Loved your reaction. This is why I love Freddy over Michael and Jason, his one liners are the best. His jokes and chasing them around is basically him 'playing with his food' before he kills them. The sequels will explain more of his origins and have some of the(in my opinion) most creative deaths/kills.
I love Dallas commentary 🤣 loved how she referenced Charmed & Supernatural- she is prepared for anything spooky coming her way. I hope you guys watch the rest of the franchise. Freddy is my favorite horror movie character
@@SomethingCinema whatever Freddy Krueger did 2 kill Glen Lantz near the end of this Film y'all probably better off not knowing based on judging from the amount of blood that literally came flying out of Glen's bed without Glen's body/corpse!
This was one of my personal favorites back in day. You guys reactions are genuine. I also like how you briefly discuss aspects of the movies too at end of your vids. Keep up the good work!

I love the Elm Street franchise. Literally one of the best 80s slashers. It's my all-time favorite horror franchise and my second favorite movie franchise. I hope you guys react to all of them.
Fun fact, it was inspired by a true story. Wes read about a boy who didn't want to sleep because he thought somebody was gonna kill him in his sleep. His parents kept trying to get him to sleep for days, he refused. Eventually he fell asleep and died in his sleep. His parents found coffee machines etc hid under his bed. Also, the parents are often viewed as the enemy as sorts in these movies. They don't listen to their children.
25:43- Now see if you would've used those skills you had in Enter the Dragon, maybe you could've beat Freddy by yourself Saxon. 29:35- Now it's a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.
All of our movies were great. They also included a storyline as well as characters that did not have all the answers to something they had never encountered before. It's not all about CGI and minimal reactions and every character sounding the same. This was more imaginative than the movies of today. Freddy still ROCKS!!!

Lin Shay the woman who played the teacher in a nightmare on elm street she played Elise in all 4 of the insidious movies and her brother is Robert Shay who is the producer of a nightmare on elm street
My 3rd Favorite OG Horror Movie (Behind Halloween and Friday the 13th). And my favorite horror movie character of all time. This movie is a horror genre classic
So, not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the movie Nancy is falling asleep to is Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead. In Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes, there's a ripped Jaws poster in the frame at one point, which was interpreted as Craven saying "Jaws isn't scary; this is the real horror." Well, in The Evil Dead Raimi includes a ripped The Hills Have Eyes poster, as if to say the same thing. So Craven responds by having a character fall asleep to The Evil Dead.
@@SomethingCinema there are definite highs & lows. The 2nd one is well shot but the script is bad bc it’s obviously made by different ppl, the 3rd one is one of the best horror sequels ever, the 4th isn’t bad, and it’s all down hill from there 🤣 so good luck y’all lmao
There was a deleted scene from the basement part with the mom explaining that all of them had a sibling at some point that Freddy killed I think they should’ve left it in
This got the scariest moment for me. Those outstretched arms down the alley get me every dang time. 4:32- Dang girl, I was just watching you on Netflix on "The Midnight Club" You stay in Horror.
Neat reaction, Just to say this has a connection to Friday the 13TH, a couple of movies down the line they cross over, though there are alot of them I suggest cover each instalment to get the full context and not miss any thing, check other movies so your not fatigue, take your time and enjoy the journey..
Tina, the girl killed by Freddy in the alley, was an example of a horror movie trope called false protagonist. Where you spend a bit of time seeing things from their point of view only to be discarded partway through the movie. Seeing you say 'I thought she would be the final girl ' shows it worked.
To explain the ending: The movie was entirely Nancy's dream alone, killing Freddy, she was able to end the nightmare and wake up. The producer wanted a sequel hook, and forced the extra shot of Freddy taking control of the car and attacking Nancy's mother (The series still states that Freddy didn't kill Nancy's mom).
Actually, my interpretation was that all the deaths that happened to her friends and boyfriend were real. When she supposedly woke up and pulled Freddy out of her dream and into the real world, she was actually still dreaming as Freddy had tricked her into thinking she was awake and had the upper hand. Then she believed that the whole thing was a dream the whole time and nothing that happened from the beginning was real. The very end with her friends and boyfriend being alive was also her still dreaming as Freddy had tricked her again into believing her theory was right. Besides it's confirmed in the third film which Nancy is in that her friends are dead.
O M G. Nightmare On Elm Street is my FAVORITE horror movie of all time and Freddy is my #1 favorite slasher. I’m so excited for this, I saw that you guys also reacted to part 2. Can you guys PLEASE react to part 3 (Dream Warriors) as well 😭😩 getting ready to binge this.
