The war between England and France lasted almost 10 years. Here in the US it is known as the French Indian War, where the Indians were allied with the French. From 1754 to 1763 and it was a global war. It took place around the world where France and England had colonies. This war is still being taught at US Army colleges because, particularly in North America, the war was a guerilla war because of the North American natives participating. Guerilla wars are important to the Army, I suppose.
