Hey nice video! I work in coffee and I know that the Bambino Plus is a great choice for a home setup without completely breaking the bank. If you haven't already I'd recommend James Hoffmann's series on understanding espreso and you'll be a pro in no time. That wasn't too bad for a first shot, but it's definitely worth tweaking the grind finer to dial down that acidity you mentioned. And I really, really recommend getting a dosing funnel for your portafilter to avoid all the mess you see at 8:30. Good luck!
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your feedback! I will definitely check him out, I am still working on grind size, manually steaming milk, and of course, latte art lol 😆☕️✨ thanks again!
You should definitely go for it! It's been my favorite purchase ever! 🤍☕️ I was nervous to make a purchase like this, but I can confirm it’s 100% worth it if you love espresso and fresh lattes! I also find the process of making coffee each morning to be therapeutic in a way ✨🥰 I have it linked in the description and I believe it’s still on sale!
Yayyy finally someone who gets it!! Haha 🤣 🤍🫶🏻 that’s a great machine! I know Nespresso was having a huge sale recently and I do like how easy it is to make a coffee ☕️
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if you'd spent most of your budget on the grinder and got an aeropress, you'd have a much nicer coffee. You've just bought two low grade machines instead of focussing the spend where it counts.
This isn't very helpful advice. Firstly, the Bambino Plus isn't a 'low grade' machine, it's perfectly capable of producing good espresso if you know what you're doing and are using fresh specialty coffee. It's probably the most proficient machine at this price point. While the Smart Grinder Pro is a little dated now, it's still able to grind finely and consistently to pull decent shots enough even if the adjustment could be more granular. Aeropress is great (I have one too, along with Niche/Commandante) but that's a totally different brewer primarily for filter coffee and although it's true you can have simulate espresso with it, it's a completely different thing. If I want a cappucino I know which setup I'd prefer.
@ - it’s very helpful advice actually. These are both entry-level pieces of equipment that won’t last more than a few years. Considering the grinder is the most important aspect of making decent espresso then you can find a whole lot more for your money secondhand with the same amount of money she spent on this low-grade equipment. And believe me, it is low grade.
@@MrCostaC The Bambino + one of the best entry level espresso machines on the market, and working in coffee I frequently recommend it to people who want to pull shots at home without spending a tonne of money. If you care for them properly, including regular descaling they can last a long time, as many owners of them will attest. To say it's 'low-grade' is only relative to machines in a completely difference price bracket with more features and more solid metal construction. It's user friendly, has good temp stability and perfectly fine milk steaming. James Hoffmann's review on it is pretty solid too, for what it's worth. The maxim that it's worth investing more in a grinder is quite true, but your advice for OP to replace her perfectly fine espresso setup with one that doesn't make espresso is demonstrably bad advice.

@lovealways.natalie thank you!! 💖💖
It doesn’t look like the grind size was correct. Might go from good to great after you have spent some time dialing in this bag of beans.
Ahh yes you're right I think I need to make some adjustments and it will taste much better. Thank you for the tip! 😊

@@systemofapownbro is completely right (apart from aeropress, not espresso), spend $500 on the grinder and $100 on the machine not $300 on both.
@@systemofapown can u reccomend some grinder to go with bambino plus? a budget grinder ofcourse
