As soon as I saw that bowl I was saying "Yes! Yes! . My grandma taught me when I was not even a teen, " Cut glass feels like it will cut you, pressed glass has all the sharp pressed out". It was a great way for a kid to start learning. I'm so glad you had a good visit with Jordan, I absolutely loved the video you did together about millennial taste.
My granddaughter used to sing herself to sleep as a baby, guess what she does now. In the UK finishing her PHD in music composition.
She is always singing you know she’s coming because you can her her singing.
I really wish Goodwill would put tags off of the makers mark. Is that to much to ask?

My kids, grands and great grands meet at our home every year for Christmas exchange. When they leave I know it will be over 360+ days till I see some of them again. Omg I love fox and the hound too and still makes me cry. I ironically just watched it with my 5 year old daughter today too. Super sweet moment. I noticed that the Simba that you grabbed is actually Nalla and Simba was there next to stich. If he's still there you should grab him to go with Nalla. Always enjoy listening to you and watching you do your thing. Love your vibe and are inspiring. I understand in some ways the hard feels of our babies growing up. We have 9 kids all grown who live away from us, except for 2 daughters. We have been ill for weeks and my husband is still on oxygen. All of our kids have come one at a time to help us. From Wyoming, South Dakota, Florida, Virginia, the upper peninsula of Michigan, Minnesota. We have had so much time with them which is so wonderful. We have been blessed beyond measure. And when they leave, our hearts go with them. ❤️

Collector plate DIY ideas: clock, tidbit trays (3 or 2 tiers), mirror, and outdoor bird feeder. I’m sure there are more ideas but that’s my initial thought.

Great Haul! Loved the American Brilliant bowel. Will look for your video about American Brilliant. I think I have found two pieces.
At 3:33 in this video, just under your left hand, there is a white porcelain tray, that looks like a cracker tray. It is a vintage silverware holder for table display. They come in sets of three....knife tray has divided top to hold knives, then one for forks and the spoon holder is usually rounded on both ends. Very collectible. Pricey for the set on the internet. I passed a set up at a fabulous garage sale last weekend. Could kick myself. :D
One good mark is circle with PT in the center and swords crossing over it.
Collector plates need to be made food safe. That way when you're tired of them they at least have a use - someone would love them!
I suppose even now they.could be used as a charger plate- using a clear plate for the food would be charming! I think I'll be looking at those plates a little differently now!

I don't think she bought because it was too small. I have noticed some stuff from the DollarTree at her goodwills but she doesnt mind picking up dollar store items because it saves her another trip and gas. But she usually only spends 1.99 max on those items 😁🤗
As Melissa knows me well - if I can save time going to another store I do! Even spending twice as much can save me so much more than that as time is money!

I have some American Brilliant and know about the sharpness in the patterns. They can and will cut if you handle it wrong. I am amazed they actually cut them like this. Have a great day

I grab American Brilliant when I can. A few months ago I got a signed Hawk bowl, about the same size as yours, for $15 at a Mennonite Thrift Shop. There was only a few flea bites. I was ecstatic! Yours is wonderful! What a great find! It's always an exciting find! So happy for you!

I'm looking for green jadeite ice cream dishes... mom had her ONE my great grandmother would give her a treat in. I grew up being mom's chip checker. Run finger around all edges. BIG monster lamps, I painted terracotta, removed lamp parts, aged them; and they lasted outdoors for 15+ years until plaster was too pitted.

I will always regret leaving 2 American Brilliant pieces on the shelf. I didn't know what it was at the time, but those pieces just SHONE in the sunshine, unlike any other I've seen. I so wish I would've gone with my gut and purchased them. Haven't found any since.

Yes, a baby bullet is for baby food, but $24.99 is expensive for a used one. I love my salt lamps, but can buy a brand new one on Amazon for $13! $30 is ridiculous, ugh... Glad you passed them both by! xoxo
Salt lamps are bad if you have cats, I've learned. Cats love to lick them and they get sodium toxicity. I recently was adopted by a cat and I had to do some quick research. I left the top off my salt pig and he got into it. I had no idea cats did that. Cats are weird. ;)
