I'm currently contemplating commencing a Bachelors in Finance majoring in Financial Mathematics, and was going to follow up with a MBA, however the CFA makes more sense. Yes, it is more study, however the world of Finance/Math really makes my blood pump, whereas general business subjects tend to steer me towards poor focus towards an exciting future career in International business. It's Finance (CFA) all the way for me. Thanks for a really up-front comparison of both educational strategies. It has definitely confirmed that I was born to be a Financial Analyst.
