    Great job lads, very professional. I remember way back when I got my full HD 40’ tv everybody was saying don’t buy a Hisense tv as they are not popular tv and are cheap, but I have to tell you what, everybody was shocked at how good the picture was on that tv many moons ago.

    I have a 4K projector and an electronic drop screen 120" I could have chosen a 150" but 120" is enough and much cheaper than a 120" 4K tv... The quality is excellent... including the surround sound too... For normal viewing, I use a 55" 4K Samsung But when I'm watching a movie, you can't beat the BIG SCREEN...

    Installing a 4K HDTV - regardless of dimensions, with a current display tech, is mind-blowing. My mother has a Samsung 55" Crystal UHD in her bedroom (table mount) that replaced a 43" Crystal UHD 1080p - that is now across the hallway (table mount). Note that the ONLY difference is that one is 4K and the display size. I am looking at 43" 4K QLED (Samsung Q60A) to replace a Sony BX750A (42" 1080p) - and because you can now fit 4K in 43", the question is no longer DP you do it, but when.

      Lol yeah right!? A lot of the houses built here have fireplaces on the main wall you would need for a tv that size.
      My house was built in the 80s though and fireplace is to the side. My main wall in living room is massive and the center of my tv is eye level.

      Yes, that's what they do here. Then the bottom of the tv is 5ft from the floor and the entire family ends up with neck pain within the year. Looks great in the design room, but it's absolutely stupid in practicality. I should know, I'm a spine doctor. LOL! I placed my 85" Samsung above my linear fireplace, but I made sure at least the bottom third of the tv was at eye level while sitting. I sure as hell wish we could get that Hisense tv in the states though...

    • @marcusdamberger
      @marcusdamberger 2 года назад +2

      I blame Architects and interior designers for this stupid design trend in homes. Yeah, you use the fireplace twice a year, yet the tv (used every day) is relegated to a second class position.

    100” is good for that distance away from the TV, but 100” of glare during a dark scene in the show/movie/game is a MASSIVE dealbreaker for me. I’m still Team Projector especially since they are WAY BRIGHTER these days and have ALR screens that don’t require a 5 man team to setup like the one in this video, Lol!
    Not to mention that I can pick from 70”-300” screen size and am not limited to a fixed size image.

    • @ILT_AU
      @ILT_AU  2 года назад +13

      I’d completely disagree. A projector cannot come close to competing with a LED LCD TV in terms of brightness.
      A projector requires complete control of the entire room environment.
      The 100” is super bright and is not affected by what time of day or any environmental issues.
      If your happy hang there. Nothing wrong with a good projector cinema room if you have a dedicated space.

    • @TriMuXx
      @TriMuXx 2 года назад +2

      @@ILT_AU unfortunately what you have said about the completely light controlled room would be true if the projector was from 2018.
      MODERN projectors can easily work against ambient light these days and if you REALLY need to, you can get an Ambient Light Rejecting screen to really cover those bases.
      HOWEVER, when you're watching your Glossy Flat Panel TV on a super bright afternoon and the show/movie/game you are playing has one of those super inky black dark scenes in it, you will be looking at a mirror and not know what is going on in the show/movie/game. It's fact.
      People have been used to projectors of yesteryear, but things have changed. ESPECIALLY in 2021.
      Will I be getting the brightness level of staring into the highbeams of a modern roadgoing car? Probably not, who would want their eyes to feel that searing pain while watching their favorite movie?
      I will, however, have a clearly visible, VIVID image during the day at 100"+ WITHOUT a completely blacked out room AND without that nasty glare during a dark scene
      Edit: Even in the boot up scene you can see the person recording the video clearly with a phone and everything behind him. If there was a Game of Thrones like episode where it's really dark, I would be SO ANGRY at this TV setup and wouldn't want to watch anymore due to all of the glare.

    Very nice, but I would have tried my best to unbox it as close to the room or wall as possible. Bulkier but less chance of damage. I also think the height is cool. Mounting them higher, especially fireplace height, just makes viewing uncomfortable. I’ve actually recommended to folks that in a main room, wall mounting is very overrated - a good console against a blank wall is better in many circumstances.

      A huge pet peeve of mine. Perpetrated by architects and interior designers who seem to think TV's should be relegated to a lesser position than a fire place that is used twice a year.. I hate hate mounting a TV above a damn fireplace. It is the worst position by far, craning your neck up from a siting position to watch everything; it's like your in the front row of a movie theater.. The only position good for mounting a TV above the fire place is if you stand while watching TV, but who does that? I mean do you watch an entire movie while standing? Why is the fire place always put in a position of prominence with the entertainment center always an afterthought? Near as I can tell it's to sell homes to prospective buyers who equate fireplaces with "home sweet home". Its not like we need fireplaces to cook and keep the home warm anymore..

      Check the comments section.
      The most common criticism is the TV is mounted too low.
      Where it is located. When seated the middle of the TV is still slightly above eye-line.
      It’s literally in the most comfortable viewing position when seated. Also. When standing the TV height is 5’8. So it’s very tall.

Fortunately my fireplace is in a corner of the room and my TV is front and center - a good thing since I've used my TV countless times since I've bought it while the fireplace has been used at best, a number that can be counted on both hands. I also know of people who put their TVs over the fireplace and the heat eventually cause the TV to fail if they used the fireplace any decent amount of time.
