Trump is an excellent con many, perhaps the greatest. This video tries to use his own methods against him. That just cedes him the advantage.
Ultimately, with a con man, the remedy is hard work. That is why dishonesty is such a poison, not so easy to fix. We have to persuade people based on real reason and real facts. It's a lot harder. It might seem to be giving Trump the advantage, because it is so much easier to lie. But it is not so easy to lie as well as he does. He uses the big lie techniques of the Nazis. And he is known to have read up and studied that since the 1980s at least. Truth is an advantage because it is true. We can defeat him based on that.
But Trumps real best advantage is that so much of US politics from the Democrats and the consensus is built on lies to begin with. The inequality, the military economy, the environmental self harm, the for profit health care. You need to actually challenge this nonsense, as Trump does (with BS proposals) in a truthful way. That is a hard task they are hard political questions. But it would be worth it. This is why Bernie Sanders was the only one with a good chance of beating Trump. When Trump elevates the lies, you have to elevate what you have. This is also why Trump is still so strong, his opponents cling to the Biden/Clinton/Obama dynasty that people are sick of and does not actually make healthcare public, or fund the nation instead of buying bombs to export, or meaningfully improve our environment. Of course Trump is worse on all this.
The fascism of Trump must be stopped, but it won't be stopped by more of the same. AI isn't that creative it turns out.
