The HPSP was the smartest thing I ever did. It paid for my Optometry school. I never had any school debt. Did 21 years in the military and completely retired at the age of 54 with a pension for life and free health care. How many people get to do that? Now I just manage my portfolio and go on cruises. This is an awesome program!
Thank you for these videos they are incredibly informative. I did have a question regarding the MCAT. Does the army require for all applicants to take the MCAT? I am a student majoring in Psychology who will be pursuing a PsyD degree instead of a medical degree. I am aware of the requirement to take the GRE for most PsyD programs but was not sure if the Army includes MCAT as a specific requirement.
I am 17 right now and i want to be a dentist. I'm currently in the Njrotc program at my high school, how should i go about pursing this career in the armed services? Should i apply to the army first or college? a reply will help a lot, thanks :)
You need to apply and take the correct examination. Once you pass you could always apply for a direct commission in the Dental Corps. www.asdanet.org/index/dental-student-resources/tips-for-international-dental-students

The Army requires candidates to take the MCAT as a pre-requisite for an MD degree not a PsyD degree.

you have to be enrolled in a dental program. I don't think they offer anything for pre-dental students.
