There’s an adaptation of dark matter coming out on Apple TV
I think it would be so fun if you did a reading vlog reading the books you ended up saving in this series to if it was “worth it” or not
"Oh, it's by a man!" is my fav part of the video
your unhauls are literally the only unhauls i will watch because of this format!! i want TEA and i want it to be THOROUGH and ORGANIZED lol
Thank you!!! 💖
SAME
these unhaul videos always make me go unhaul books from my own shelf afterwards
Foundryside is one of my all time favourites and I think you could like it. It's a heist in a Fantasy !Venice with a programming-based magic system. There are humorous, talking sentient objects, a found family, and a lot of eat the rich vibes.
Also there's a sapphic romance as a subplot that develops over the trilogy and they're so cute 😭😍
Okay you might have convinced me to keep it
I SECOND FOUNDRYSIDE ITS ONE OF MY FAVE BOOKS OF ALL TIME ITS SO FUNNY AND ACTION PACKED!!
I'll honestly be shocked if his new book, The Tainted Cup, doesn't make it to the Goodreads Choice Awards longlist for Fantasy
I heard amazing things about this book. Would love you to check it out!
It's also one of my favorites, and the hardcover is out of print so I'd keep it if I were you!
This was amazing. I prefer unhauls over hauls tbh. I badly need to do this to my shelves! Thank you for the motivation 🥲
This was an absolute massacre and I enjoyed every second of it! In fact you inspired me to get rid of a few books too. New subscriber here 🙋♀
The Witch's Heart is actually based on Norse mythology and features Loki pretty heavily as a character. :)
The Stardust Thief is one of my favorite fantasies. Has found family vibes, very adventurous. Love love love
There are unhauls and then there is savage... girl, this was savage and kudos to you for being so strong 👏
Babel and Paper Menagerie 😭 they are incredible!!
I think that last unhaul video may have been the first video I watched from you! Potential new video series: "Finishing series I keep saying I'm going to finish." 😁
Educated is amazing, I’m almost exclusively a fantasy/scifi/cozy reader but educated was amazing
I love your system for unhauling! So therapeutic!
i'm very proud
now i want to unhaul
People just breaking out in sonnets 😂😂😂
The spear that cuts through water was my first favorite I’ve read this year! Def recommend
This is great and very inspirational to go through my books. That's my summer project.
Your videos are always well thought out
Aw I LOVE The Founders trilogy!! 😍
love this. glad you kept The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno Garcia. i think you're gonna like it 💚
Love a brutal unhaul and just love your content in general 🥰💖.
So glad u saved Educated!! It is fantastic, 5 stars for me. Memoir and very well written, audiobook was great
As someone who read the entire Witcher series, you're not missing much lol
The paper menagerie and other stories is so so good though! Like, life changing in my opinion. The stories are so sweet, sometimes sad but just good all round.
I LOVE a long unhaul video! 🥰 Putting in a good word for The Unbroken! It's one of my favorite series along with Baru Cormorant. I know you said you were unhauling it because it's military fantasy, but if you enjoyed Baru I highly recommend it! ❤
So many books! That's awesome. Plus I love your earrings
Omg congrats! U made me want to do the same with my shelves
I did this recently. Its very therapeutic
Absolutely I will subscribe to see the next shelves, yes I will ❤ I love this type of unhaul and I get to have lots of new recs while feeling a false sense of productivity 😂 I love it
Foundryside is FANTASTIC!!!
I will save that one and try it!
omg i ADORE videos like this!! cannot tell you how quickly i clicked🫡 ALSO your shirt and earrings are everything🤭🤍
I was channeling chestnut springs with my outfit 🤠
The hanged man is so good! I recommend it highly
Sign Here was excellent! I was pleasantly surprised.
Damn, everybody loves The Broken Earth trilogy except me! I found the writing so strange. I felt so dumb but I didn't understand the storyline.
Yes! Clear those shelves!
Nice Unhaul! I discovered your channel through this video. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
I absolutely loooove your videos, you are amazing!
Thank you!!
This was one of the best unhaul videos I’ve ever watched. Now I’m inspired to do my own. 😄
This is the best unhaul format I've seen
Last Night at the Telegraph Club is one of my favorite reads and it would be wrong of me to not try and convince you to keep it😭
Seriously 5⭐️, it's about a lesbian girl in 1950 Chinatown San Francisco and her discoveries about herself as well as her struggle with her family
and the political prejudices against Chinese people at the time (also forbidden love between 2 girls🤧)
Oh love this video!!
The audiobook for Educated is a great way to consume that book x
Giiirrrlll make sure you are checking prices on books before you take them to half price books or just put them on pango for cheap! Uprooted and the original gridha covers are worth money. I sold my grisha set for over 200 like a year or 2 ago
I love this method of unhauling, you were ruthless! I always feel so guilty unhauling 🙈
You should also try Escaping Exodus by Nicky Drayden if you do a taste test for her! It's a super queer sci-fi where they live IN giant space creatures and have a matriarchal system and poly family structures. Lots of good social commentary and it's very unique!
I would love to see a horror recs video (if you’ve done it not so long ago I’m sorry I’ve just started following you😭) I love your videos btw you give off such a good vibe and whenever I get a notification that you posted it immediately makes my day better😊
Fantastic unhaul - so ruthless and inspiring! Love your horror collection. I am currently reading Mira Grant's Newsflesh series and am loving it. It is a virus series though,
We need more unhauls like these!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
kill the queen is really good :) I love Jennifer Estep books
The irony of you almost forgetting a book called Spells of Forgetting hahaha. This is a fun way to unhaul, I enjoy your unhaul videos!
Hellooo, where have you bought your shelves? They're STUNNING!
We could buddy read The Collective haha it's on my tbr from BOTM as well
I believe that you can read either of The Band series first, but Bloody Rose does follow the daughter of a character in Kings of the Wyld which did read first. I did enjoy it but not enough to jump straight into Bloody Rose. I do plan on reading it this year, though.
Immediately pleaaaaassseeee read Foundryside! It's so good
I was thinking the other day "I wonder when Riley will post another video" and you totally delivered with an almost 50 minute video!
Omg. A Long Time Dead sounds so good.
Great unhaul ☕📚
I might need popcorn for this
You should read The Last Sun, I think it will be right on your alley ❤
You should do a video where you attempt to finish series or read the next book in a series that you have started 😊
Recursion 💔 one of my favorite books ever
I’m proud of you. Unhauling is hard.
Michael J. Sullivan is such an amazing author! I'm so happy you're keeping his books ☺
If you end up unhauling Foundryside I'd be interested in purchasing it. I have been looking for a hardcover version for a while.
So happy for you is fun
i know you decided to keep it but i want to throw out there that cinnamon and gunpowder sounded like my ideal book in every aspect but it ended up being super dry and not at all what i expected. i'd love to hear your thoughts on it though because i want to know if it's been enjoyable for others!
Great video!
Pleaseee keep Recursion!! It's SO GOOD!! And this is one of the cases that if you go knowing nothing about it it's better. It kind of deals with time travel, since you said you love those hahaha
Age of Myth by Michael J. Sullivan has such amazing characters and the story is great. Finished it this weekend and instant favorite! Highly recommend 💜
Maybe putting the sequels you haven’t read yet backwards on the shelf will help you see what books you haven’t read yet and need to
Since you said you don't really read YA anymore: For The Wolf is very YA.
And loved this unhaul style🎉🎉🎉
I read the Thursday murder club and absolutely adored it but then I read the man who died twice and didn’t like it as much but I’ve heard good things about it sooooooooo
Unhaul queen and legend ❤❤ I could never 😂
I really love those bookshelves, may I ask where you got them from/a link/their name please? I just stumbled across your channel last night and I am IN LOVE with your content 🥰
I loved this so much! When’s part 2?
Next week!
Oh my goddess, i love your vibe! New subbie here. I too am also a fan of Alexandra Roselyn xoxo
Recursion is SO good. Waaayy better than Dark Matter
Foundryside is so good 😭
oh, good, i just saw other commenters have already pled my case!
Only book I’ll say that you should reconsider is Foundryside! It’s so unique and has fantastic characters. One of the best fantasy series I’ve read in recent years! The final book in the trilogy is my only five star read of this year
I did decide to keep it! I didn't realize how many people loved this book!
42:11 i will never understand the hatred for the 3rd Finlay Donovan book, it's my favourite of the four books (so far)!
RILEY, if I can convince you to keep one book, keep The Change by Kirsten Miller! It's soooo good and was my favorite book of 2022! Witchy vibes, murder mystery, and it has some great social commentary!
The Witch’s Heart is actually Norse mythology about Loki’s wife so you might be more interested in it.
I would love to hear your opinion on The Witch's Heart someday! It's Norse Mythology not Greek, but based on Angrboda mainly with some Loki.. its slow..and quiet.. I related to Angrboda so much I cried. I need to see if the author has any other books out🤔
i really enjoyed prey of gods by nicky drayden! hope you enjoy it" :)
The Witch’s Heart is Norse mythology rather than Greek. It’s about Loki’s wife, and it’s excellent!
[unsolicited advice haha]
if you prefer character development over plot then Babel is a pass. the strongest points of this book have to do with the historical aspects of the setting and the characters definitely take a backseat in this story
i've found that i buy a lot of books because i recognize the covers from booktube and dont want to forget them so i've been using Libby which is connected to my library and have like 500+ books i want to read which is a lot better than owning all of them in my tiny little room 😭 but of course if you have the room for those books and dont mind unhauling unread books then yes im jealous hahahaha
Would love it if you read the series with the ladies on the spine. Something milk and honey I think. lol. Been curious about them forever and I’ve only seen one person review them but I don’t want to commit without more opinions.
I loved Poison study when I read it, as well as loving her other series about a healer. Did you know she wrote more books in the poison study universe?
I haven't read the other books in the series yet but I a plan to!
miranda and caliban is so gd tho 😢❤
You inspired me to do an unhaul LOL
The Witcher books do get better- the translator switch to David French makes all the difference imo, and once you're out of the short stories and into the novels it starts to make more sense.
Baru Cormorant became a four book series and the fourth book is still not out. 😭 I own the three but won't read past the first until we have a release date.
I liked Drayden's The Prey of Gods but didn't like Temper, so my final taste test will be Escaping Exodus!
Oh, and Cassandra Khaw's pronouns are they/them.
Noooooo don't get rid of Foundryside!! I LOVE that book. Main character isn't really a lesbian but it's still sooooo good. The magic system is unlike anything I've ever read.
Is there an order to your shelves? My shelves are super organised 🤣
When i first saw Fallen Kingdoms on the bottom, i mistook them for Throne of Glass & was SO confused you hadn't tossed those a decade ago. 😅
Only 14minutes in but you talked about the Goblin Emperor and I'm currently reading Witness for the dead 😂💕 As someone whose first language isn't English, the Goblin Emperor was a bit hard to read and very intimidating at first because it started with a 12 page glossary about the language spoken (and it always scares me when I have to learn another language for a book basically :'D) the story was great even though I don't know what's classified as "cozy" but some of the dialogue in Shakespeare style wasn't really for me xD I do enjoy the second book more as of now, probably bc it kinda reads like a fantasy detective story and bc we're not in the palace anymore they usually talk more informal to each other 😂 but I still skip any elven or goblin word I can't read bc they didn't add the glossary in the second book 😢😂
I love a unhaul but I feel everyone is nicer to books then me once I read a book it's gone even if i love it i just dont re read any books my attention span cant do it i know the ending. Blows my mind more people with so many books. Like you have so many you've not read do people really re read books over all the books you have you haven't read yet? Blows my mind 😂
why did you getting rid of the falling kingdom series lowkey make me a lil emotional 😂😭😂
