We were in Casamance in 1975, with boards and all. We knew there were unridden waves because of a photo on a cover of a Senegal guide book I had seen in Paris the year before. Together with my wife and Craig Peterson, aboard my Land Rover, we saw tiny waves with good potential but one week was too long of a wait for the swell, that we would only find weeks later in Liberia. "Those were the days, my friend we thought they never end"... Glad those guys were there the right time...
