You obviously didn't spend any time in the London area then. The idea that you'd think anywhere other than London and the Home Counties pioneered hardcore or laid the foundations for drum and bass is so wide of the mark as to make me think you're having a laugh,
@@andypandy4078 Bro that was a tad harsh! He said "helped lay the foundation ". Not invented. You're one of these ...oh no mate it was grooverrider who broke drum n bass, type people...
@@andypandy4078 It doesn't even have a breakbeat and Joey Beltram, R&S were a solidly respected techno label back then. I agree that they were not around London at the time when the whole breakbeat scene emerged, then hardcore house, dark hardcore in 1993 and "ragga Crisis" by 1995, when people started using the term "Drum and Bass" for the music. What they had in the North was "Bleep House" of 1990, which was a really clean sound based on techno, "square-beats" in 4/4 time at 120bpm, even a zombie could dance to. Mentasm was a great remix, itself trying to trend in with the emerging hardcore sound, but Joey has to stick to his 4/4 time, as does R&S back then, so you'd have to be a complete n00b to even try and link this to hardcore, even though being in London in 1991, this one was played, but the hardcore tunes were more popular, shit even the "toytown" ones were more played over this. Northern clubs, even the Haciencda were not much cop. People were still dressing up in suit and tie to go raving up there, just like today. Completely different scene. I personally could not see the point of ever going unless it was an open air rave, which were always home counties anyway.
R&S were the bollocks in 1991! What a belter😎
Agree. One of the pioneers of rave & techno music 💯
Classic rave tune, still have the original & this remix, both legends 👊
Masterpiece 🙌🙌🙌
Now that !!!!! is how you remix a record
I agree its a good remix but the original is soooo good not sure remix was needed
