"Watermelon In Easter Hay" (Studio Version), from Joe's Garage, the 3LP Concept Set. "Apostrophe(')" from the LP of the same name. "Willie the Pimp" with Capt. Beefheart from the Hot Rats LP.

@@ReactionsToTheClassics There is just so much oot there. A lot of stuff has been rereleased with Extra tracks as well. Live in New York was originally released as a Double LP that had two versions. One with a different track as WB decided after some had been pressed they didn't want one of the tracks to go oot. It was later rereleased in 2019 as a Three LP and Five CD set. It has a Twenty Eight min version of "Black Napkins" which may not be suitable for RUclips but is worth checking oot.

This was a nice surprise for today! One size fits all might be the “best” Zappa album (to me at least) in terms of the earlier 60s to mid 70s period. It’s a culmination of all his albums up to that point, with the album cover making reference to his earlier albums. Inca Roads is one of my favorites of his and the live versions is so good it feels like they just played the album version and mimed over it.

Zappas first album "Freak out" 1966 involves some very unpredicted stuff. It sticks out in any way thinkable. "Truble every day" has been argued as the first rap song. I know it is not true, but maybe in English... "Who are the brain police" (+ Gustaf Holt's " the Planets" - much earlier - and Arthur Brown's "Fire" - slightly later) makes some sort of platform for the heavy rock and metal to come with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Both songs has later live versions which Zappa had transformed to something different - as he tended to do. The cover of "Freak out" also presents a list of about 60 persons who had influenced him, and it seems that it was valid up to his death. He composed constantly from early teens to his death. A very strange, but important, person.
