Shikamaru didn't even needed to think and lay out any shogi tactics this time around. Seemed like defeating Tayuya has became just his sheer muscle memory at this point.
I also think part of it was the change of terrain. The last time they fought it was up in the branches of trees so it was harder to reach her and her summons directly with his shadows since he couldn't reach over the gaps yet. This time they're fighting on flat ground.

This really takes me back... Their fights during the Sasuke Recovery Mission, were insane
They scared me when I was a kid lowkey. Especially the summons for that sound ninja. Watching them take down those four with swift overpowering makes me so proud of them.

agreed, my all time fav naruto arc. the music opening, the char build up, anything just perfect. the fights back then were even more insane compare to this. maybe they just doing it for fan service this time.
@@faiz5815has to be fan service. There's a noticeable difference between the fights from part 1 and now, and the difference isn't just in power
Fights during the war arc just really sucked. All the strategy and thoughtfulness was taken out. Everyone was just so powerful that a fight was basically "who has the bigger laser" and then "who has the secret even bigger laser."
I know this is filler but, Kiba piercing three Rashomon Gates in one go is a big accomplishment since it's one of the toughest physical defense in the Naruto universe. (also, this kind of episode should've been canon)
Honestly maybe too big an accomplishment… like that thing can stand up to tailed beast bombs
@@rohanshah7559we saw the rashomon gates vary in terms of defense. Orochimaru summonded 3-4 and tanked Naruto’s 4 tailed mode tailed beast bomb while Hashirama summoned more and could tank the ten tails’ bombs. Maybe these ones were even weaker than Orochimaru’s.
@@rohanshah7559Rashoman seems to vary in strength based on the amount of chakra used for the summoning. Also in the times we see it used blatant piercing attacks have always done more damage than aoe attacks like the massive tailed beast bombs.
So it might be that the jutsu is better for large scale strikes in general. Which would make sense that Kiba's jutsu is stronger than Sakon and Ukon since he's now stronger than they are + fang over fang is a repeated piercing attack. So he and akamaru can funnel through the weak point they make on contact.
Remember they blatantly rushed through 10 tail fodder with legitimately no resistance either.

Stop downplaying kiba the goat. He even summoned a 3 head beast against 10 tails (stronger that this one). He ends the series kage level u like it or not

Even though this was anime filler. I feel like it was much needed to show how strong the main side characters have gotten.
Plus it’s better than 90 percent of the fillers from Boruto

@@gilbertotabares8196 Well seeing as they got manipulated by Orochimaru as kids, they really didn't have much free will to be evil of their own volition. If Naruto was raised by Orochimaru when he was evil, he'd become evil too, should he go to the underworld too if that were the case? This was filler anyway and Naruto's rasengan killing them when they're immortal was idiotic.

This was some of the best filler. I remember how I wanted to see the Sound 4 again and was disappointed they weren't reanimated, so imagine my hype when these episodes came out. Still wish we got a bit of Kimmimaro filler, but this was nice.

Tayuya's flute sounds took me back 15 years into the past. So damn nostalgic. Sometimes i wish i could go back in time to when life was easier and less stressful, despite not having much 😔

The injustice of this being filler and the literal best thing from Kiba in shippuden is just kinda painful. It made me feel that he was at least on some equal ground with Choji, Neji, and Shikumaru for a bit.
Even without this filler, nothing suggests that Kiba is that much weaker than the other 3 at all.
I definitely see Kiba beating Choji more times than losing due to speed and the 3-headed cerberus which tears through large opponents.

The leaf ninjas original fights against the sound ninjas in Naruto where some of the best and epic fights for me of the entire franchise. Really love it when side characters get epic fights to show what they are made of. It was awesome to see how much powerfuller they have gotten from those first encounters during the rematches.
Honestly, we need some lore on what those giant humanlike beings Tayuya summons are.
i assumed they were just heavily experimented humans made by Orochimaru and given as summons to Tayuya

I can't remember where exactly but I recall them being referred to as "Ogres" either in the PS2 games or a Databook.
We need more lore on Tayuya in general. All her abilities are super unique. One of the few (only?) auditory genjutsu users, her ogre demon summons, etc.

Such a profound and cathartic rematch seeing the Sasuke Retrieval team Soundly defeating the Sound Four. Even Neji gets to shine again.
And it's all filler.
I think this is an example of great filler.
I was thinking that about Neji. Knowing what happens every bit of screentime like that epic air palm is greatly appreciated. The flavor added from spiderguy when he beats him with it... "Chakra bundled and thrown; I would have never expected you gained a jutsu like that" makes you realize how much that ability is like Boruto's Rasengan.
@@SpumoonIt showcases just how left out these characters were, that they only progressed by their jutsus being stronger and them being marginally nicer.
We don't really see how they're evolved and more experienced because they had just so little development in shippuden

It's weird to think that Choji had the most decisive win of all of them in the Sasuke retrieval arc. Only he and Neji won their fights on their own, and Neji almost died because of wounds inflicted by the enemy. Choji almost died too, but because he pushed himself too far, not because Jirobo damaged him that badly. Never really thought about that before, but it clicked as I was watching these and realized that his scene was the least satisfying because it was just a more decisive version of what had already happened.
Even that's debatable because Choji had to take the chakra pills in order to keep up with his opponent. Even if the Sand trio didn't help him, it wasn't like he won on his own
The pills were a very useful writing device because they allowed Choji to access the power he had as an chonin as a genin, so if he actually died, we got to see his whole kit. But since he didn't die, it's effectively just spoilers, because instead of learning new stuff he's learning the stuff he cheated out early.
Is like fighting the first boss after beating the game over 20 times.

My wayfu Tayuya died too soon, when she was still a teenager... I'm glad she was resurrected for a while, but it hurts to see that it's just to beat her up again.

No lies but Kiba is hella powerful and its shown in this cuz sakon and ukon summon the TRIPLE RASHOMON a summon used by Orochimaru against Four Tails Naruto Kyubi Cloak

Back then he bend one gate!? Bended rashomon is not easy task as the gate say to be as strong as 1/10 bijudama. And we all know how strong bijudama is

Not a big surprise of Kiba. He already had the best offensive power when they fought the sound 4 the first time. No one there could have damaged Rashomon or splitted Sakon and Ukon in 2 like he did back then.

Acutely there were very good ones
For me the best filler arc in Naruto was the 3 tailes arc:
1 Good character Guren and Yakimaru
2 Some good fights
3 and follow the strategic construc of a mission

Considering the Sound 4 were already struggling against exhausted Jounin, which included Shizune it wasn't all that surprising that the post-timeskip gang managed to easily defeat them. Still it was a really cool moment.

Yeah, filler doesn't always mean bad. There are some great fillers that are so good that they should've been cannon or held to a higher regard

Tayuya was my teenager crush, so watching this is just painful... then again watching modern Naruto/Boruto is even more painful. Perhaps her dying wasn't so bad, considering what she got spared from.

It’s a shame the anime writers gave more love to the konoha 11 than kishi himself. The fact neji nor lee had one single canon fight in shippuden is criminal.
Naruto and Sasuke were the focal point of the series. Kishimoto clearly wanted to write a story about 2 brothers or rather characters whose relationship was about brotherly companionship. Showing off the other characters would have diminished what Kishimoto was going for in his plot

what i luv about most naruto filler is that u could technically call it canon since it technically still happens, in the story more so in the animes story and not the mangas

What makes this great was that the sound 4 did an asspull afterwards
Payback for nearly dying to them to defeat them or needing the Sand Siblings’ help to finish them off.
This is cool but makes me wish shippuden figured out how to use any of the supporting characters besides as callbacks to the original series
the sound four were above jonin level closer to anbu enemies its already insane they beat them while being genins
To be fair, the sound four was weakened and their stamina already reaching its limit after getting encountered by exhausted genma and raido. Even after that, only 2 of the genin could managed to defeated them, the rest was almost dead and got saved by the trio sunagakure and konoha medical nin led by kakashi
The fact they’re just posting this now is kinda nice, keeping us distracted from the disaster of Boruto.

btw this is part 1 of the rematch the Second Half is the sound 4 soul traps them in a dome where there energy depletes and the final half Naruto Enters
Naruto filler was even worth it. I forgot this was even filler honestly. Such development. These episodes made what happened to Neji so much more impactful
This is one of the rare fillers that was actually quite good, and actually shows the side characters getting some attention and shows how strong they've gotten. Back then, the Sasuke retrieval squad was fighting for their lives, pkus Kiba and Shikamaru had to get saved by one od the sand siblings, but now, they completely stomp the sound four.
They ruined it by having naruto have to come save them

When you die, you die. There is no advancement at all. But death doesn't have to be literal. If you are nor progressing, changing, processing, you might as well be dead. The one's marching forward will always keep evolving.
