I was going to suggest this but wasn't sure if you would like it. The whole LP this is from rocks.
You might also like the Yellow Snow "suite". It's four connected tracks from his (')Apostrophe LP that tells a story. "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow", "Nanook Rubs It", "St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast" and "Father O'Blivion". It comes in at just over ten mins for the whole thing.

Torture never Stops (Studio Version) is a deeply scary song.. terrifying actually. From the Zoot Allures album which has many great tunes on it. Play that one too loud and you will get cops at your door thinking there was a murder.

True! Frank was a conductor and band leader. He auditioned and hired professional musicians, wrote their parts (all those he hired read music, IIRC), then REHEARSED THEM until they were ready, then toured!

The man on your Shirt went to Frank's house in the valley. Said the same thing about him as a lot of other 27-year-oldish rockstars that died around the same time. Frank really did think he could play greatly, but shouldn't have done drugs. Frank, contrary to many uninitiated, did not do drugs.

I enjoyed your reaction to this classic Frank Zappa tune. Keep in mind that this band could pull this off live and sound exactly the same. In fact, as you delve into more Zappa, you might react to some of the live versions one in particular is of the song “Cosmic Debris”. It was posted I believe about 13 years ago. This version of the song is blessed with extended solos from three members of the incredible band! Enjoy your journey!

Thanks for the reaction and good to see you enjoyed the track. I'd recommend 'Inca Roads' next, another complex instrumental masterpiece with an element of fun, or 'Florentine Pogen', a song about a cookie (!) which gets less attention on RUclips, but is equally complex, with a massive, pompous riff undercut by some outre humour.

For much of the early Zappa stuff there are almost only audios left. It was the only available for us back in those days. I havent seen this live with Frank - But, his son Dweezil makes an excellent cover of this song ft Napoleon Murphy Brock and Steve Vai who both were parts of different versions of Mothers of Invention.

Great reaction. Zappa fans are always happy to see someone get there minds blown by a Zappa song. But... we all must WARN you... sometimes... Zappa's lyrics can get kind of personal..lol.
Remember... he has a wicked sense of humor, and sometimes his songs have TEETH. And they DO bite. Trust me, sooner or later you're going to come across a song that you will NOT find amusing... it's just a matter of time. Just try to take whatever he says with a grain of salt. With Zappa, no one is safe. Music is the best.

Zomby Woof: great springboard into the Zappaverse! However, beware: sixty albums quite easily equates to forty percent bullsh*t. I love Frank, but, unlike the mindless, I won't blindly lap up everything he's ever oozed out. Choose wisely.

I’m pleased it’s not just me. Some of it is bad and I have to wonder if in some of them Zappa was taking the **** out of those who would tell the emperor his new clothes looked lovely.
The good stuff though is beyond incredible. Inca Roads, Montana, Zomby Woof, Yellow Snow Suite… biggest regret at the end of my time might just be that I wasn’t born early enough to ever see Zappa play.
