- Should I Come Back to This Goodwill - Thrift With Me Road Trip
This is part 3 of a 5 store road trip to Arizona. Not sure if I should come back to this Goodwill again - not nearly as much cool stuff to find on the shelves but we still managed to get some goodies at this Goodwill and one other store. See what I put in the cart on this thrift with me adventure!

LOVE this picture with the 50's fashionista vacuuming! Lots of interesting finds!
The bird house was not broken. It was really good that it opened. It's so you can clean it out each year so no bacteria is passed on from bird to bird that lived there previously.
You're ✅
Noah! You got a nice plant, wish you were here shopping with your Mom. You are always so funny and positive.
Hi! I live in a mid size town. We have one goodwill. And yes the pricing has really gone up. My sister and I love to go to Kansas City to shop. But I wanted to tell you how much you have helped me look for quality. Thank you. You are amazing.
Mary Jackson you must live Close to me as I live north east of Kansas City about an hour and 20 minutes. In a little small town also with maybe two small thrift stores. Me and my cousin go to Kansas City also the thrift. Glad to see another Missourian on here as well watching Danni. 👋👋👋
It's hard for me to think of anything from the 1990's as vintage...but then I'm halfway between vintage and antique myself at age 61!
Lol, slightly younger, but yes, this channel is both happy/fun and a sad reminder of my age...
I'm always amazed at stuff I had or still have. Then I remember, oh yea,.I'm.a vintage person. And happy that I liked the stuff back in the day and still do. 😃
@@alicefreeman8466 The quality and workmanship was so much better. "Back in the day", people bought well-made things and kept them, maybe intending to hand them down to their children. Now everything is perceived as mass-produced and disposable.
@@lindadorman2869 agree
I'm 73! Imagine how surprised I am to be vintage! Lol!
Nice to see you both shopping together. Dont give up on the trucks. There are alot of suv's that get great gas mileage and have good warranties. Keep checking them out
Morning Danni sending love Ann nice to see Jordan with you ,I can see how happy you are when your children shop with you xxxxx❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The Goodwill stores by you are like none other. I have never been in a thrift store like yours.
A lot of times the afghans are crochet with acrylic yarns which may have never been in a washer and dryer and will feel rough because the yarns still have the chemicals from processing on them once they go through being washed and then dried in a heated dryer the acrylic will turn limp and soft. Wool will not have been through a washer and dryer because of felting the fabric unless the article was made with a wool mix that can be machine washed and dried.
Jordan is to cute... popping in to stay hydrated. I liked the superb owl party!!!!
Ha! I didn’t understand until I saw it written out. 😊
I found a Glassybaby at my local Goodwill. I live in the Pacific Northwest, about 5 hours from Seattle where they make these. It was put in the shot glass section, tangerine colored and the imprint on the bottom was not super clear. Because of you educating your viewers, I realized what it was (with glee) and picked it up for $5. Sold it for $95. So fun!
Barbara, where in Washington state do you live? Live about an hour out of Seattle. I have yet to find a Glassy Baby, but I keep looking. Some day I want to visit the hot shop in Seattle. Marianne
That is awesome!
I actually live in Oregon, not WA
Superb owl/super bowl! I love it.
I love that! Superb Owl Party - very clever!
Gut instinct made me $1500 on a $10 investment buying something I would not normally buy but like you said the quality was there and the pieces were absolutely gorgeous!!
Ohhh! I didn’t get it either until you pointed out “superbowl”! Clever!!! Yay Jordan!
This is how all the Goodwill trips are in my area
Hi Dannie, you passed that beautiful bird cage at minute 20:13 🙏❤
That tissue cover made in Mexico I really love.
Oh man, to bad those Greek cups were so high. I’m Greek and loved them.
That Cougar picture was beautiful with him in the snow.
Gynaika mou is from Glafada Athens! We have a few that we have for show. Wish we would have gotten more to use everyday to read the coffee🤫
I'm going to keep telling you that you look great in color tops and I happen to love that shade of red! Keep it up; you're looking great 👍
Oh thank you!
I agree with you about quality. I always buy the best I can afford. I may spend more initially, but I feel that quality stands the test of time.
So enjoyable I loved the speckled Red Truck fab
I got the “superb owl party” love it. My birthday has fallen on that Sunday many years past, I remember a football field cake!
I just got it too. What a great idea. I'm a firm believer in any excuse for a party. I remember my parents getting phone calls for " come as you are" parties!! How fun. Fire up the barbie, call your friends, see what people were doing when you called. These parties were a huge hit. People would keep chips and dips on hand in case there was a call. I remember someone showed up with hair dye on her hair and a timer in hand!
Thank you ❤️ You never disappoint me. Awesome you and Jordan can spend time together.
I would TOTALLY buy that telavera tissue box cover! GORGEOUS ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My dream vacation now is to come to Vegas and go thrifting all over!! Your GWs are so HUGE!!!😉😄😄
That would be great if people would donate to the smaller thrifts. One of the GW's I go to had a set of Temptations Old World pattern, racks, lids and all priced reasonable last week $7-!2, today marked up to $12-20. I think the manager saw me checking it out and gathering the family together on a shelf so re-priced them. I should of picked them up but not my niche ; ) They know who the resellers are.
I learned when touching up anything with shine a bit of nail top coat works magically. Also I think I found the Pfaltzgraff gravy or cream with plate that goes with the butter dish you found a couple episodes ago! Thank you for being such an inspiration and wealth of knowledge🥰
You all did great shopping!...and Jordan is lovely...You did well raising her!...🙏💜
I'm old and wonder what " the owl thing" is??? We had toga parties, no explanation needed! 🤣. Have fun at the owl party
Hi Danni! I felt for you. Going on a road trip in a gas guzzler and not getting a big haul. At least Noah got his BBQ! 👍
Thank you for taking us along. ☺️💐🇬🇧
Oh, @23:34 there was a kokapelli picture in a frame! Kat, the Nurse Flipper would LOVE it:):) I always love it when you find things that make you think of others.
I love kokapellis but that picture was I think just a printer print I could see why she passed it. Because she knows she has several viewers who love native art, including Kokapelli's and Kachina dolls. She did pick up that Alaskan Tsimshian Artist Copper Box, beautiful. But good eye I didn't even noticed it, only when you said something I went back and saw it! 🤗😁
I seen that on the shelf as well.
Love the Brass bird on marble stand
Nice to see your kids & you family trips in the videos. :)
Yes indeed just like our Goodwill just not worth checking out anymore!!! You have a real nice Goodwill close to you it's awesome!!!
Got it Jordan! Superb owl 🦉 👌 👏 👍
Watched your video that you did at the Tampa Red, White and Blue Thrift Shop. I wasn’t aware that it existed, so my friend and I are going to check it out tomorrow! Thanks for all of your great videos! I’ve learned a lot from you!
Hi Cynthia, I’ve been to that store and it’s great, just so you know it’s “cash only”. I think they are in the process of opening a 2nd store in Tampa.
@@denisesanchez557 I thought the one on Hillsborough Ave was open, but nope, not yet. I’ll check out the one on Waters next week!
The polo mugs at 28:49 are vintage Ralph Lauren Thoroughbred mugs from late 1970’s.
Superb owl party...super bowl party...great play on words.
I pick the lucky cart with you and most of the time I pick the same one as you pick! I love your videos
And wish I could be with you but I am too old and sick. I suffered a stroke 3 and a half years ago but thank God the Doc gave me medicine that saved my ability to walk, talk and see well. Keep up your good work and loving your kids!
Ooh the greens and purples
SUPERb owl party... LOVE THAT SHOW 😂
That scuba squirrel looks like Sandy from SpongeBob!
Sunrise picture is beautiful
Thank you so much for all the great information you share. Thank you. Thank you. 👏👏👏👏
I enjoyed video thanks for sharing.
We have some George Rhodes prints we bought in the 1980s from him at the Redondo Beach craft fair.
That glass swan candle was nice!
I’m not a mid-century person but am amazed at how many people are. Maybe because I lived it lol it brings back a lot of great memories . I love to watch the recaps, always very interesting to learn and am always happy for you! I loved my Pilot SUV. It got great mileage. It was definitely vintage. We had it forever until my husband totaled it just recently. He’s fine, took forever to get a used car because the demand is high right now. Luckily we can borrow a friends truck if we need one. From time to time they come in handy
Super Bowl Party = Superb Owl Party!
Wow it looks like you found some great merchandise with good value. Thank You for sharing.
We need to bring clear glass back!!!
The Kleenex box was beautiful. All that shopping and driving, how do you do it!!!
That nuthatch painting/print was nice...maybe I'll paint one. Only my Hummingbirds came out perfect with oil paint
Nice to know you have some normal days too, can't win at all the stores. But you got to have a road trip with your daughter!
I’d use that Kleenex box holder as a decorative piece . I’d look for a dish the shape of the opening or have a local potter make me one to fit,
It would be beautiful for little things on a counter side table or dresser.
If I remember correctly, that board with trivet was called a cheese board. They were used when enteraining. You would put a block of cheese or a cheese ball on trivet with with a spreader or small cutting knife. The concave area was where you put the crackers. Then people just fixed their own.
They usually have a glass domed top don’t they? I have a small one that does. Keeps the cheese nicer
😂 Your supposed to know about the superb owl party but do you really wanna know? I hope she has a blast! I remember that age and so do you, 😆
I think you should go back, but just to check things out, maybe space your visits out further apart. On the positive note, I want you to know I originally started following Thrifting Vegas, and she is lovely, as soon as I started following you, I knew you were my people. LOL, I love a little sarcasm. I love your honest comments. Please never stop being you. Every time, I watch you, I learn something new and I smile. I really enjoy the friendship the two of you have, and your different styles. This world has been such a sad place, thank you for providing a break for me. I have to say the prices at my GoodWill have skyrocketed, they get items for free, and are aiming high price-wise, but I am learning what to purchase what to leave. I have a ton of Christmas food trays. LOL, and I had to laugh when you said you were not a tray person. Because, they don't sell and times of entertaining are not what they were. THank you for sharing your time and your knowledge, making me laugh a little everyday. Be You, Be Real. Thank you again.
Love the speckled truck!
I love the camera footage going into the store. /; )
Got some good items and some even better returns lol xxx
Love you're channel ❤️
Oh my gosh u might not have picked up a lot on this trip but what you were able to find looks like Really good resell value.👍 the second thrift store u2 went to looked like more fun maybe because the place was so neat. Always enjoy your videos no matter what.👍😊❤
The nuts and bolts guy is a French horn player 💗
Sorry you wasn't able to find alot of treasures. Did your son like the picture ? I think maybe he would of liked the pic of the tree with red sunset in the back ground. Js. Lot's of love to you all ! 👍🏻😘🤗
Tell your daughter good luck on her party ! We are getting snowed in on wens.& Thurs. In S. Mich.
He did not! Darn it!
Always good to see Jordan
That spruce green Tiara glass does pretty well. The pitcher you looked at is a 40 dollar item.
Really slow seller and takes a lot of space to store ;-)
The Goodwills in my area have priced themselves out of my affordability range. Rarely do I find a good deal. They started doing it when the Vid had everyone locked in and out of work. Everyone here is complaining. A lot of their merch is at new prices.
Here where I am too. We have two but prices are high and stuff just thrown on shelves. No fun anymore
Hi Danni! I’m in Bullhead and agree with you that Goodwill has changed some. I was in there a couple of days before you visited. I cracked up that a lot of what you picked up to look at and put back, so had I! Love your videos!
Love the seagull and the Talavera!
The red truck would make a great place to create a silk floral arrangement!
Enjoyed seeing the goods.
The sides open on the bird house so you can clean it out in between occupants. My birdhouses are never empty. When the babies are born dad has to sleep on the roof. The smart dad sleeps in my clothespin bag. Yes, I still hang out laundry. Nothing smells better than air dryed bedding.
The Black Media pad you picked up at 31:02 looks like it might have been for autographs?! It looks like a signature on one of the pages, as you are flipping through it. Famous person maybe? 🥰 Oh, if only we knew. Lol
That rock clock was likely a banded calcite. It also could have been what's called bacon opal, but I didn't get to look at it for long enough.
Oh those pretty green glasses at 29:15/37:46 or so! Looked like uranium glass!
They fool me but I've blacklighted them to find they are not glowy!
Great pics. I recommended my sister's to you they are wanting to become resellers. I told them about the niche foundation on face book. I hope you can help them. And thank you for sharing all that you do.
Love the red truck, I have one for every season, thanks to my children. I love decorating them . 🚘🚘🛻
Hi Danni, what is a Glassy Baby and why would the Thrift Store pull them. I’ve never heard of them before so don’t know whether we have them in the UK. REGARDS Sue x
Kosta Boda does not always mark their snowballs. It is a toss up. I have a few and have one that is not "genuine"., but close enough so you can barely tell the difference. 'they are all so lovely when their candles are lit.
Danni that's a bummer that Northwest AZ was a bit of a let down. The prices have blown up since the population here blew up. Not just goodwill, but a lot of thrifts and flea markets. I think I need to head up to your neck of the woods to treasure hunt.😊
I liked that bird house..
Hi this is the first time I’m watching your channel. I’m loving it. On this tape at 9:21 there is a vase in the back with a daisy on it. It looks interesting. How bout it.?
Welcome! I didn't look closer at that one I'm afraid
Hey Danni,Jordan Let's Get Shop Done!
Jordan has a beautiful shape!!! Very nice!!!
You should see her Instagram modeling pictures she is so beautiful.
At 15:50 there was a pair of trashtastic shell salt n pepper shakers!!
Boy, you had to work hard to get your treasures, this time around. Enjoyable on this end, though. Thanks for all of your hard work. Curious about how area 15 worked out for you guys.
Howdy Neighbour! She posted a pic of her & Noah at area15 with Noah with a huge chocolate icecream cone. And she said it was good. Hope you don't get snowed in, in the next few days! Stay warm & safe! 😜🤗
@@melissalynncolbert-amyotte4678 hey, hey, girl. I missed that photo, somehow. Ottawa was an interesting place on the weekend. Yikes!! As for snow. Yup. Supposed to get 5 to 10, tomorrow. 10 to 20, Thursday.
@@judyparmentier9699 Yes it was glad I live in the rural part of Ottawa, but my cousin lives right near it and it's getting tired of it. They say they might leave for Queens Park for the weekend? Don't know. Maybe all the snow we are to get Tomorrow and Thursday will get them to pack up. so the residents can go back to normal.
I'll include video soon!
@@TheNICHELady geez…ya been busy or sumthin’?💜
Oh Danni, I am in the UK and not into any sport, but I got the joke about the Superb owl party........or should I say Superbowl party! x
That moriage butterfly vase at 1:46 is worth about $75. I know it's bulky but I sold one recently.
A few people I know just don't bother going to the store anymore!!! It really gotten sad! Hard to find a nice deal no need to even look for real quality item!!! It is what it is
I guess you can use them for a trash can but that wicker thing you have is actually a hamper
Our GW had increased prices recently. A pair of children's Faded Glory fashion boots were priced at $10.88. Hobby Lobby Farmhouse tin sign $20.88. I said something to an employee I know well and she said they are looking everything up on eBay.
I truly take my hat off to you, not knowing from month to month how you would make all bills paid and all, I guess you just know, I am a 1099 and in the same boat, if I don't sell Real Estate I can't provide for myself, any how I also help protect families with Life Insurance and Final Expense and Mortgage Protection, learning a lot from your Videos Danni! Thank you!
She works hard for her money, RUclips says Goodwill videos gets the most views. Then her direct from video sales, and lives sales and trying to get her stuff back on ebay etc. Also her antique booth She is a busy woman to be able to have her bills paid. You sound busy too! 🤗😁
@@melissalynncolbert-amyotte4678 not sure why you always respond?
@@kathypersall5439 Because I am her YT mod, and sometimes Danni is too busy to answer right away. So I answer some of them and report any to Danni that need action. Sorry you don't like me responding but most like the prompt answer. I hope you understand.
Melissa is my amazing gem of a friend!
I was just told that Kosta Boda is no longer signing their snowballs. So if the paper labels are removed, you take your chances.
You should come to the East Valley. Mesa, Chandler, Tempe and Ahwatukee have good shopping 🙂
If you want to find the most valuable items, go to Goodwills in the roughest neighborhoods you can find.
I don't know why, but regional offices send the best pieces to those stores. I literally just picked up a lifetime collection of Orrefors off the shelves in one, broken down store. Several of the pieces were worth more than $100 each.
Which is why I laughed when you passed on the snowball. I have a few of those for next Christmas now. They come in graduated sizes, I found out. They were sold in sets of three.
On that cheese board, would there be a top for it where the square indent is?
Loved the red trk
Just wondering what was closing up at 6 p.m.? Goodwill stays open until 9 p.m. and it wasn't dark when you were filming. I'm not sure what your store's focus is, since you alternate between "your thing" and what's worth selling to you.
We had already been to both Goodwills, everything else closed at 6.
The only Goodwill in my town are on limited hours, 11-6,due to staff shortage, Js
People in my area would rather donate to independent thrifting stores…the other ones let their employees have first choice before things even get to the floor!
I donate to finders keepers. It benefits domestic violence victims. They just recently raised the prices cause alot of resellers but their stuff is still affordable. You can't beat a brand new name brand pair of shoes for less then $10. Favorite place to go.
Our goodwill and salvation army take the good stuff load it in a truck don't know where they take it. I live in Jacksonville NC big military base and ours are basically clothes smh
