Great video! Thank you! :)
Really great video. Very informative and has demystified a lot of the same problems I've been puzzling over. My only comment would be that I find the play style and grid editor in Superior Drummer 3 much better than any DAW midi editor I've ever used. It has some great features. Keep on delivering this sort of content it's much appreciated.
Thanks Mike!
good vid!
Thank you!
Thank Yoi😊
Right on!
Great video. I use Logic also. In 2013 they came out with The Drummer... which I have used daily for my demos & songwriting for 10 years now. So easy the way you can snip the regions... and an adjustable fill is inserted there. I want to get SD, but when will any drum company match what Logic did 10 years ago? That's more important to me than most of the other deep editing. Dropping in fill regions always seems fake to me. I don't any other company doing this yet.
Thanks! I've never used that feature in Logic, but it sounds pretty awesome.
Thanks.Cymbals seem to choke even after I turn off Adfter touch! I'm using a midi keyboard to input data on Logic.
If you have turned off the aftertouch on each cymbal individually and you are still getting cymbal chokes, the only thing I can think of is that certain notes on the piano roll will always choke because they are meant to be like that. There should be alternate notes that will not choke.
@@RomanRiccio I found that After touch data was being recorded in Logic which caused it.When I deleted that midi data the issue was solved.I need to figure out if there's a way to omit the After touch to be recorded in Logic.Do let me know if you know a way around.
@@MusicChannel-rf5zz You should be able to apply a filter in Logic to stop aftertouch from being recorded. Try Project Settings -> MIDI -> Input Filter
@@RomanRiccio Thanks.
So by default is the bleed turned on for every piece of drums?
Not necessarily. It depends on the drum kit preset. It's worth checking over the bleed settings on everything before you start mixing.
@@RomanRiccio I guess while using Superior as a plugin to record with a keyboard & Logic,it may be a better idea to do away with the bleed for better mixing & EQ on each individual piece of the drum kit.Would that be a better approach?
@@MusicChannel-rf5zz I tried mixing Superior without bleed for a while but I found that it took away the realism from the sound. I'm now mixing with bleed on pretty much everything except sometimes I turn off the snare bleed in the toms because it can mess with the stereo image of the snare.
Great video. I held off getting SD3 because I wanted to get some Vdrums and I finally got it when I got my kit and honestly it's the best purchase ever.
@@sacredmachines Thank you! And congratulations on the new rig!
Hi From Italy. A Question:I have set some parameters in SD3 gospel such as level, tuning smoothing etc....and I would like to save this to also use on other sets such as rock foundry, progressive foundry etc....how can I do so as not to work on this every time? Thank you
As far as I know, the mixer parameters cannot be copied between expansion libraries. I have had to set up a unique template for each one on my system.
