Will be looking to change the top handle to a metal one that folds flat for transportation. Will also be looking to buy a backup dial since this one sticks out and looks like it might be easy to lose or break. Just purchased this and am looking forward to using it this summer! Great video - thanks!

Is there a way to change the hose so that it can connect directly to an RV via a quick connect, so that you don’t have to bring along a separate propane tank? Or can can you get a longer hose, to hook directly to one of the RV’s propane tanks?

During assembly for the collection pan, spacer, and bolt/nut (step 5) are all parts meant to be flush with each other? I have a wax ring in the nut that prevents the bolt from tightening past a certain point, making the collection pan kind of dangle under the fire pit rather than feel securely fastened to the bottom. Is that how it is supposed to be? Thank you for your help!

The “Collector Pan Nut” part # 122154 is a Nylon locking nut. We believe that is probably what you mean when stating “a wax ring”. You just need to tighten the nut more. Take a look on page 3 of your Owner, Operation and Maintenance Manual for further instructions or contact out customer service team at (423) 775-2131 for additional help.

can you use it with a smaller propane container?

    • @AirxcelIncRVGroup

Yes you can take a smaller LP gas tank as long as it has the correct valve (the one you find on the tank for your grill), but of course you will have less fire duration. You can use a 20lb propane tank or a 5lb propane tank; however, the 1 lb bottles will not work with the fire pit.

Do you have any run times you can post on a 20lbs tank on high vs low flame?

Is there a grate for it so you can cook on it?

You can roast marshmallows or hot dogs using roasting sticks, but it is not ideal for grilling and does not have an available grate.
