HAPPY KING’S DAY 2021!!! | Koningsdag | Dutch National Celebration of the King’s birthday

King’s day is a national public holiday in the Netherlands to celebrate the King’s birthday, King Willem Alexander - Held every 27th of April. For 2 years now, due to the pandemic, the celebration is cancelled or done in a more quiet manner, I would say. Not similar to the usual celebration where streets are filled with crowds partying in orange, street drinking and dancing, with flea markets in almost every corner, pubs and restaurants full of people, mini concerts and more.
At 4:30pm today, we will have the National toast to the Dutch King where people can join from their homes and celebrate with the king via televised program in local dutch networks.
