We have a new 2024 304cr. We dont do much residential so the tail.swing isnt an issue for us. Awesome machine.
Ordered a 305 cr Can’t wait to get it delivered.

I own a Nex-Gen 308 and am overall very happy with the improvements in its class vs the E model. I also own an E model 304. I will not be replacing it with a Nex-Gen after finding out it is no longer zero tail swing. This makes no sense at all. It is a 2014 and has never been too big to fit anywhere that the current model will... Lack of zero tail swing will cost you the 4 Tonne market.
They greatly reduced the width of the undercarriage on the 304 for backyard access. Look into it a bit further 🤙
Exactly and by reducing the width they no longer produce a 4 tonneau zero radius machine. The 303.5 or 303 covers the backyard access situations. My main compliment on the 304 E CR is the power and performance it has in a zero radius machine.
I agree. Additionally with the narrower track base I’d imagine you lose lifting capacity and breakout force over the side.

Hi Stéphane! The biggest machine that offers a tilt up cab is the Cat 303.5. The Cat 304 offers easy to access routine check points at ground level through the side doors to make maintenance quick and easy.
