Hi Guys,
I've spoken about Jaeger LeCoultre watches a few times, but I haven't managed to make that many videos about them. I was given the opportunity to get hands-on with Jaeger LeCoultre's new limited-edition Polaris Date with an incredible blue dial.

This watch has an amazing looking dial! It’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing Adrian.
Blue works so well on watches and this blue is stunning.
That blue, multi-textured dial is INCREDIBLE!!!
So glad that you covered this watch. I have the polaris blue dial with brown leather strap.
I love compressor style dive watches with internal rotating bezels. Stunning
Beautiful! I never get tired of blue faced watches.
Sharp looking dial! Looking forward to your visit to the manufacture.
Gorgeous... JLC is criminally underrated, imo. Should be considered a "Trinity" brand.
Trinity brand....? I don't think so. Just because they have a couple of expensive pieces doesn't make them up there.
Agree. Have made movements for some of those trinity watches!
Hehe try buying one and having a problem/ service issue .. you course them
Vacheron and AP are a joke compared to journe lange or any other good watchmaker
actually nr 1 brand
These have hit the AD's. Saw one at WoS and it was a lot nicer than I expected.
Enjoyed the review. Keep up the good work. Picked one of these up last month. Very pleased with it thus far. The dial is amazing. 👍
I have a real soft spot for the JLC Polaris and Master Control. This is a gorgeous watch. So many watches, so little truly disposable income to keep buying them 😂. Great video Adrian.
I have handled the black non-limited edition, and it is amazing in the metal. The dial on the LE is exceptional I'm n photos, bet even better when you see it firsthand. Great review!
I know this is an old video, but that dial is gorgeous. I simply love what they have done with two contrasting gradients. Brilliant. Going on chrono now to check what they are going for today (if I can find any) :)
For me JLC and GS are favourites. I am looking to get myself a spring drive
Stunning the cream indices really work...
It's amazing. It's my dream watch right now, the chronograph one with black dial and leather straps. I wish I could get one so bad.
Nice looking watch. And I love that you’re wearing a Wrangler shirt.
I had the boutique only Polaris Memovox on my wrist a year and a half ago. It was absolutely brilliant. I ended up with a JC DSSD instead. I’m still looking for my first JLC. The wife has a Reverso that I love to wind for her. Excellent vid mate...
Beautiful JLC, love the textured dial.
That dial is all time great! Perfection!
Absolutely beautiful watch!!
Maybe this is not the thing many viewers care about, but your pronunciation is so clear!
It's so easy to understand even though English isnt my mother tongue. Subscribed :D
Thanks very much buddy. 👍🏻
Someone born in June 1995 might want watch 695.
Another great video.
That thing is crazy good! Love it
Nice watch Adrian. Thanks for the review.
I agree the blue dial is very cool!
LOVE The colour of that dial!
Absolutely love the look of this one!
The most underrated watch brand with the most in-house movements, thanks
The Polaris line grows on you the more you look at it and this is the best yet! I also wish they had skipped the extra depth rating in favor of a clear case back on this one.
That is a knock out! Hard to beat!
Strikingly beautiful time piece
Love the video, gr8watch and good review how did u get the tour at jlc manufacture ? I would like to go as well at some point... Any tips?
Oh wow gorgeous watch
And nice sweatshirt - bought the same myself 2 months ago
👍
Gorgeous watch ! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks so much for watching mate.
Thanks for the vid! I think the subject of faux patina is worth discussing. I personally don't care if others complain about it - I have yet to see a faux patina that I didn't think looked awesome. I kind of feel that someone, somewhere, complained about it and suddenly it was a bad thing. It's not "faux", it's simply a great color option.
Was looking at the black dial version in Harrods this week. Lovely size and looks the money.
Gorgeous watch
Amazing looking watch
Gorgeous watch. Cracking video. JLC should pay you for this.
Just bought one, absolutely stunning piece. When I saw one of 800 on the back, first thought was can't be the 1 of 800 and was told so.
To months later, how is it? I'm enamoured by it.
I’d love to have that exact piece with that exact strap. Dear god it is beautiful
WOW !!!! Would still choose the Reverso you recently reviewed though 😉
That dial is magnificent.
Looks stunning
Gorgeous watch!
I tried one on a couple weeks ago and thought, “Only $8300?!” It looks so stunning on the wrist! Wish so bad I could have bought it.
Laer Pearce I wasn’t too sure about the look of it when I saw the videos and images of it but then I tried it on at a dealer. Initially I didn’t get an emotional connection with it but after around 10 minutes wearing it I didn’t want to take it off. It’s an absolutely beautiful watch and I knew that I would regret it had I not purchased it there and then (given it’s limited to 800 pieces I wouldn’t get the chance again) so I did. It is an amazing piece of art and technology.
Thx for review. That is a big watch.
Would be great if you could do a segment on the JLC Atmos clock on your visit in December! It's such a special piece in horological history and something I believe more watch enthusiasts would adore if they more about the (almost) perpetual motion machine. Thanks
Beautiful piece 😀😍😎👍🏼
Love it! How do you like the green dial ?
Great video, cheers
I ordered the slate black dial but returned it as it seems the date wheel is off center a bit. Found the same problem with a second one so just returned it.
Adrian, do you know if I can buy a bracelet from JLC to add to this watch ? The websites are vague and I love having both options.
Jonathan
This watch makes me want to learn French....a stunning piece. I think the rubber strap suits the sporty theme better than leather but you can always buy an aftermarket leather strap to increase its versatility.
Love the channel
I'm not a massive fan of blue dials (I know this is against the norm). That said, this is phenomenal!! A thing of beauty.
Do you know if this dial is the same as the newer Polaris date Mariner? To me, this one looks like a lighter blue
i still can not comprehend why all the brands which are so proud of their remarkable finishing do not incorporate a visible/ glass back so the owner can enjoy watching this masterpiece from both ends and not just the sheer beauty of the case and finish. Above certain price it should be a must. The excuse of deep dive resistance are no excuse in the 21st century’s so does the fear from fakes, as they forger can open the case anyway.
I disagree. I like my movments closed. Unless it's something very beautiful like a lange, journe, Moser, or some chronographs from patek ( even patek has ugly small movments that I would rather not see) .. you know how you watch porn and then the guy just open her asshole and you see inside of her organs ? Same goes here.
@Sergey Zerkin
Duke, what a classy metaphor.
I completely agree, especially if a brand boasts of hand finishing.
@@sergeyzerkin8029 good thing a watch is literally nothing like an asshole....
Sergey Zerkin i guess you never check under the hood of your merc as well for the same reason nor open a book cause the description on the back says it all...
I am actually saving my money to hopefully buy an IWC next year but this JLC is tempting... A JLC Boutique near where I live happened to have 1 of the watch and I have been weighing very heavily if I should take the opportunity...
I love the blue dial Polaris. Agree the power reserve is low. And that with such a lovely movement it should have a sapphire caseback.
Hey Adrian…Great vid again, exceptional quality. :)
Wondered if you’re going to do a review of the re-issued 806 1959?
I’d also be interested if you knew where I could get a nice either vintage 22mm beads of rice bracelet of a shark mesh for the 806.
Do you consider an Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 50th anniversary a investment watch?
Surely if it's an every day watch the 36hour power reverse vs 70h is largely redundant. Appreciate people may switch on weekends. Personally if its truly everyday then I'd rather have a beautiful movement to admire
I am in love with the blue dial Polaris no date. It is magical. WIll be my ten-year wedding anniversary watch.
Agree-the quality of JLC is off the charts amazing.
I bought it yesterday. It’s an amazing watch. The video doesn’t do it justice.
Viallineo Awesome. Congrats.
Stunning.
I agree JLC is underrated, which is why they are a great watches to buy used :)
It’s a pretty piece but when I think of JLC I’m thinking MUT Moon or Reverso. Interesting size. I passed on both the silver and black variants of the MM in the past as 39mm just seemed 1mm too small on me yes, 1mm makes a massive difference in diameter and dial real estate. Bit like the Tudor 58. Cool but dainty. May give this size a try on as I’m a 40-45mm guy. As you say, incredibly made but prices are soft. Perhaps secondary is the way to go.
The updated Polaris date in black and the limited green variant is updated. 899AB with 70 hour PR and quick strap change system.
Beautiful watch. 👍
Can u make a video / comparison with the Zenith Defy classic? I think this watch has been understimated
Beautiful!🌞🤩
Does anyone know the distribution numbers of this watch, out of the 800 how many came to the U.K. and how many went to other country’s.
Glad you're back in london and give JLC some screen time!
I fully agree that the polaris has by far a better than a submariner. I own both and the polaris is so simple and under the radar that it has become my daily go to one.
Yeah, love it.
The crowns aren’t screw down though so how robust is it really?
A watch i'd probably consider. Still prefer the Master Control though.
Many brands are launching this kind of H Moser & Cie dials in the last months, don't you think Adrian? Glashutte for example
This I stunning. I need it.
I really like that dial. I dont think we have any JLC dealers in northern ireland which is a pitty coz i'd love to try this on
Love the video and channel! I’m very traditional when it comes to watch styles so even though I like the watch I’d never buy it. Can you do a video on the pro’s and con’s of being a traditionalist, as far as styles, in the current watch market?
Excellent video. Absolutely gorgeous watch.
Stunner!
1:28 - 1:45 I can't get it out of my head such a perfect pairing for the video. Adrian, may I ask what band that is from or who makes that song? Perfect for driving the sports car around!
Was the t-shirt a shout-out to Clyve? Great vid, thank you Adrian
Very nice!
Is it has alarm?
I was all on board until I saw they covered up the movement. Why not have a clear case back?
Unfortunately, the white date disk spoils it.
@@alienhatz3265 Yes, I do have the same issue with the Nautilus. The Nautilus is far from being an aesthetically perfect watch! I wish JLC would have done better with respect to the date disk and date window in their Polaris.
Joseph Knecht I would like to see JLC get rid of the date altogether.
The date is the same color as the standard black dial version, but I agree, the disc here is actually worse because of the color transitions
I actually like the date. It changes with an authoritative clunk and the date numbers and bold and confident. It’s better than some other date windows that appear to be cut out and just there without being part of the aesthetics of the watch.
Beautiful watch.....hope someone takes care of theirs because it just might be mine one day 😀
I’m taking care of mine and would like to be able to sell it to someone so that they too can enjoy it.
Great stuff! Currently thinking about getting my first sort of higher-end watch. Thinking about Black bay vs a Speedy moon professional. The bb has my heart but the Speedy has my mind. Which would you get?
Speedy all day
I had the chance to buy this, got sick and missed it. Pretty much the only watch that’s escaped me that I wished I’d gotten 😭 the standard Polaris divers go for a bargain on the second hand market
Absolutely love this watch. I wish I could afford one. I wouldn't care what number.
I have the black version. But I was lucky to visit JLC and saw the Blue against my black. The blue is stunning but I think the black has more heritage.
I got the black too. I think the black will age better and it's simple more versatile.
@@alienhatz3265 I think he means the original was only available in a black dial.
Seen as JLC on make about 55-65,000 watches a year and there main collections are the reverso and master. There are going to be hardly millions of Polaris dates about are they?
I feel so lucky to be able to own a JLC.
I like it!
The supercompressor is a touchstone style. (All dual crown)
I still prefer Longines legend diver.
...or perhaps, the homage of it, the Helson hammerhead. I guess it's the price tag.
Man, I just love the low-end stuff.
I would offer 20% off any JLC
Polaris or walk. This model has. not met expectations since dropping the Master Compressor line
has that jumper become one of your favourite jumpers to wear? I saw you in it in your last video
I like the watch. I prefer the black dial however. I have tried one on a couple of times and have considered it as a new addition to accompany my 2008 white dial Rolex Explorer 2. I love the Memovox, the concept of having a mechanical alarm function. At $20,000 Aus dollars however its out of my league.
