I have tickets to two of the shows. I saw them so many times live, I’m really excited for this. Bloody 20 years 😬 Still, very happy. They were always really nice dudes, and genuinely kind. Hopefully they’ve retained that.
I’ve waited for them to tour again literally for 12 years. Never knew if it would happen, but checked religiously just in case…. *Insert Princess Diaries Song, Miracles Happen*
I'm glad someone finally agrees with me! Mark (the drummer) is really underrated. I always thought he was incredible. This band is definitely one of the best.
People claim crimes and young machetes are their "worst" albums because they grew as a band, as they say themselves they're not the same band that they started off as. I think its great that they have such a diverse collection of songs. Some bands have been releasing the same album since their first record.
I find it so mad that the bass player Morgan went from being in this hard hittin' rough spittin' punk band to being in a beautiful harmonious folk band (Fleet Foxes). Awesome
@@jamiewesson898 Amazing that someone was talking trash about this band as recent as a year ago. I don't understand what you mean though. Really truly impressive, but beyond that, it sounds great for their overall sound. Perhaps this isn't your thing? Maybe just comment that instead.
ever try to sing like that? your vocal chords are shredded after about 10 seconds, i have no idea how both of them could do that for 45 minutes every night for months on end on tour.
i get so much hate for liking this band and i dont get it. they're flippin amazing. some of the most unique lyrics, insane rhythm, amazing voices and drums, like.. what the FUCK is there to hate on?
I will be honest and say that I wasn't a big fan of the blood brothers until young machetes but when I listen back on their previous albums such as crimes and such I have become a big fan of their work. And this video is awesome. LIKE
I just played this vid 5 times with out getting borred never heard of them before. Great voice, diferent, and most important entretaining that is what music is for entretaining and ofcourse day dreaming great.
there aren't many bands you can say sound like either AFI or BBs. AFI maybe you could say these new Mtv kids try to sound like them, but AFi's been around forever, always progressing their sound. I would say BPIB! is a modern masterpiece. First album of theirs I bought and it's incredible. BBs have only progressed and created original, unique music.
Same here man, my only chance to see them was at Emo's. But my brother thought that they would be sold out since they had music videos and seemed to be popular enough. But my friend told me they still had plenty of tickets and I was so pissed :[
Its Rollin's show man, and its on the Independent Film Channel... I like to think he only has people he finds interesting on, and only people who find him interesting bother to come on. Actually, now that I think about, his show is totally analogous to Johnny Cash's show. JC would have people who were way country or way R&B on, but it was always clear he had a say in inviting them. And I think Hank's show is very similar.
Young Machetes was their BEST ALBUM by far! Their creative peak. Almost every song is fucking awesome. Such an original sound. Too bad it came out in 2007. It’s seems like ever since the millennium no one gives a rats ass about originality, substance or imagination in music. FUCK today’s music. So horrible.
The drummer Mark is currently the beat master for the rap group Champagne Champagne, they're a pretty sick group and put on a good live show. Saw them a Bumbershoot myself and their performance was right up there with the big bands in terms of showmanship
Yeah, thats a good point as well. Well its always good that a band just plays music they feel is good and playing music that they like without caring about there record sales, reviews, etc, and thats what the blood brothers do. I'm sure AFI is also making music they like, maybe they had a few hits and misses but at the end it shouldnt matter what people think. I know, easier said than done
The Blood Brothers are my favorite band, I listen to a shitload of music, but everytime people ask about my favorite band I reply "The Blood Brothers", of course they never know who it is -_- But anyways, yeah, even I have to admit that Johnny seemed a bit off here, Jordan did okay, but he did have a few spotty moments. I like watching bands live just as much as hearing the studio recordings :p
I saw them in like '05 or something, and it is still the best show I've been to. There was a point where I was right up near the front, and the stage rush was so intense I wasn't touching the floor anymore. And I'm not a small dude. SO much energy and talent in those guys.
Does anyone know the keyboard chords for this? I'm sure it's simple enough but I'm just learning and can't quite figure it out on my own. Thanks in advance!
I love the blood brothers but dont you hate when people try to compare their cds? all of their cds from rumors laid waste up to Young machetes are amazing! no 2 cds, scrach that NO 2 SONGS sound the same thats whats so great about this band they always kept it fresh right up until the end. it sucks because I only had one chance to see them live but I didnt have enough $ to fly to the "live at emos show in texas" (I live in IL) but this song is awsome live. sounds better than the cd version.
Let's face it...people only illegally download simply cause they feel like they won't get caught right??? Because they've done it for SOOO LONG, and still no consequences that hurt em....oh well. Either way, I LOVE THE BLOOD BROTHERS!!
I dunno. I guess I could see how you would say AFI lost their edge on the newest album just cause it isn't exciting to see live. I will admit that I was disappointed with the majority of the newest songs on the DVD. however, I would say that Sing the Sorrow was a phenomenal album in terms of basically everything. all the vocals, the more complex guitar parts, recording quality, etc.
@chrisgeedoublezyo I heard his brother Rudy is more skilled, but I haven't heard much of him. Regardless, Mark definitely has an advanced grasp on beats. He's done some pretty great stuff. In Past Lives he's making really interesting and intricate beats that are danceable at the same time. And yeah, Morgan is the shizznit.
@BrothersOfDecadence People are crappy for the most part. That is the only reason that I don't enjoy going to shows sometimes. And I can honestly say that I didn't really like them at first but after hearing as many God awful bands that I have in the past I realized that the Brothers are actually very musically skilled.
There will never be another band like the blood brothers ever again. Ever.
Uh, there were many before them and after them. lmao
One off the the top of my head, Antioch Arrow.
i agree, nothing like them! closest i've found is The Jonbenét. Give them a listen...

Why hasn't anyone commented on the drummer? Damn insane so goood!!!
Seen these guys in American legion Hall back in high school like 20 years ago change my life forever
and Mark is a bad ass drummer. He rocks the fuck out.
The fact that Johnny Whitney hasn't destroyed his voice yet is impressive!

13 years later, I’m sure it was worth it 😂
Seeing the brothers in Seattle this November 😊
