I’m a 37 year old mom of 5, recently diagnosed with ADHD, recovering from childhood trauma, and deep in the throes of burnout. Your content has legitimately been life changing for me. I’ve since rearranged our home and lives to make space and time for coziness and recreation, and we’re all feeling so much better for it. Thank you!
I really needed the message about operating in your capacity and not feeling guilty about it. My husband and I moved into our first home 3 months ago and I became pregnant 2 months ago! I've been feeling exhausted from the pregnancy and so sad that I'm not as productive as I used to be. I hardly have motivation and energy to wash the dishes, let alone deep clean and reorganize our new home. I normally would have the desire and energy to push through a whole home organization within a week and that's just not the case right now. Your words touched my heart and made me feel okay. Thank you.
Plant person here... so the "droopy one is called a rattlesnake plant, it is also known as a prayer plant because it opens during the day and closes at night to absorb light. It is a low light plant so it's not getting droopy, that's just how it lives! And for the ZZ plant, honestly those almost never need water. I water mine like every month and it's in terra cotta so super breathable pot. They also don't need much light.
Hey Kennedy, I found your videos while recovering from career burnout and a breakup, and I just wanted to say having you on in the background has been bringing me so much comfort! Love from the UK xx
If there’s brown leaves at the bottom of the plant and new growth at the top, that means it’s getting rid of older leaves to use the energy to grow new ones
Love the video. DON'T water the ZZ plant as often as the others. It can go a loooong time without water. A good tip is to stick your finger in the soil to make sure it's dry before watering!
I just want to say a heartfelt thank you. I have been sick these past few days, but your video motivated me to get out of bed and take some small steps in decluttering my room. Please make more of these videos they are so motivating :)
I love organization and decluttering videos! My household is sick right now so this has been perfect to watch while drinking tea and having soup. I'm wondering if a makeup palette organizer might help with your cases.
Gotta say, your content has been such a light in the storm for me lately. Thank you for the lil moment at the end about normalizing lower-energy seasons of life! I’m in one of those right now, & it makes all the difference to hear people normalize that 💛 Lovely video, sending hugs!
For nighttime skincare: maybe try adding a micell water cleanse after the face wipe with a cotton pad? It would help benefit getting your skin more clean from the days makeup/sunscreen. Otherwise, do what works for you! Something is def better than nothing
Exactly what I needed to motivate me to organize my stuff ! There's just something about your vlogs, they're very comforting and inspiring. I love the Stardew, Animal Crossing and Cult of the lamb soundtracks for this episode.
The rattlesnake calathea is probably drooping because it’s thirsty! In general for your plants to thrive I would recommend taking the nursery pots out of the cover pots and letting water run through the nursery pot in either the sink or tub. Only put back in the cover pot once the nursery pot has drained completely (like 20 mins). Watering directly in the cover pot can cause water to settle in a puddle at the bottom leading to root rot. Water whenever the top couple inches of soil are dry - probably about every other week
Thank you for this video, and what you said at the end about doing what you can do. I am currently sitting in my trash heap of a room, because I’m going through some burnout… which means I’ve had almost no energy to do anything. Watching this has inspired me to take the boxes that have been in here outside. I might add another task once I get going (probably laundry), but if I don’t, at least the boxes are out. Thank you so much for this video bestie 💚💚💚
Ok, you just solved one of my (granted very small, but important to me) issues I've been having! Lots of spicy brain over here and I've been trying really hard to dial in my habits, and skin care is something I've struggled with for literally years. Once i'm in bed and realize I forgot to do it...AGAIN..I just say meh whatever. But I just made a note to get a little basket to keep it by my bed! GENIUS!!!! Thank you!
The bedside skin care routine is genius! Implemented it in my room and I have not missed a morning/night yet and that’s never happened before. I usually start a routine strong but then quickly fade out. This has been a game changer! Thanks for sharing!
I use those tiny acrylic drawer organizers to further organize my junk drawer like items. Love them for storing batteries, first aid kits, cords/chargers and other smaller items that would normally get just thrown in one drawe
yesss i love these kinda vids cause i play with in the background whenever im cleaning, dilly dallying, or doing my makeup. its just so calming to me hehe
The Rattlesnake Plant (the one with the dark stripes) does better with less watering -- let the soil dry out heteeen waterings. Also, it does fine in low light. The leaves move during the day, so they are supposed to be perky part of the day and droopy others! They are part of the prayer plant family, and thoae guys are known for their "dancing" leaves. So don't worry if she looks droopy sonetimes, she's supposed to! From the bit we see in the video, she looks happy and healthy to me!
i've had the opposite experience with my calatheas - the moment they get even a little dry, the instantly die. idk if it has to do with climate - i live in the desert so it's super dry where i am
@@MilesToGoGo Interesting. I was told to let them dry between waterings out and not over water them, and I have had great luck with mine watering once a week for a year now! The only time I've killed one was due to over watering. But, we get pretty even temperatures here in the Bay Area, so that might help
It’s a hard life when you’re a person who loves having stuff around the house and showcasing personality in your styling, but is also messy lol Been battling myself my whole adult life with this problem. Love decluttering and organizing though it’s very therapeutic 🌺
here for the bedside skincare routine. i felt so seen when you said you were the sleepiest girl ever and it was either skincare or sleep and sleep always wins. THIS IS ME TOO! thanks for the great idea. 🫶🏼
Ooooh I love the skincare bedside setup! That’s so smart! I get the same feeling about making minor adjustments to how something “should” be and making it work for you, so simple yet can be such a game changer! Micellar water came to mind instead of makeup wipes cause that’s what I see all the makeup girlies using. Also vanlifers/campers may have some cool tricks for this too since they don’t always have access to water.
Hi Ken!! I love watching your vlogs and this one is definitely one I'll come back to in the future for when I'm cleaning and organizing! 🩷 I only saw it for a second but the little mini mat/rug you have under your switch dock on your desk is so adorable!! 1:04:07 I hope you are doing well and remember to rest and relax after a long day! 😁
I really appreciate this vlog. I love all your content, especially the cozy hobbies but it sometimes feels so unattainable for me to achieve the same aesthetic and feeling since I work full time so it was so lovely to see the other side of your life. The jam packed random drawers we all have, cleaning out the hairs clogging the hoover, cleaning up after pets. Made me realise youre still a normal person like us, putting off the icky or tedious tasks, showing only the fun parts of life. I just really needed to watch this today!
Was (with full intention) gonna binge re-watch some of my faves of your cleaning, organising and reset type vlogs today and then I saw you dropped this new gem with all the vibes... Which will be rewatched many times! 💜💜🤎✨+ thank you for sharing where you got the cute bread sweatshirt ❤️... will be heading straight to mualcaina when she is back 😍
1:06:00 thank you for saying that😢❤ sometimes i feel just so lazy for not being able to finish my to do list or for not cleaning enough, and i end up feeling pretty bad about it. So thank you for saying that and for making these (in my opinion) comfort videos, they help me relax or i turn your videos on when i am doing something myself as background noise❤
feeling grateful that your preparation and luck met for this channel to exist and reach my humble screen! I love the space you've created and that we get to be here
I found another video of yours randomly in the past few days and I've never been happier, your videos are so much fun, it feels like I'm just sitting and chatting with a friend. Thank you for your videos and all the work you do to create them! You 100% have a new sub 🤗
Bedside skin care routine is a great idea. 😮I love what you said about finding what works for you and not worrying about how other people do it. I’ve only recently come to this conclusion myself.
I'm non-binary but still an ADHD ✨ girlie ✨. I am so guilty of not making accommodations for myself because I managed to do the thing one time. I need food delivery, too! I have support needs but deep down somehow don't think I deserve them. Thanks for this video ❤
Yes ~ I use those laundry sheets also....fyi ~ you can tear those sheets in pieces and place them in the laundry soap dispenser part. It works great!!! 💜
This video really helped me clean my room! I had a whole lot of stuff and hardly any where to put it, and for a long time its made me feel so heavy. Now I have hardly anything on the floor and instead in their rightful place. Thank you so much❤
We've had to do a HUGE decluttering in our house. We had sooo much stuff we bought for no reason that we don't want anymore. It's so nice to be back to a more cozy minimalist house 💕
Kennedy girl you've influenced me 😂 When I started watching your content I was a bit confused by your love of brown bc it's just a colour I never really went for in clothes and decor - and now I'm slowly transitioning from black being my go-to neutral in clothes to brown, haha. I was a fool, I was blind and you opened my eyes.
Needed both cozy vibes and work vibes for this slow Monday morning so this was the perfect video. I'm def a shove packer but using compression travel bags has been a total game changer for me lately!
One thing I learned recently about watering plants is not to use cold water. It can cause shock and damage to the plants, so try to use room temp water whenever possible!
i liveee for these cozy/motivating vlogs♡ also as an avid sjm fan your points abt silver flames are so true--you can see the same patterns in her crescent city books too like the more mainstream she's gotten the more rushed her writing feels. thats why i just read throne of glass over and over lol
Watching your videos is literally like doing something fun with a friend! It's so crazy that we're reading the same book too. The Bride. I can't seem to finish it though but I love it so far!!
The plant at 15:50 is a ZZ plant and doesn't need to be watered very often. Depending on how much sun it gets, I'd maybe water that once every few weeks to once a month. The one at 16:05 is a Dieffenbachia (some people call it dumb cane) and it likes more water! The most helpful suggestion I can give you for that one is to pick up the nursery pot inside the decorative pot and plop the whole thing in a bucket or sink with a few inches of water in it once every week or two, then let it drain and put it back in the white pot. They really like to be bottom-watered! I'm super late so you probably already got these answers but maybe my comment will help someone else :)
that droopy plant is a calathea! She is perfectly fine, the leaves are very healthy. They're called prayer plants because during the day, they droop and absorb as much sunlight as possible, and during the night time their leaves turn upward and even curl up sometimes to preserve moisture. Totally normal, she may want to be watered a little more often if you live in a dry climate, she likes humidity.
Exactly what I need!! I put most of my clothes on the floor bc I wanna reorganize some stuff but I'm too lazy to actually do it and tidy up lol. This is perfect motivation.
I went through a pretty bad break up this year and slowly the chaos of piles of clothes, dishes, and trash has been building up in my tiny apartment. Every day I wake up and immediately put my head phones on to try to escape the reality I faced which was my home. I dreaded coming home to, what once was my sanctuary of peace. The bulk of my mess is clothes. I’ve spent over half of my life dealing with the chaos that is my wardrobe. aka. Piles of clothes just everywhere. I have had an op shopping addiction for the last 5 years so that hasn’t helped. It’s gotten so bad I started asking god for help 😂. Yesterday he answered my prayers and I found the energy to sort my clothes into piles to donate, throw away, and keep. I’ve now cut down my wardrobe and have washed and donated 80% of the clothes. I finally have a dressers worth of clothes. I hope I can maintain a routine of putting them away and keeping up with my laundry by the time I hit 30 this year. I’ve struggled with the tasks of cleaning, specifically laundry and dishes, my entire life. I get overwhelmed by noises and clutter so I’d often resort to just stay in bed and escape through social media and Netflix. I like what you said about not doing something the way everyone else does. Who wrote the book of cleaning and organising your life anyways? We’re all so uniquely different. I will be moving my toothbrush to my bed along with some other things that I’ve been ignoring. I think I got used to living in chaos from a young age but as I get older and wiser I realise I don’t HAVE TO live like that. Just because you come from a burning home doesn’t mean the world is on fire…. (Even though it is..)… Nonetheless, I listened to this video in its entirety and I’m resting after spending an hour throwing away expired antidepressants and various “what if” bottles of girly things. It was quite poetic seeing how far I’ve come based on the things I no longer depend on to survive another day in this world. I’m doing just fine. Thank you.
Reallyenjoyed your music and wztching you organized: Im a Grandma and think about the wzy I was and wgat made me happiest in the day tjen and how I can made the now more meaningful happier and engerized! 71 feel great but life has really changed. Have a husbans and raising a grandson who is 8 now got him at age 2. 😊 Blessings always !
i've never seen a video of yours but you are a genius for creating something like this! It helped me stay motivated while i was cleaning out my closet and building furniture, so THANK YOU!
♥️ My first time catching your channel. Chose it for MOTIVATION💪🏽 Because of the length and ideas for organizing. Time for more storage. In the meantime I am trying to figure out where to put things to have home.
plant lady here!! your ZZ plant thrives off of neglect! i water mine once a month(honestly every other month lbr) and she's just fine. they're good with low light, and low light means you need to water less frequently :>
this! a ZZ plant really likes to dry out, so I typically bottom water for about 10 minutes, once a week. i would also just go ahead and pluck those yellow leaves; they could recover but you'll actually get more new growth if you just pluck them and let the plant focus on new leaves.
Use your coffee grinds and put them in the plant a good fertilizer. A good plan to have that I took from a twig and now it’s huge and it’s gorgeous is a jade plant and they look great there a succulent.

Micellar water for the nightime removal, I drench my cotton pads with it and it gets off so much more than makeup remover wipes.

I love how you spoke on functional over aesthetic for things! I’m the same way if I don’t see it I will forget it’s there
This channel brings me soooo much joy!!!
We are being fed with this content. Thank you!
Omg I’m in LOVE with the lounge set you wore in this video!
(Even though it is..)…
Nonetheless, I listened to this video in its entirety and I’m resting after spending an hour throwing away expired antidepressants and various “what if” bottles of girly things. It was quite poetic seeing how far I’ve come based on the things I no longer depend on to survive another day in this world. I’m doing just fine.
Thank you.
"don't pee on it" 2:40 is the most cat-mom thing someone can say 😂😂

not an original idea but i’m so glad!! will def do more!!
♥️ My first time catching your channel. Chose it for MOTIVATION💪🏽 Because of the length and ideas for organizing. Time for more storage. In the meantime I am trying to figure out where to put things to have home.
I love cleaning and organizing videos! They're highly motivating. And love the cozy vibes at the same time :)
This was so helpful in me getting my cleaning done today 🥹❤
I’m like obsessed with you girl!!!!!
i use the lil baby clear containers for hair ties, scrunchies, essential oils, that kinda stuff!
plant lady here!! your ZZ plant thrives off of neglect! i water mine once a month(honestly every other month lbr) and she's just fine. they're good with low light, and low light means you need to water less frequently :>
it's true!! i gotta remind myself to leave her alone 😂🌿
this! a ZZ plant really likes to dry out, so I typically bottom water for about 10 minutes, once a week.
i would also just go ahead and pluck those yellow leaves; they could recover but you'll actually get more new growth if you just pluck them and let the plant focus on new leaves.
Use your coffee grinds and put them in the plant a good fertilizer. A good plan to have that I took from a twig and now it’s huge and it’s gorgeous is a jade plant and they look great there a succulent.
So excited to watch all the recent uploads on my lazy day tomorrow afternoon!!
For the pink plant. I water it once a week. I have two of them. When some leaves die, I get a bunch of new ones to replace them 🌸
One a week🫡 Will do!!
You have the prettiest hair I’ve ever seen ❤
