The second point of introducing is soooo true!! I introduced myself as a videographer and the people I was talking to just automatically thought I was a wedding videographer cuz that’s pretty much all she knew about videographers then I went into detail about how I wanna help small businesses grow their social media and create content for them, so that is a great tip and I’m going to keep that on mind!!
This is actually something I’ve learned in recruiting. That a person can get as creative as they like with a title as long as they’re doing the details they mention. Example I can call myself an “On call transportation concierge” instead of calling myself an Uber driver. What you call yourself ultimately becomes your identity . In your eyes and other people
@ sorry for your loss. Two of my aunts lost their homes as well. Aside from other family and friends. The city is definitely hurting. Really all of them.
Man this is good.. real good. I have a question.. with your retainer clients, if they ask for something that’s outside the agreement, like a video for an event. Do you charge them for the event or just shoot the video because they are retainer clients?
I realized the 2nd point was probably the reason I avoided attending a networking event because I didn't know how I wanted to present myself as a filmmaker since I do so much.
@@fearlesslionmedia4232 yeah it depends on what the event is. If I’m in a event full Of realtors then I’m a Real estate media specialist or Visual Branding Specialist
Great video! I disagree with the section about introducing yourself with a niche-specific title. To me a videographer who says "Real Estate Media Specialist" is just like a barista saying they are a "Beverage Solutions Specialist". It would make my eyes roll if anyone tries to over-embellish and complicate the sound of their real title. All that to say, the message you gave is still very good and can be used by still using videographer, filmmaker, etc. Just follow it up with your specialty skillset that's relevant. Example: "I'm a videographer that focuses on real estate lead generating content." It's not wildly different than what you suggest but the title remains recognizable and yet you follow up with what the client needs to hear as a solution to their problem. Cheers!
Hi Semeion, I really appreciate your videos! One of my greatest challenges as a videographer is the editing. Once I have done the shoot I find it difficult to arrange my clips in a way that flows logically. I’m wondering what your process is like and how you might plan before a shoot so that you have a better idea of what your edit will look like? I hope you are holding up well with the fires in LA 🙏
I’m just starting out, but I found a Real Estate agent on a job board. I’ve been working with him for a year now and have had a lot of opportunities just through this one connection. I’m trying to expand and find more jobs. I just started an upwork account and have my first contract coming up soon. Has anyone used upwork that might have some tips for the platform?
Excellent videos always my guy. I’m trying to be like you when I grow up. Question for you what exactly is the set up? You’re using in this video as far as Camera and Lens??? Outside of being a CMS (creative media specialist🫡) I’m in the Trucking space and would love to do a set up like this
"Digital Lead Specialist" is gold. Great video as always 💯
Thanks! That's what it's all about.
Number 2 is a gem! Went from saying I’m a videographer to saying I’m a creative director
It’ll change a lot for you moving forward
The introduction part is gold. thanks a lot

I charge them for the event .
I took notes

Actual valuable advice! No general advice that most youtubers read off a chat gpt script.
Only giving advice on stuff that works for me
@@Semesem_ for real I’ve never heard those tips these are actually so valuable..

Glad to hear you’re getting some traction, keep hustling!
I'm starting out for free for practice making a business video for a friend from my wife's work
That’s a good way to start
Deam, I still waiting to make videos for my page :(
Gotta get on that man. No time to waste
You should be able to speak to the things you say . Not saying you don’t ..just saying whoever uses what you are saying needs to have that knowledge
I don’t know what you’re talking about

Outside of being a CMS (creative media specialist🫡) I’m in the Trucking space and would love to do a set up like this
I used the Sony fx3 + 35mm 1.4 g master
