    The CSC TT250 is a Chinese enduro bike that I owned for a little over a year, and subjected it to some ruthless dual sport torture. How did it fare? What is my opinion of the little TT250 after all this time? You'll have to watch to find out!
    This is a video that I have been wanting to make for a while now. The TT250 in many ways was a project for me to test and see just how much abuse it could handle. While it fared better than I ever thought it would, it did have some glaring issues that I discuss in detail throughout this video. I hope that this video helps inform anyone who either is thinking about purchasing this bike, or anyone who owns one and is wondering what it's true capabilities are.
    As always, thank you SO MUCH for watching! Don't forget to "like", "subscribe" and "share" if you enjoyed the video, and let me know what you think down in the comments. See you guys next time!

      @@clothedandcompetent3452 To each their own. Keep in mind that this is a 2016 model, so some of the criticisms I mentioned in this video have been addressed by CSC over the years. Regardless, it’s still a great bike at a great price for people who aren’t looking to go fast or ride gnarly trails.

Longtime biker here, but recently been wanting to get into adv biking with a group of local bikers but I didnt want to start with anything too expensive until i get some offroad miles under my belt. I still wanted something simple, reliable and fun for riding mostly fire trails and packed dirt roads and bcuz of your channel I am now looking at the 2018 model from CSC. But I may hold off until I hear more about the 2019 model. Keep up the great work. Ride safe, ppls.

    Nice! I've owned Pentons, a KTM, and a pack of Hondas, but I have to say that the one bike that I had the most fun with was a '74 XL125. Not a power monster but the fun factor was huge, so I gotta say this CSC is a pretty sweet deal. Yep, perhaps the quality may not be on par with the older names, but Japan better watch out because like Musical instruments, China has a really fast learning curve.

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah I think the fun factor is really the key. When I bought it, I really didn't expect much. I just wanted it to take me across town and that was about it. Once I started riding it in places where I would ride my CRF250L... it just got even more fun. The quality was not on par with the CRF... but I would say it was about 75% of the quality but at 40% the cost. Not bad in my opinion!

      It is honestly perfect for that type of riding. I didn't find a brake lever that fit but I am sure something could be fabricated if needed... everything else is pretty easy to replace though and there is a ton of information over on ChinaRiders.net from people that either have this or the Hawk 250 which is very similar. Great review! Mine is still plugging along and is nearing 17K miles. I haven't had the chance to do much off road riding but as a commuter it is great. I have geared mine for more street riding and it has handled everything I have asked it to do including a few 120+ mile trips. It is a bit rusty and the seat cover is is wearing through but mechanically it is great. If I ever do more off road I will more than likely swap it for a DRZ 400 or an XR 650L but for now it's suiting my needs pretty well.

      @EachAdventure  6 лет назад

Rather than rebuild that engine I replaced it with a Lifan CG 230 which currently doesn't want to run for more than 10 minutes which I suspect is an igniter failure. I haven't really had time to dig into it so it is currently sitting waiting for me to swap the stator/igniter assembly from the old engine to get it back on the road. When I do get it back on the road it will be used primarily as a light trail bike.

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  4 года назад +1

      I really want to see the CSC 450 as well, although I know people who have ridden the Himalayan and others that have ridden the CSC RX4, and the RX4 is a completely different beast than the Himalayan. The Himalayan is more mellow with its power delivery and designed for maximum efficiency/reliability at around 25 HP. The RX4 has a claimed HP of around 40... that's a huge difference! I think the RX3 would be a more fair comparison even though it's only a 250 the HP rating is about the same as the Himalayan.

    A great review! Due to some unexpected medical bills recently,I've sold my XR250L (to a Nascar Camping World race truck driver no less :o ) and have Ruby (my CRF250L) on CL as we speak,and it may be a while before I can get back onto a dual sport (of course one could always find deals on decent used bikes,like I did when I found that '91 XR250L,but in my region they're rare to find and sellers want new bike prices for their worn out rides,LOL), but the TT and RX3 are definitely on (and near the top of) my short list. Been watching and keeping up with CSC for a few years now (and as I'd said before,I was actually saving to pay cash for a new RX3 when I came across a real deal on my leftover 2016 CRF250L bought new last April).
    So anyways,I won't be riding (or motovlogging like I'd planned) for a while (probably until next year),but I'll stay subbed and follow along with your adventure,my friend. As for my channel (which never really had time to get going before my camera blew off my helmet and this medical bill thing coming up)...there are other adventures to enjoy that aren't moto-related...and I picked up a new GoPro recently :p ...so it will eventually get going,LOL! CSC's cafe racer and the TT250 share the same engine. They are clones of the Honda CG motor which has a reputation for reliability and low maintenance. I never had any engine issues with mine, and I only know of one other owner that had an engine issue on one of the CSC owners Facebook groups. Hope it helps!

      @EachAdventure  5 лет назад +1

      Mine was a 2016 also. Here is a link to the rear sprocket that fits the TT250: amzn.to/2JkjRbr
      They make them in a bunch of different sizes, but you need to use a couple washers as spacers to account for the stock sprocket offset. CSC sells the spacers for a couple dollars. For the chain, you can just buy a longer linked chain and use a chain breaker to cut it down to size (2 links at a time). Good luck!

    • @masterwu1162
      @masterwu1162 4 года назад +1

      Hi Buddy 428 chain is really to small for that bike it really should be equipped from the factory with a 520 size chain 428 will stretch faster than a gorgeous prostitute unless you get quality o ring chains but they will be pricey. If you plan on doing lots of trails and offroad work with your TT put the best chain your budget will allow. You will thank me later when your riding buddys are all adjusting there crappy cheap chains and wearing out there sprockets and you hardly touch yours except for the occasional clean and lube.Ride safe

    What psi do you pump this bikes tires exactly like this one and how does it hande the rain

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  2 года назад

      The manual specifies somewhere in the 30's for PSI, but that is way too high for anything other than riding on the road. For true dual-sport stuff, I would run around 20 when jumping between on and off-road. It handles just fine in the rain, but that is largely dependent on tires (stock tires are decent) and your personal riding skill.

      It’s a pretty niche bike, so that’s likely why there aren’t a lot of used ones for sale.

    Along with your suggestion, first thing to upgrade headlight bulb should add the chain. I don't know what chain CSC has but the other chinese bikes have very cheap chains. A weak link can Kill you. Not sayin but just sayin.

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  3 года назад

      That's actually a good suggestion! The stock chain wasn't that great, and I had replaced it with another chain that wasn't all that great either. That is actually one of the things that I had mentioned that I had issues with in this video, but looking back I think a heavy duty 428 MX chain would have solved the issue.

    That's called cupping on the front tire. That happens on SUVs when you don't rotate your tire's.

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  2 года назад

      That's interesting! I've never seen that on a dual sport motorcycle tire before.

      @@EachAdventure oh yeah.. if it's out of balance or the front is loose for some reason.. my rear tire on my crotch rocket would wear real funny by the end of a season from lack of hard cornering believe it or not.

    Nice bike Please launch it in India

      @EachAdventure  4 года назад

      The bike is made by Zongshen (with CSC specifications) but I would think there would be a similar bike available in India. I would check out Chinariders.net to see if anyone in that area has something similar.

    230 or 250?

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  5 лет назад

      It's 229cc but marketed as a 250... most manufacturers fudge the numbers a little bit to make them fall within the standards (250, 400, 450, 500, etc) It's a lot of fun though for being such a small engine!

    Top speed?

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  4 года назад +1

      Stock gearing the top speed is around 65. Drop a few teeth in the rear sprocket and it will get up around 70ish. Comfortable cruising speed is probably 5-10 mph less though.

    My Kawasaki KLX250Sf has only 15 hp...so 16 hp would be an upgrade...

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  4 года назад

      Hahah! It doesn't feel like only 16 horsepower, the engine is super torquey and you can definitely feel it with the stock gearing. Going down a few teeth on the rear sprocket really changes the feeling of the bike and makes it a bit more well rounded. Thanks for watching!

    The factory chains are trash... get a o-ring chain. Or just a better quality standard chain.

    • @EachAdventure
      @EachAdventure  5 лет назад

      I had upgraded the chain but I don't know if the quality was all that great. If I ever get my hands on another one I'll try an o-ring chain.
