It's not up to William, though I'm sure he will be consulted. He is currently being "bigged up" by the press in a way that probably isn't very good for him, because he is not King yet and the British tabloids tend to start attacking people they have made too prominent. I can see that as a family, they'll probably help him out-a nice residence in one of the commonwealth countries with a generous but reasonable allowance.
