I don't usually agree with you on a few issues but 100% with you on this. I don't think I can ever forgive the makers for portraying Hanumanji in such an unimaginative way. I can't believe they spend 700 Crore for this! I think they thought because its Ramayan and it has Prabhas in it people would make it a big hit irrespective of the effort they put in! I don't think I'll be watching this.
Even the gateup and face of Lord Ram is not like described in Valmiki Ramayana

I have noticed some points from the trailer that not even found in either Valmiki Ramayana or Tulsidas Ramcharotomanas. Though we should consider Valmiki Ramayana as History not any other>
* Laxmanrekha is not mentioned in both versions
* Mata Shabri was a yogi not any so-called Shudra
* Shree Ram, Mata Sita, and Laxmanji used to live in a hut not any cave
*The Bridge was a marvel for that time and there was a method to build that known to Nil and Nal the descendant of great Vishakarmaji. They did not build the bridge with some floating rocks
*It seems from the trailer that only Laxmanji was hurt by nagpas but in Valmiki Ramayana, both Shree Ram and Laxman got hurt and fainted
*In Valmiki Ramayana Hanuman ji didn't enlarge his body in front of Mata Sita but he was on the tree and later landed on the ground and spoke to Mata Sita
Looks like they took Ramayana reference from movies and series ... Ignoring the original texts
Adipurush is based on children's Ramayan
They are just trying to change our history and make us believe in different story, they just want us to believe the fake scientific thing which is shown in movie but actual scientific things they made them hidden.
Add few more points -
1. In Valmiki Ramayana, lord Ram had beard and moustache and he wore only saffron jute clothes (read in Ayodhya kand, sarg 37, Valmiki Ramayana) and wooden slippers (khadau).
2. Lord Ram was angry only in 3 events in Valmiki Ramayana.
3. The dialogue given to Lord Ram is not correct as per Valmiki Ramayana. Like in trailer, they showed Lord Ram saying -" mere liye lado jisse history mein naam ho". In Valmiki Ramayana, lord Ram never said anything like that. After becoming friend with Sugriv, army of Sugriv fought for Lord Ram against adharm.
4. In Valmiki Ramayana, Lord Hanuman while meeting lord Ram was happy. But in trailer, he is shown as sad.
5. In trailer, the gateup of lord Hanuman is not correct as per Valmiki Ramayana. In Valmiki Ramayana, he is always energetic, enthusiastic, not sad.
+Lakshman Rekha was not there but it's look good though in tv movies😅.
+ Are u sure there are no cave? I think in valmiki Ramayana In Panchavati when when SrUparekha brother Came back to revenge of her sister lord Ram order Lakahmn to take Sita inside a cave nearby !!
+ Bridge scene may be to convince today's people😅 With so called science.
+ Are u sure Hanuman didn't enlarge his body ? I don't think so please revisit Valmiki Ramayana . When Hanuman offered Sita to carry her back and travel the entire ocean Sita mata was shocked because she at that point don't know the power of Hanumam . That's why Hanuman enlarged his body to convince Sita. Sita appreciate his power but refuse because she can't resist the wind during travel with Super speed flyer Hanuman and other reason mentioned .
We all know about Ramayana, have watched various versions of it, so the plot and storyline aspect of "Adipurush" is absolutely no surprise! Only thing Om Raut and his team have in their hands is the way they execute their imagination and creativity associated with the epic!
Ramanand Sagar ji's vision of Ramayana, Yugo Sako's vision behind anime version "The legend of Prince Rama" is still unmatched and unparalleled!
Sir , om raut said he was inspired by ramayana the legend of Prince rama if he really copy that movie from costume to character design it would good. Om raut really missed a chance 😢 . What is my fear that if adipurush get failed then in future if someone made movie inspired by hindu scriptures then leftists media will target that movie in name of adipurush by publishing article on title that "making movie on Indian culture can be risky " . At last jai shree ram 😌.

I can understand your pain Pratik Ji. But as you yourself said, jo hua so hua, Bhool jaaiye. Opposite to our expectations of having faith in the characters and the story, this movie is a commercial grand product made primarily to show grandeur, focussing extensively on VFX and BGM. This is the reason the chose Prabhas because of his grand image and pan-India appeal, rather than choosing an actor who suits the character and body language.
Not sure why the director didn't focus on the emotions, and just scratched the surface like using emojis to convey emotions in chats. Hope the movie would atleast connect better emotionally with the audience, but that's a long shot expectation. One can only expect some attempts at grand VFX and grand scale cinema from this movie, which is just using the story of Ramayan as its base without going into the emotional nuances.
This is one thing that rajamouli Or someone like even nolan does so well. The grandeur is there, but emotional nuances are never compromised
Boss they gotta look at commercial interests too. They can't make a documentary. You yourself won't watch that.

@@MrAnshulji but all three were fictions. None of them were history like Ramayana. That mean the scope of directorial liberties were unlimited. You guys need to understand that you don't need a script writer for Ramayan or Mahabharata. The only thing you can do is make it a visual experiance for people and I believe that even though it's VFX it is more close to what a war would look like compared to the other versions of Ramayana. It will be more realistic in any case. Only issue I see is if VFX is not up to the mark.
They should've shown bharat milap scene and birth of Ram scene.
Also, I can't understand why they are not using Ram, Ramayana and Sita names instead of Raghav, Adipurush and Janaki. It would have better if they would've seen Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana before making this.
Maker's want to brain wash new generation with Modern Ramayan. They don't have guts to make single film on GOD from other religion.

The film starts with Vanvaas and ends with battle of lanka. So large number of characters will not be shown in this film. It should have been named PURUSHOTTAM.
good point. In those days, no woman would call her husband with their name, let alone Maa Sita. I remember in the TV series also, Deepika Chikhaliya Ji would say "mere prabhu" instead of taking name.

one more thing I would like to add. while hanuman was lifting the mountain, he should be projected as huge than that mountain because wherever you saw Hanuman in any poster or in the Ramayan serial they put the logic as to lift the mountain the size the lifter either should be equal or larger than the lifted object. they should think about that otherwise it makes so silly

The trailer is very cleverly editted. Though they have made some good changes, they are hiding all the flaws that were visible in teaser. Prabhas as shree Ram isn't shown to be doing too much movements, Vanar Sena wasn't shown in focus, there are very little action sequences, Raavan isn't completely shown and neither is his Palace or Lanka. Even his "dragon" Vivaan isn't shown. Still I would say the forest sequences look nice, and a touch of CG sparkle and energy looks good.
BullyWood can’t do justice for our ancient culture , civilisation and Sanatan. We are much much much more eager to watch HanuMan and I’m pretty sure it will be one of the big hit!!❤

I really feel sorry for Devdat Nage who got a big chance but directors vission ruined it.
Seriously there was budget and a huge opportunity to make one of the best movies of all time and like RRR this could have conquered the west and asia as well .. they should have built a permanent set for the film investing hugely and the set then in the future could be also used as a tourist destination to relive the world of ramayana where people would know the history of our culture .. that would have been a correct approach to make this epic and self sustainable

Actually , Trailer is far better than previous teaser 💯 but but it lacks the soul & emotion which was needed for epic story like ramayan. Secondly , Casting is terrible prabhas as ram , saif as ravan , kriti as sita aur hanumanji kahin se nhi lag rha 😕

Rajamouli sir should make another movie based on ramayan
The trailer is not so bad as one would have imagined. Its just that our hope is with Prabhas and the level of cinematography that Indian cinema (especially Southern) has showed it is capable of, a next level trilogy or duology on Ramayana should be made. The experience of Ramayana like never before.
Hope so this movie gives us a great watching experience, but the thing is if this movie does not become a once in a decade cinematic experience in terms of gfx, music, filmography, story setup and acting (all of it mix with true devotion and faith) then the team would be destroying a chance for someone another making this movie. The story is the same so one cannot keep on making movies on Ramayana every year.

They tried to westernise the looks of the characters....and that is where the problem lies....
In any case, the standard set up by Ramanand Sagar is extremely extremely hard to reach....His depiction of Ramayan was made with so much of devotion and that you could see and feel in each and every frame even though there was no Vfx, no great special effects....

Yes sir, I totally agree with the review. I also felt the same yesterday after seeing I trailer. So, I didn’t repeat the trailer again which I usually do to know more like introvert person focussing on inner image than external factors. This movie makers thought that they can influence and fool public by giving background chanting or sloganeering of Jai Shri Ram… They seemed to focused more from angle of money making business rather than spending few more pennies on actors non-verbal body languages, traditional Hindu religious costumes, religious symbols. This movie is for blind folded public who gets influenced by PR team of the movie. As per my opinion RRR’s Lord Ram scene of Sir Ram Charan was incredible. Ram Charan sir should have played the role, though Prabhas is also a good actor for other genre or roles…

Remember this is the same actor who played the role of 'Amarendra BAAHUBALI' and was shooting 3 arrows at a time, and now he's just raising a bow and watch the difference between the scenes. Yesss..!!! I completely agree with your points. If there is something good in the entire trailer, it is the music and the song that sound good, but the casting is bad. They should have made Prabhas play Ravana, which might have been better. Prabhas doesn't suit the role of Ram. He is missing the charm in his face. Even Lakshman doesn't fit the role. Sita Maata's acting may be good, but she doesn't look like Sita Maata. Kriti's face looks modern. She doesn't fit the old-fashioned face. Hanuman is the most special character, but they have made him strange too. They should have adorned him with ornaments. Hanuman's tail looks good, but the rest of the character design is very bad. The Hanuman vibe is not coming through. The VFX is also bad. The entire scene is made dark like DC comics. They have used a lot of green screens, but it's not realistic. I don't know where they wasted so much money.
If this movie does well, it won't be because it's a good movie, but because we are connected to our Ramayana, so we will want to watch it. But there were too many expectations, and the trailer has disappointed us.
Ravana has been smartly hidden in the trailer, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that Ravana's look is bad. In the shot with his eyes, if you look closely, you can see a modern haircut above his ears, which means that he is the same Ravana that we saw in the teaser. All the cgi characters shown in the teaser were minimalistic in the trailer... and as teaser had recieved such response those things have been kept in mind in the trailer. But here is the thing, in the film those cgi cannot be avoided. Now let's see what happens

Loved your review Prateek ji. I feel OM Raut ji didn't understand role of Hanuman ji in ramayan that's why the cast and representation of Hanuman ji character is so horrible. In my opinion this is the biggest problem in Adipurish.
Prabhas is better for Ram because the qualities of Shri Ram like calmness in eyes is Prabhas carry in his real Life it's director fault who didn't represent him properly

Trailer lacks the soul of Ramayana.I m not even going to judge or comment on vfx because it already lacks the soul.
1-Shri Ram had a calm ,charming face which seems opposite on the trailer where Shri Ram has been depicted as an angry young man.
2- Shri Laxman was actually aggressive but in movie he seems the most soft one.
3- Lord Hanuman is not even looking Like Lord.
4-Lanka was golden, it was ruled by Raavan but it was the most beautiful place.It was made of gold. But in the trailer the Lanka is looking like a gufa, completely dark.
5-Vaatika where Sita ma was held is also giving horrifying black vibes while it was one of the most beautiful garden of Lanka.
6- The most important thing everyone is lacking the charm in the movie,neither prabhas nor the man who played Hanuman Ji.They all look so dull and upset.
These things must be taken care of which is not possible now,because now Indian Cinema is being watched internationally.The people around the world are going to carry such image of Ramayana.

May be they tried to make 'the jungle book ' kind of potrayal of different animals
They tried to make it more realistic but as you said,it is laying between animation and CGI...
The only thing which we can feel is great Sound design and bgm
Ramayana is epic, the story remains same and great but the story telling should be in focus
There is lack of conviction, gestures and expressions...
They tried to make new age Ramayana but they forgot some major minute details and the soul of Ramayana....
Jaise aapne kaha they really missed the opportunity....

I really liked the trailer of Adipurush. The director has designed such type of costume here because he wants to make Ramayan look like our own history not like mythology. That's why I appreciate him. But the costume design was so bad. Jatayu is shown as an eagle instead of a vulture.Jambvat Ji shown as an American Grizzly bear instead of Indian sloth bear. Banar sena look like African Gurilla sena.

ना राम जी राम लग रहे है, ना लक्ष्मण जी लक्ष्मण लग रहे है, ना माता सीता सीता लग रही है, मुझे 1% भी फील नहीं हो रहा है की मैं रामायण देख रहा हूं। लेकिन आज भी रामानंद जी की रामायण बीच में भी कही से देख लो तो लगता है की प्रभु श्री राम जी के दर्शन हो गए और स्वतः ही जय श्री राम निकल जाता है।
लेकिन इन लोगो ने केवल टाइम पास के अलावा कुछ नही किया है। Trailer के शुरुआत में ही हरि के अवतार प्रभु श्री राम को मानव कह रहे है ये मूर्ख। आज की न्यू जेनरेशन को ये लोग क्या मैसेज देना चाहते है???
