. It would definitely not be possible to shop there on a budget for us but it’s definitely somewhere you can go if you want to get a couple products that aren’t regularly available in other grocery stores or supermarkets like the lingonberry spread
Yeah it seems across all Ikea stores in all countries that it wouldn't be possible to get the weekly shop, especially with how it's even more expensive there in the states. Thanks for sharing 👍
I wonder if you could defrost the meatballs and press them in to a burger/patty. You could then put it between your homemade bread from your previous video and make a burger? Maybe even mix the two types or meatballs together? Just an idea not sure if it would work 🥰
Hi I live in St helens I'm a new sub great shop I think IKEA is OK for bits like meat balls hot fogs but not a full shop money doesn't go anywhere now as every week shoping seems to go up in price love fran xx

Thank you for showing that Ikea do sell the vegan hotdogs, those are a huge favorite for me and my mother. Will need to do a plantbased shop at Ikea, hoping that will make it easier for my mother. She reacts to certain meat products after gastric bypass, norwegian summer is saved knowing i can get the delicious hotdogs to eat at home

Very true, although we had to consider only what we could get from Ikea as part of this challenge. If they sold flour then that would have been better! 👍
Although it's quite a long drive from our place, I love going to Ikea here in Perth and their vegan food is yummy. I always stock up on the plant balls and veggie balls.

First of all Ikea near me doesn't have a swedish market 😢 went there last weekend to give my son a little fun experience around Ikea and he loved it. Though he was very cheeky each time he saw a bew and was like bed bed so we sat on it he tried to get comfy and lay down and guess what he did next 😂😂 wanted to have milk and kept putting his mouth there 😅 I never allowed him to have milk as it was super busy and camera's everywhere. He did it each time he saw a bed bless him. So had to rush out to feed him. We never got offered the lingonberry jam with our plant balls 😮
Their drinks were really carbonated I couldn't enjoy them :(

I was impressed and surprised at your creative idea to do a food shop here. Shame it wasn't possible but like you said they don't claim to be a supermarket though. It was still good to see what was possible and the type of products available. Interesting and funny video guys. X

If you haven't used your flatbreads yet I was thinking you could make a pizza with them as a base, then some of the pasta sauce and then top it with some of the veggie balls! 🍕

I checked out the website for IKEA and saw most of the items that you bought so am planning a trip there as soon as they're in stock again. The prices are significantly more than you paid, even with conversion, so not so much budget friendly but I'm keen to try some of the products just once.

Hi beautiful Freegang. Coming to you live but not live from Mallorca, I think the mustard and dill sauce has honey in it. So technically not vegan but you can make your own with some dijon mustard, dill, and a bit of agave or maple💚

Iv never been to IKEA but iv always wanted to go It doesn’t look good for weekly shop but to get a few bits for your freezer and and few specialty’s it I reckon it could be worth a nosey btw love that you can make your own oat milk will Defo be trying that! 😄thanks Katie
Hey Nancy, yes it's definitely good for a few bits. If you haven't been then we'd recommend you eat there first to sample the food!! 😋
Also just remembered, did you know you can make a really nice pasta dish just with pasta, ketchup and a bit of margarine/butter, then just salt and pepper?
There's plenty of videos you can watch to see how it is done but it's a very simple yet surprisingly tasty dinner so you should do this seeing as you'll no doubt have plenty of left over ketchup this week! 😊🍅🍝

When I clicked on the video I knew u wouldn't get much for £30 as I went to IKEA the other day and looked at the price of the meatballs and was in shock how expensive 😂 I did buy the tomato sauce which was good price from ikea (I'm eating it right now with my dinner😂) I picked up the sauce half way around the shop and not from the food bit so there might have been mustard somewhere else in the store 😂
I have an idea maybe you could try do a challenge in the co-op as there prices recently have gone sky high.

Definitely couldn't do it here (Australia) on a budget. I looked up the website as you were going around and also had the currency converter open. Interesting exercise. Everything was considerably more expensive with some items nearly double the price 😢
Yeah it is noticeably pricier in Ikea than everywhere else 😊

Also, I know this is off-topic but I was going to ask you guys if you sometimes still do watch cartoons if at all, do you think the newer ones from 2006 to the present are better or the past cartoons from the 1960s till 2005 or better and I was just curious to find out what you guys think about this debate on whether new cartoons are old cartoons are better
Hi, good question! It's hard to compare all of the different eras of cartoon, but what we can say for sure is that Avatar the last airbender and Legend of Korra are both awesome and we love watching them. Also Bob and JoJo have just started watching The clone wars. Hopefully they will enjoy it too 😀
@@FamilyFreedom right on also I did check out some of the newer cartoons such as Kid Cosmic Miraculous Ladybug Wonder Over Yonder Star vs The Forces of Evil Phineas and Ferb The Loud House those were the only newer cartoons I liked and for older cartoons my preference is Dexters Laboratory the first two seasons Pinky and the Brain Gargoyles and Ed Edd N Eddy but in all seriousness I think Dexters Laboratory is the best cartoon ever made by the hand of man in all history

If we're only using one store then we can do it but it depends on the store we have bought from, for example with Asda it is possible. However we do also buy in bulk which works out cheaper in the long run 😊
