I can verify that rosemary oil does help grow hair back after hair loss. I did this, and castor oil at night/slept on it/ under a cap (to keep heat in) after i lost 50% of my hair. My hair has regained its length and thickness 🙏🙏❤️
Would you mind sharing your exact recipe? I have lost more than half of my hair and I am really wanting something to help as I continue to work with the doctors to understand why.
@@Nicole06042I have alopecia. I use the mielle hair oil and a microneedle. It helps with my bald spot. I used to have really bad hair loss. I can recommend stuff but I am black so not sure if you can follow that or not. Besides that I can say the biggest tip I can give is that oiling it and leaving it alone. Not doing too much to it was the biggest help in getting my hair to grow. It is well past my bra strap now. Thick and healthy. I do have one spot but it is growing back after the microneedle and oil.
@@Nicole06042 I also lost about the same amount & I had to stop washing my hair to nearly once a mnth as I couldn't bear to see the loss! I've gone more or less all natural now & found a great hair tea that works amazing! Im using non chemical natural shampoo & conditioner bars Along with marine collegen powder, viviscal tablets & a mix of Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Banana oil & Rosemary & Mint oil I've noticed alot less fall out & new growth but you have to be consistent.
YES. Several drops of rosemary oil mixed in castor oil and rubbed in my scalp 3 times a week has actually filled in my thinning hairline. My hairstylist is shocked. It's taken about 7 months to grow a little over an inch but I was literally going bald before so I'll take it!
Facts!!! I lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time & I lost a lot of hair as a consequence. Now I use rosemary w mint oil and castor oil before I wash my hair. When the hairs were growing back in I actually thought it was more breakage and hair loss, but my hairdresser told me "No that's all re- growth!!! " 😊. I have bangs and the re- growth is already the same length as my bangs!!!! I've been using the oils consistently for a few months! I hope this helps. ☺️☺️☺️
Applying natural oils during scalp massages actually works in hair fall control. Oils such as coconut, onion, as well as rosemary are especially good. I combine a few drops of rosemary oil with my liiitleextraa cooconion hair oil shampoo set, and this really worked in seeing good hair growth.
I’ve made my second purchase I’ve bought this coconnion hair shampoo because the product helped with controlling my hair fall. I also make use of a massager for my scalp as I shampooing. overall 5/5
I learned this from another video and I’ve been doing it for over a year. I get a bit of of my shampoo on the palm of my hand, I add 4-5 drops of rosemary essential oil and add a bit of water. I make a lather and plop it on top of my scalp and spread around with my fingers. I then use a scalp massager and I delicately go around my scalp and massage with it. It’s very soothing and that has helped immensely with my hair loss.
@@meimei9003 you have to dilute the oil with water or maybe mix it with something else? All I know and have been told is to not use straight up pure rosemary oil.
@@gymfoodie20_42 NOT true. Rosemary is not what is considered a “hot” oil and can be used alone however, it is about the QUALITY that makes it a FACT that u can use it alone. Basically if it does NOT have a NPN# on it, do NOT use it on your skin. ‘Diffuse ONLY. IF it is PURE like a brand such as Young Living or DōTerra, that is just fine. As a matter of fact, the study that was done at Aberdeen Infirmary continued to follow up with patients post study to see how they were doing with their own follow up which is certainly a different way to do a study but it is a Naturopathic product so anything goes. One of the questions was “Are you still using Rosemary Oil and if yes, what brand and how?”. As it turned out, over 50% of the participants of the original Study had indeed continued to use Rosemary, They were adding 15ml of PURE cold distilled Rosemary to their shampoo (any shampoo, the type did not have any bearing because it was everything from Boots to Oribe. The bottle size of shampoo was 150 mls. Their growth had continued and stayed healthy with the continued use. Some admitted to adding it to their conditioner as well (same ratio…15ml Rosemary to 150ml of Conditioner) and have continued to use both with great success. I am a Nurse Practitioner (Ret. Now due to illness) however I have worked on 3 Continents and 11 Countries and I have learned far MORE from the people I served than I ever did in Uni. I learned so much about nature and natural medicine that were Naturopathic Medicine been around when i went to school I would have gone in that direction. I had asked a “Medicine Woman” with one of the Indigenous Tribes that I had the honor to work with about just this topic….she has AMAZING HAIR. So think that my ponytail holder went around HER HAIR ONCE…..it went around mine three or four times LOL. She told me she used Rosemary, Aloe Vera (COLD pressed), Tea Tree Oil and Lavender. Each oil had its own “job” to do. They were mixed a week before using and the ratios were equal to each other. She said you could make up to 2 weeks at a time as it sits for one week. After the sitting you only have 2 weeks to use the remainder of the mixture. She kept it in a dark bottle in a cool room. She used it every morning from scalp to tip of her hair. One day I saw her using another bottle that I had not seen her use before…..I asked her what it was and she replied that it was an ORGANIC liquid Melatonin! I was kind of lost but then I found out a little more about ORGANIC LIQUID melatonin (You can do your own research as it is really fascinating) a short version from MY Naturopathic Doctor was that she understood completely WHY. Liquid ORGANIC Melatonin on the body acts like a hormone and stimulates the follicles as well as assists in keeping ALL of the other ingredients TOGETHER as a binder so to speak. (Again, the same ratio of Organic Liquid Melatonin to whatever amount you are making) she agreed with pretty much everything this amazingly brilliant “Medicine Woman” said. She agreed that the Melatonin would work well in this mixture and she had learned a lot about these in school as hair loss is a big deal for so many people especially Oncology patients and their skin is so delicate and fragile that she explained what the “job” of each product was for. Needless to say, Interesting is an understatement!! I urge people to speak to their own Naturopathic doctor especially if they have one with their designation having had worked I Oncology. They are a rare breed with a lot of education on the job vs class room which IMO is the BEST. When I became ill and started to lose my long waist length Ginger hair…..I was looking at You Tube wanting to learn how to tie a noose I was THAT depressed. I was in the darkest place I had ever been as my hair was ME, it was how I was KNOWN. I felt like a piece of my heart was lost….it was not vanity, it was truly and purely a piece of my personality. I became introverted, sullen, negative….all things that NO ONE who knew me would ever describe me as. I started to use this concoction with the Organic Melatonin. I added it to my Shampoo AND Conditioner as well as using it as a scalp treatment. More is MORE…..right? LOL. The antithesis of all I have learned and taught. Well, my hair is now to the middle of my back (3-4 years) as I have had it cut several times. It is thick and…..here is the kicker……..It is WHITE. As in Platinum WHITE. My Daddy has Platinum Hair as well. He was Irish so his beard was ginger as is my Baby Brothers who is also slowly getting strawberry blonde with a LOT of WHITE. PLATINUM BLONDE it is called. I even had a woman run up to me in a frenzy and ask “WHO does your hair??It is beautiful! I a paying over $200 a month for my Daughter to have hair your color and it looks nothing like that!! Please tell me what the name of your Salon is!”….. well, I was caught off guard so that was awkward……I just looked at her and said “God”. She stared at me for a minute and.I thought “Uh-oh…..I hope she knows I was NOT joking???” And she FINALLY spoke…..and I couldnt make this up if I tried…….she said “I don’t know that Salon, Could you write it down for me?” And she started to hand me a piece of paper…….So, I wrote on it “GOD, GOD does my hair. Not a Stylist, not a Salon. God. I am blessed genetically as well as spiritually. I am sorry but your Daughter does NOT want to go through what I have gone through to get this hair. Tell her to just BE HERSELF.”. I handed her the note and smiled and told her to have a beautiful day and I walked away. She shoved the paper in her bag and walked the other way waving “Thank YOU SO MUCH!!!”. So, yes, Rosemary Oil DOES work alone on your head. However, I have done ALL of those ingredients by themselves and alone and I can not tel you enough that the entire line up of ingredients done the way I was taught by the Medicine Woman as well as adding the Organic liquid melatonin into BOTH my shampoo and conditioner was the “IT” factor for me along with using it 1-2 times a week on my scalp and hair as a treatment under a shower cap for a couple of hours. My hair is amazing and I love it. I miss my Ginger dearly however, no chemicals for me thank you. All natural. It works. Just remember to rinse well and keep any “leave on” afterward OFF of your scalp. Try hard to NOT use any of that garbage on your scalp. I Even use a SPF on my scalp now as it is PINK. Bright brand new baby pink. I wear hats and I use an amazing SPF so THAT is something to ask a Derm about. Anyway, there is a novel that I hope explains the why and how and who. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. I was blessed as I LIVED mine. Even with what I went through….I am still blessed every day to have lived a beautiful life and worked everywhere on this big blue marble. To have learned when I was to be teaching and to teach when I was to be learning. Blessed. No other word says it better. NOW, I spend my days staying happy and positive to the best of my ability. Some days SUCK and some are miraculous. No matter what is thrown at me, Every single day is a GIFT. Learn something new every day. Then you KNOW you are LIVING and not just being alive. A huge difference. Be well and G-d Bless.

After pregnancy, I noticed my hairfall but I remained calm. I acted to to control it. I opted for a health-centered strategy. I prioritized my nutrition, having nutrient-rich foods, especially rich in Protein, Biotin. I exercised daily and practiced meditation for stress control. I just stayed away from tight hairstyles and quit using heated hair tools to prevent hair damage. I even started using LittleExttra's Coconion shampoo, hair oil combined with a neem wood comb. The result was hairfall control and the recovery of my hair.
My hair was falling out and this helped it! I like to add pumpkin seed oil too and peppermint with tea tree oil along with rosemary! 😊 takes about 3-6 months. Consistency is key.
I started taking pumpkin seed oil supplements. Mayo clinic did a study on it with mens hair loss. 30% increase in hair growth than those that did the placebo. So I thought I'd try and after a couple weeks I am noticing more hair growth. I think we get faster results when we treat within, vs topically. I have also been focusing on gut health

The only thing that actually made/ makes my middle-aged hair grow like I was 18 is a VERY easy Scalp Gua Sha / Acupressure routine. I can barely see my part! A few months ago, it was widening and my hair was barely growing!
My hair started falling out years ago probably because of age, my mothers hair has thinned a lot! After heart surgery last year it started falling out in clumps, many mornings spent crying in front of the mirror. I started using rosemary oil and I’ve seen so much improvement plus my hair has stopped shedding. I may never get back the full head of hair I had when I was younger but I’m happy to not have my scalp visible through the strands 😊
My doctor said sudden hair loss can also be attributed to a traumatic event. My daughter lost her baby and I had sudden extreme hair loss (my hair has always been a little thin and fine anyway). 2 years later it still is recovering slowly.
Well I guess if push came to shove U could do like Dolly Parton does. She has about 365 different wigs so she said she never has abad hair day. Rogaine causes heart palpitations. My mom had to be rushed to emergency. They couldn't figure out what was causing her heart to flutter and irregular heart beats. Finally, it slipped out that she was using Rogaine. They advised her to stop!
Rogaine was originally used for high blood pressure and was found to regrow hair. I lost a lot of my hair after a surgery but after my doctor recommended Rogaine, I started experiencing dizziness and palpitations. I stopped taking it after nine months and my hair fell out even more. I will try the rosemary oil.

Going to try it. I generally do not take everyone at their word, but you have been spot on with other things- and those ingredients are wonderful. Thank you!!
I don't use rosemary oil, but for the past few days I have been using a homemade recipe for rosemary tonic, and has been helping a lot to reduce the oiliness of my hair , leaves it very soft and shiny, besides that a lot of new hairs are growing. I heated about 300ml of water with 4 cloves and turned off the heat when the water was about to boil. I put a spoonful of rosemary, covered it and left it for a few hours . I use it 3x a week and it has made a lot of difference to my hair (Edit: I started using the tonic 1 day before I changed my hair color, that was July 14th. Today, August 4th, my root has already grown about 1 centimeter and my hair extension looks a lot healthier, even more if you take into account all the things I've done with it lol)
Would you be so kind to maybe give me the recipe for that rosemary thing you use? If not it’s totally fine but I’m interested to see if it would work for me
@@colonelbreadsticks of course! Is very simple. First you need 300 ml of water, and put 4 cloves there. You heat the water until is almost boiling and turn the heat off, then you put the rosemary (one full tablespoon is enough) and leave everything sitting together for some hours - this is called infusion, if you boil the rosemary, it will loose all the good properties. After this you can pour it on a container (like a small bottle or a spray) and apply in your scalp, massaging gently, 2-3 times a week. You can also put in your ends or brush it off from to the top to the bottom ;) Hope I helped
It does work. When I straightened my hair with a liquid straightener. ( Do not use btw) My hair fell out by not handfuls but chunk's not to mention Burt to a crisp. It took over a month. But, this stuff made it come back 10 fold.

Rosemary+castor oil works wonders for me, my temples are starting to fill after only 2 months. Dermarolling once a week and the typical hair vitamins like biotin, zinc, selen, b12 and d3. yes, it's true only a few drops (10-15 drops) and I also add a tbsp of virgin coconut oil and a tbsp of castor oil. The mixture for me should be warm for the coconut oil to melt and I apply and massage on my scalp. I shampoo my hair after 30 mins.

Also instant coffee (dissolved in water) on your hair shampoo would stimulate hair follicles to grow. Notorious results are usually seen after a month.
It's the actual act of massaging, with the oil that does the trick, if your hair has turned silver or gray, your hair will be naturally thinner, due the lack of colour, if you massage your nails every night with oil, instead of going to the salon, they will grow long, it's consistency that makes the difference.
Hi guys i try 20 ml of each oil , pumpkin seed, black seed, castor oil and rosemary put it on my scalp and massage it in then rub excess towards the ends of the hair, i do this once or twice a week to promote hair growth , leave in over night and wash thoroughly with shampoo, I've started doing this after some research you can double or triple the quality if you don't want you always refill it, however please do your own research and see what best suits you as I know some people can be allergic to certain products, my research was based on RUclips channel I watched and reviews about products and then made my own conclusion on how much to use to see how it works and so far so good , so what I use is based on my own opinion of what I think works best on me
Seriously contemplating rescuing my hair from complete loss being willing to smell like rosemary chicken....wonder if eucalyptus does the same. Smells better and makes my nails grow fast.

My hair is longer than her hair and naturally silky soft, and I use any oil I get and any shampoo I can find for a lower price. And sometimes, if I am out of shampoo, I use the body wash 😅. For people who want to know how. One, it is genetics that does the central part; both my parents have very, very light hair, but their brothers and sisters have thicker hair. Since my childhood, I always keep my hair oiled. I always have oil in my hair ( in moderate quantity ) my hair is always braided. I don’t blow dry it and do so only when necessary. I shampoo only twice a week and every day if I am going to the gym. I use a comb to activate the blood flow. A very, very, very big NO NO to conditioner; instead, I use the oil. No hair colors. I use natural Heena if required. I prefer embracing my age ☺️. I always protect my hair from the sun with a scarf. Use a pillow with smooth silky texture ( I don't use one, but it helps with static hair for my daughter ). Braid your hair when going to sleep. And yes, Castro oil does wonders when used with other oils. I have never tried it with rosemary. But I will do so soon and see what difference it will make 😊
Also sage tea real strong, you can buy a large bag of loose sage , after you drain in off in a calender, into a bowl, with another bowl,to catch the tea in the sink, use a cup to poor the tea onto your scalp. Massage scalp,, then run the caught tea And catch with the emty bowl. Do the same process, 3 times .then put the oil rubbed into your scalp. Rosemary and caster oil.

Reminder that there is no miracle treatment for hair, how your hair looks is 90% genetics. The best thing you can do for it is eat a good diet with lots of fruits, veg, and protein. And make sure you’re getting sufficient nutrients especially iron. Masks and oil treatments can help hair health but it will not be such a dramatic difference. Also if you’re struggling with hair loss, dry scalp etc and nothing helps, it could be hormonal problems (such as underactive thyroid) so it’s worth getting blood tests
Yea genes choose your hair density and thickness but caring for your hair makes a huggee difference in appearance. That's kinda why I don't like comments like yours, they're just discouraging tbh.
I used to have rly thick hair bcz of my genes but it’s thinned so much, so I think genes can give u a benefit but it doesn’t mean you’ll always have healthy hair :(

Coconut oil too and tea tree oil
YES. Several drops of rosemary oil mixed in castor oil and rubbed in my scalp 3 times a week has actually filled in my thinning hairline. My hairstylist is shocked. It's taken about 7 months to grow a little over an inch but I was literally going bald before so I'll take it!

@Samkainstamix the castor oil with other oils. Easier.
I also make use of a massager for my scalp as I shampooing. overall 5/5
The Aberdeen Infirmary did a study of aromatherapy oils on Alopecia Areata and it was shown to be beneficial.
This makes sense to me
I learned this from another video and I’ve been doing it for over a year. It’s very soothing and that has helped immensely with my hair loss.
did u used pure rosemary essential oil or already mixed with other carrier oils?

It's the actual act of massaging, with the oil that does the trick, if your hair has turned silver or gray, your hair will be naturally thinner, due the lack of colour, if you massage your nails every night with oil, instead of going to the salon, they will grow long, it's consistency that makes the difference.

rosemary oil you mean the essential oil right?
How does it tates
Yes. I use a mixture of Rosemary essential oil and extra virgin coconut oil too. It helps a lot.
even just vco works for me but it smells disgusting, maybe with rosemary it could work and smell better
@@binary964 the rosemary essential oil doesn't smell the roses. It has a sharp herb like smell. I use the mixture like I use hair mask. About 30 mins before washing my hair.
Put it on your scalp, and add a few drops to the shampoo.
Maybe she just has thick hair because of her genetics? 🤷🏾♀️
Where are the before and after pics?
I have a long, good hair with out using any type of special stuff, no masks just regular shampoo and conditioner from Walgreens while few friends of mine have problems with hair so they buy very expensive vitamins, masks, shampoos, and Nothing really helps them so I agree I think mostly depends on genetic...I'm Asian by the way
@@jikaarthou probably you use the right shampoo for yourself and you already have straight hair it's the easiest to manage. With curlier hair types hair gets drier so you have to find best shampoos/conditioners, stylers be more carefull while detangling and stuff but vitamins don't help unless you already have a health problem. But yeah you're lucky, for me it takes so much more time to maintain my hair but it worths i think it's like me and my hair time😅
Genetics. straight thick dark hair grows the longest because it's more resilient.
True
I’m not disputing the rosemary but she’s a RUclips named Audrey and has always had thick hair and she’s had a baby within the last year
I love this doctor. Love educated.❤
Hey doc. I created my own little blend of oils and right off the bat it started working. My hair felt like a thousand bucks after the first time.
Well what was it
Please share.
I call cap... unless you share what you used. Anyone can claim anything info or it didn't happen
I used rosemary oil, coconut oil, olive oil and honey. I didn't use some of the ones in the video because I didn't have them. The measurements are 2 tablespoons of each except the honey. That's 1 tablespoon. I apologise for my late response. My phone was stolen two nights after I wrote that comment and I used an older phone until I bought another phone. I'm sorry
@@leannadial1139 thank you for your tip. you can also start your own business around it! :D
It’s all about genetics. But I’m sure it helps. Every little bit helps. But you can’t say this woman was thinning. She has full think hair by nature. (Genetics play a part also) my neighbor is 73 and she has extremely beautiful thick hair. It’s beautiful!!!! When I say extremely thick ? It’s extremely thick ! But all her family has hair like hers. Even her 80 year old brother. Full set of hair.
I use rosemary rice water, I guess it works in oil too
Interesting! Do you leave it on your scalp overnight or just spray all over and leave for a few hours and wash?
Add onion...to the rice garlic and rosemary
Rosemary (Spanish:-Romeo) also is also used dandruff. I learned this from this Mayas in Southern Belize.
Romero☺️ interesting!
Ok, if Dr. Youn says it works, I buy it!
Then why does my hair start falling out from roots when I apply any oil...but stops when I don't use oil?🙁
I use rosemary water and I see a difference because I always had very thin hair

Got super bad kidney infection ended up hospitalized for 2 weeks...massive hair loss, grey. No amount of oils will help cause hair growth and health have to do with building of hair before it grows out scalp. But if your hair is already healthy and strong by all means use all the oils you want. For cleansing, management and styling.
Just because it didn't work for you, doesn't mean it doesn't work PERIOD. I swear by Rosemary Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Argan Oil, and Jojoba Oil for hair growth. It helps stop the excess shedding process of your hair, stimulates hair follicles, strengthens hair and JBCO & Rosemary definitely stimulate hair growth. I've grown out bald patches to almost 1 1/2" in less than a month, my usual hair growth rate is 3/4" to 1" a month. Do not discourage and discredit people because of your failed experiences.
@@richrosegold610 she's actually correct. She's also recounting her own experience. From a scientific point, it's a good thing to balance anecdotal evidence because that is all we women have to go by. If you notice, even Dr Youn will not professionally commit himself to these "remedies"... he will only listen to the media anecdotes and cast a judgement of perhaps yes, or probably no. He would be inundated with lawsuits otherwise. Our world is our experience. I agree with OG. I also agree with your experience. Just not your rebukes.
Margaret, have you being able to nurse your body back to health?
Same for me re hair loss. Post Covid// pneumonia and 3+ week hospital, I have massive hair loss. Doing other stuff, but these sound reasonable. Will try them!
Hair, Nail, Skin vitamins helped me a lot, when I had hair loss. Actually stopped it, in two weeks. I still take them.
Yes rosemary oil works really well but please don’t leave it on overnight since it can attract dirt and clog pores when you’re asleep
Not if you put in as a tea and not an oil
ok, then why does the doc say overnight?

Do you think my hair will turn to pasta if I do this?
It might, but it'll be great with some garlic and a little parmesan sprinkled on top!

I always have oil in my hair ( in moderate quantity )
my hair is always braided.
But I will do so soon and see what difference it will make 😊
My mom was jealous of my hair she kept cutting it short
Supplements also help (biotin, folic acid, etc).

I actually make custom oil mixes for persons to add to use or it can be added to serums, shampoo/conditioner, etc. Rosemary in fact does help with hair growth and thickness and to kick it up a bit add a little peppermint oil too 😉
But are those result permanent? Or your hair will start to thin after you stop applying it like Minoxidil?
@@TheKunalanand29 I apologize that I am just now seeing your question. I have stopped using it many times and it didn’t thin back out. I have had great success with the mixture I mix.

Fact! Currently doing this myself... 1 tablespoon of coconut oil mixed with 5 drop of rosemary oil! I've been doing it twice a week for 3 weeks now, already have baby hairs where I previously lost hair!
Does rosemary only work if you're restoring thick hair or can it thicken already thin hair to be thicker? I think ive always had thin hair but I wish it was thicker so I don't look like I have no hair 😂
If you try this, DO NOT use rosemary oil undiluted. Mix it in a carrier oil. There are resources online to find out the ratio that is safe for human skin.
I use roseMary oil mixed with aleovera gel. It's pretty good 👍
