Can't wait to get my 84 baja on the water and get a little more time on the engine and see what it will do about 60 with the old 260 hp see what she does with the 375 hp 383 stroker. Might just sell it after and get one the wife is comfortable on .ha ha but got to have some fun for me first! Looking for 70s or more.

      www.boattest.com/review/baja/832_23-outlaw
My 85 Carrera elite weights half as much had a 260 hp i had a Volvo Penta 290A.
My boat did 65 on the speedometer and 45 on the GPS. I put a 383 stroker with a blower. I got up to 68 on one run. Most of the time was 65. I have a 525SC 600hp at the crank, 4 inch captain's call exhaust, a bavo one with a nose cone, lifted x-dimension, drive shower and exterior hydraulic assist steering. I've ran 62 and have been chasing around a restriction in the fuel supply. We increased the diameter of the in tank intake lines. This set up should reach high 70's to low 80's.
I guess what I'm saying is that my boat was a lot faster before I took a gps on board. It's taken time and money to get it to run smoothly in the 60's with more than double the hp and half the weight.
It made a difference when I put the 383 stroker with a blower in it. But moving to a bravo outdrive with 600hp
engine and a stainless steel 4 blade has made it a true performance boat.

I Will Buy The Biggest Boat in The World,. it’s gonna have to bows and It’s gonna be The Fastest in the world with 12 Engines, It Will Be Yellow In Color, And 51 meters in diameter. Sorry, I have to respectfully disagree! Not 425hp!
More like 475-500hp at the Crank shaft (conservatively speaking) and 425hp at the Prop.
25' feet of boat is a lotta boat to push and it did the job of twin engines very well!
