I love maximizing my space, makes it feel bigger :)
The part of cat... nip makes me giggles. Great edible garden.
Thank you :) I have to keep it out of their reach so I bolted it to the wall.
Finally someone on youtube with a realistic size garden which most have now a days
WOW! I love your garden! 😍 Also, your voice is very soothing and nice to listen to. 😊
Thank you so much
Love your garden!! Boy if I had a balcony I would have gone nuts 🌱🌱🌱 this summer. 😂 I grow on my windowsills and a little spot on my fire escape in my NYC apt. Spinach, oregano, 2 miniature tomato variety called Tiny Tim, some lettuces and a variety of basils. I utilize my child protective bars outside my window and attach grow pockets that I sewed w/ zip ties to the bars. This way I can grow more greens on my outside window ledge. I also have a couple medicinal plants like aloe, lemon balm, and some air purifying house plants. Thanks for sharing your garden and great job growing your own food.
"And here I am growing cat" 😂 love the dry humour
Lol I make garden jokes as much as a dad makes dad jokes, can't help it.
Hi. The plant in the hanging basket that you found is known as taro. You can cook the leaves with herbs, coconut milk, ockro and carrots and you could also boil and cook the root. You may need to move it from the basket though.
Hi there! I did and it got HUGE lol. I love its big bouncy leaves.
I LOVE your garden! Just remember that peppers are in fact Perennials!
You can either prune it and put it inside in winter.Let it overwinter outside with cover or a blanket (you’re in California, it will be fine) Or just take it inside on frost days.
This was an excellent video. Pretty girl with s lovely garden. Very inspiring
Thank you for both compliments :)
I can only imagine if you had a much wider space to do gardening, that's a lovely but kool space. I'll be looking for more. God's Blessings
One day hopefully I'll have more space :) Thank you for the good wishes!
Don't know why you were awkward in front of the camera, you're gorgeous and born to be in front of the camera 🙂Beautiful lady with a beautiful garden paradise 👍
Thank you! I guess I am just not used it and I start thinking "do I look dumb?" lol
gorgeous. Another great example that you can grow a big garden on your balcony.
Thank you and yes I am always trying to maximize my space. :)
Ahh an east facing window. How I envy those who live facing the sunrise 🤣 i always have to deal with shades and then hot afternoon aaah
Yea I am pretty fortunate! My neighbor who lives right behind me has to battle the scorch of the sun on her balcony garden.
@RayMondoART I feel you... It's so difficult, but still we can manage... All the best
By Grace I face sunrise. Mu screen porch is full of plants.
I can see full of greens everywhere . 💚 yr content. Its amazing. Keep sharing yr plants.

I love getting a peek at other people’s gardens 🪴 I often watch these videos because I’m unable to garden in mid winter here in Canada haha ❄️ it makes me fell happy getting to see some greenery 😊 Very great video!

Your mini garden shows your hardwork and passion. M from India but really impressed. Good keep it up.
Thank you from Miami lol
This was great! It gives me inspiration to keep growing my own garden 😊
@urbanoko follow me on IG and show me what your growing! I always like to share plant pics
Wow.. you guys have culantro over there as well. Very fascinating. This herb is an important seasoning in my hometown. The far eastern side of India.
My background is Dominican and Cuban and we use culantro often, especially in soups to treat nausea.
Wow I love your garden so beautiful 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much!
Goals for my balcony!!!
Thank you! DM me on IG and I can help you get there! @urbanoko
One of the nicest and most productive balcony gardens I have seen. Great frickin job !
I like how you like dill. All the gardens of my grandmother's generation had lots of dill, which is not only important for pickling, but also for borscht, something you might want to try since you're growing beets as well. 🌻🌸🌺
You know I mostly try to grow plants that are difficult to kill and not edibles... But you've done great work here. Both you and the garden looks amazing. Loved the video. Wishes your way.
Thank you so much! I just got into indoor plants and I'm loving it. If you ever need any tips feel free to DM me on IG @urbanoko.
@@UrbanOko hey that's soo sweet... Thank you... Will be waiting to see the new project 🙂

Enjoy watching different types of gardeninh videos. ❤❤❤ It's so hot in my room during the afternoon because it's a west facing balcony . I grow jasmine sambac aka sampaguita in my language as shade in my balcony to act as a shade. Smells so nice when it blooms. Got tons of aloe vera plant , got rid of my allergies. Got them for 6 years now. I cant wait to grow more varieties of herbs in my rooftop garden this year.
That sounds so cool! Show me your Sambac via IG @urbanoko I want to see :)
Your balcony has roof yet the vegetables grow so well. Welldone
I loved seeing the plants 21 days apart. Your plants seem to be thriving.
So much has changed in so little time! I can't wait to show my summer harvest at the end of July.
Hi Dear , I am a new subscriber of yours . I love gardens and any chance I get to watch and learn more about plants, I enjoy. You are a beautiful young woman with such humble demeanor . So pls don’t feel shy about being in front of the camera. May God bless you
Thank you so much I appreciate your kind words :) I am working on being less camera shy. Ever record your own voice and get weirded out by how it sounds lol?
Also that taro plant is %100 edible, cook the leaves stems and the root makes a potato type thing. Is also sends baby offshoots very often so easy to propagate, it's one of my favorite because it produces a lot of food.
This is incredibly inspiring and awesome! Thank you for this
Thank you
I like that you have before and afters! Great garden.
Thank you so much! I think it's so important to show progress. :)

Nice balcony garden. Hope you're mindful with watering your neighbors below you because my neighbor above me thought I'm also a plant that needs constant watering too.
Yea, I try to stick to a watering schedule as much as I can. Hopefully one day they will let me help them grow plants in their yard and I can water for the both of us :)

Beautiful sharing big lykee 👌 thanks
Thank you so much :)
excellent. I really impressed with you gardening. keep it up. God bless
Thank you !
Just wanted to share a little trick I use to keep the porch cats out of my plants. Plastic forks, turned upside down and placed in the dirt with the tines facing upward. It stopped the cats *immediately* from crawling into my pots. I haven’t had that issue at all since the day I started doing it. And if you get the clear forks, they don’t really show that much. When everything is in bloom you won’t even notice them anymore. But the cats will and will stay away.
You are a GODSEND. They are so mischievous and I didn't want to use anything too drastic but that sounds like it'll work
your garden is amazing...love it
Thank you :))
Beautiful balcony garden. You keep everything so neat and clean. My balcony garden have soil all over the floor over time.
Thank you :) I actually bought a Makita Shop Vacuum (the ones carpenters use) and use that to keep it clean, it's a nifty and essential tool in my garden I highly recommend.
😯💖💖the "plant you found" is called a taro plant. Also known as kalo. It's a Hawaiian staple. You can eat the entire plant. But u must cook it first! The root is steamed, about 3 hours, then peeled. U can cut it in squares and serve with whatever you want. Put it as a replacement for potato in stews or drizzle cold coconut milk. It's a simple starch and hypoallergenic...Hawaiians ate the root by pounding it after its steamed and cleaned, called pa'i'ai, almost like a Japanese moochi. Then we knead water into it and that's how you get poi... The leaves, traditionally, we would use it as a wrap to wrap either pork, fish, beef, or chicken, then steamed as well for 2-3hours. Its kinda like a cooked spinach. Or gather a whole bunch, steam, saute garlic and onion and add to your already cooked Luau.... the stalk, we would peel the skin and add to stir fry... note: if ever u feel that you throat gets itchy from eating drink milk and cook your dish longer.
Your garden is beautiful. It's so nice to see you utilizing your space on the balcony 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
I love all this info about cooking it you just gave me ! add me on ig @urbanoko and lets talk recipes!

You have a beautiful vegetable garden! I'm so impressed by the variety of spices and herbs you're growing in an urban space! Really inspiring. There's no reason for me to not grow my own vegetables even if I didn't have a big yard.
